Delta Airlines employees are RUDE, RACIST, and UNRESPONSIVE

  • Our church group includes 42 members and 40 of us are senior citizens. We were scheduled to fly out to Lisbon from DFW on a pilgrimage and our Delta Airlines got delayed for almost 4 hours without an apology. We missed our connection flights because of Delta. When we got to Atlanta airport, we tried to deal with these Delta Airlines "punks" and "gangsters". Our group got divided into 5 or 6 different groups and we have to fly to many different destinations and by the time all of us get to Lisbon, it will be 3 days behind our schedules. These punks said they only gave us one meal for 2 days. We don't care about the meals but we are so upset how they treat our group because we are Asian and 40 of us are senior citizens. When I told them that I will post this on social media and these 4 punks challenged me to do so and they didn't care. The guy in the red jacket pointed his fingers at me and asked his coworker to record me when I started recording him. We are starving and not knowing what's gonna happen to our luggages and where to stay. Lots of us are suffering at Atlanta airport. Don't fly with Delta people. This is our first and last time flying with this sucky and punky airlines.

    In my previous post I called out the Delta agents poor response to your situation. However, I subsequently read your comments in the description box and now have to call you out. It was bad enough that you referred to them as "punks," but then you went on to describe them as "gangsters." That description is tinged with racist overtones, and I am now questioning who the real racists are in this situation.

    How was he RUDE and RACIST?? Let’s see your companion’s conversation you edited out first. I would get a little unresponsive too as an employee if I feel the convo is going in circles and I can’t make the impossible happen with YOUR luggage.
    There’s 2 sides to every story and we only see 1 here.

    God damn. It is NOT those employees job to FEED YOU. Like you said in your description, you are all adults. If you can make it to the airport, I would assume you can feed yourself. Also, those employees did not delay your flight. They did everything they were supposed to do. You are all adults and should be able to take care of yourselves.

    I'm Asian, but I'm sorry I don't see any racism coming out of these Delta representatives. In fact, I went through these same Delta customer service representatives when I was traveling out of Atlanta airport back in January 2018, and they treat me well with professionalism and courteous. I'm sorry that you weren't pleased with their service, but it can happen to anyone despite of race, religion, gender, age or sexual orientation; not just Asians.
    And it's very hypocritical of you pulling a race card while calling them stereotype term "gangsters." Do us Asians a favor (especially us young generation), please educate yourself.

    I was polite and even one of the employees helped me understand and I honestly told them I don't need rude people like this. The black guy was rude and said don't answer her question. She answered anyways privately because I was shocked I couldn't even bring my own purse on the plane and I had to store it away. It's silly. How come we cannot bring purses? I need that to access my phone and passports. I hate going to the airport. The amount of rude employees and people are insane.

    1. Those 2 employees are not the reason your flight was delayed.
    2. He only recorded you, cause you recorded them. Thinking this video would help you...it didn't.
    3.No employee is being rude nor racist to you.

    5.As shown on the video, he was nice and patient with the 2 asian ldies thouhg. That matter was settled quick, instead of like an hour or 2 (like other places) Seems they were level headed too.

    The way employees are treated and disrespected and often times attacked maybe all airlines should equip their employees with body cameras. If it is okay for the customer to video tape the employee then the employee to protect him or herself needs some support if the event is edited and then posted. I worked as an airline gate agent and was attacked by a customer once and many times yelled at, cursed at and told I should die because I sent a passenger to the wrong gate after a gate change was made without my knowledge.

      No in fact he is a passenger service agent. The famous Delta "Red Coats.. They are neither a supervisor or a manager. They do have more authority than just a regular agent.

    I’m just stuck wondering why delta should be apologizing for the delay in the first place. Delta airlines does not control the weather. Qui dao you should know the risks of checking your bag. You obviously don’t fly often, and for some reason believe that you are entitled to food and shelter because of your poor planning.

    I'm a little confused here. First of all, it is very childish and unprofessional for the black guy to start recording and wasting the customer's time. Not missing your flight is extremely important and flights are expensive. I don't feel that he was being rude, the customers just didn't understand probably some rules regarding luggage. Things change all the time and I was surprised they now use face recognition for passports.

      Well, it looks like half your brain is working. Now, how do you think the agents felt? Oh, the same fucking way. "Let me pull out my phone, and record people working.. so they can get fired by MY LAWYER!" Literally the most annoying thing a customer can do--and it won't lead anywhere.
      As an Asian male, I've seen this behavior exhibited by other Asians. It repulses me. They don't understand proper English or customs and flip out, whip out the phone because "that's how you get on THE SOCIAL MEDIA."
      Dude posting this video should be thankful he didn't fly United. Or his phone would've been smashed into his face. Hell, I would've slapped the phone out of his hands if I saw this.

      Cameron T - Once again, the agents’ behavior was unprofessional. I guess if the customer had called them “bitches” it would have been okay for them to return the favor? No. When acting in a professional capacity you are (or should be) trained to uphold a certain standard-no matter what.

    What was the reason of the delay...? You didn't mention it in your description. You say they have been racist...no comments or what so ever were made about your origins nor language or what so ever SO PLEASE DON'T PLAY THE RACIST CARD to get sympathy. You were recording them, I assume without permission and so did they. In the description you insult these workers calling them "punks, gangsters"...seems to me that te racist one is you.

    Clearly there is no grooming standards on that airline as they allow an employee to look that way with a beard and hair so out of control. I have experience Deltas horrible service and will never use them again.
