    I had the fuel exe for a year and sold it because of battery life. I do 25+ mile rides and Trek couldn’t get me a range extender. I guess some parts of the world got them but not in my area. Otherwise it’s a great riding bike. Now I’m on the full power Bosch with 750 Wh battery and can do my long rides.

      Sorry to hear that. The Range Extenders are now available, and working well. Thanks BBB.

      @@BigBearBikes I checked with my bike shop in December and they said the range extenders were backordered and ETA was June 2024. Must be a problem in getting them to my region of the US. :( After waiting a year already for one I decided to get a full power bike with a bigger stock battery.

      I currently have a slash too and I’m looking for a rail. You can get average spec gen 4 for £4.5k now so prices are falling g a bit. Just don’t want domain forks

      @@timmayers4965 i looked a bit for rail. I think atm best is to wait. Black friday is the only time the prices get lowered on rails unless they are older models. I will wait for blavk friday and buy a high end one. I cant really enjoy aluminium frames after getting carbon. Carbon looks so much better. But if you dont care about frame. Getting lower end rail and upgrading the suspension, breaks and groupset is the best idea

    A review of the canyon strive underdog would be good, ive just bought one so im a bit bias 😄, But ive not seen anyone review one yet, only the mid range model. Everyone has all said to size down for ebikes, but this is my first ebike and i actually sized up to XL , im 6ft3 and i think it fits perfectly.

    The answer is simple. If you want to work on your fitness get the fuel. If you want to cruise around and stay fat get the rail.

      Oh, a bit harsh we feel. Its great to have the choice depending on rider requirement and type of riding, but the Rail is FAST, up or down hill! Thanks BBB

      If you want to work on your fitness don’t get an e-bike. Not saying you can’t get fit on them but if that’s your primary objective then no battery is the best option

    Is Trek Fuel Exe suitable for riders 187lbs+ upwards?

    • @BigBearBikes
      @BigBearBikes  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi & yes. Trek quote 300 lbs, as a combined weight of rider, cargo & bike. Thanks BBB 👍.

      @@BigBearBikes But that seems a safety requirememt rather than a usability one. I meant the weight limit for an expected performance in terms of what is advertized and featured.

      I'm 6'2, 220 lbs and ride a Fuel Exe. I can ascend 2800' vertical on Turbo, 20+ mi roundtrip and still have 10% battery remaining, no range extender. I bought it because it's very stealthy and quiet. It's the most fun I've ever had on bike. I can climb anything and am limited only by traction, always have plenty of power.

      @@skyoung419zThanks. Really valuable feedback. I am just concerned about the performance/consumption riding on techy/rocky uphills. You just need to see which trails are the ones used for these category advertisments.
