I could watch any other youtuber do this, but something about your videos are better. This has inspired me to want to try the basket twist on a railroad spike knife handle.
"I'm low on propane? well I'll just strong arm it then!" that is some true dedication my friend. I thought some of those heats seemed a little undercooked, so to speak, when you were twisting. Amazing work as always and I loved those twists. Seems incredible to believe they are all single pieces. Dragon Scale was easily my favourite, looked very fantasy hilt type design, with the Dice as a close second. Looking forward to more content from you, hopefully, soon :)
@@thespartan2224 I've also got to try and come up with 2 more unique twist which I think will look interesting. I've got three so far, which on paper at least should look cool.
When I first got into blacksmithing 30 yes ago, it was hard to find a master and there was no youtube. I made my cuts in hot stock with a chisel and more than once tried to twist and underheated piece. I feel your pain, lol.
TH-cam is such an amazing tool for learning this craft. I have used chisels too, and whilst I may be considered a philistine, I just find using an angle grinder more time saving. 30years is impressive. You could definitely teach me a thing or two. :)
Chiseling those lines is a pain in the ass. I've thought about using the angle grinder but wasn't sure how it would turn out. Seems to have worked just fine for you. Very nice work.
I recently started doing new twists and figured I would learn on thick pieces of scrap. I get trying to strong arm it because I had… not the right tools. I’m forging a twisting wrench now. Going to make my son, a gamer, a small knife with the dice twist as a handle. I am thinking it will be more decorative than anything else. The pineapple twist makes a very comfortable grip though!
Ya that basket twist is killing me. Have a hard time keeping them even. I was going to put a marble in the middle. After 4 trys and 2 bars jacked up I finally got 1 hahaha. Still working on it maybe 2 out of ten
I've just been trialing the Venturi for a while to see which I prefer. The forced air works fine, but is pretty loud, the Venturi seems to be able to get slightly hotter as well... Otherwise there is very little difference.
@@PJTForging I dare because you are on an island, and I'm on the mainland, and I'm pretty confident you can't throw an axe this far! 😁 Good educational video for us without a forge, I only knew the name of one of the twists.
Why do people put pop music in their videos? It's so annoying. Use some legit background music. I can't sit through this pop punk drivel just to watch the video, and I'm sure other people would feel the same way about music genres I listen to. That's why music that was made to be soundtrack type background music is better for this type of stuff (generally music with no lyrics), because we're all used to it, and people don't have the same tastes in music.
Oh come off it, it takes no effort to mute the video. Its rather entitled to expect there to be music that appeals to you on someone else’s personal channel. Just be glad he made the darn video and go about your day

Thanks Caden! Yeah man, do it! Lemme know how you get on. 🤘😆
Interesting twist on an old subject. Fantastic!
I see what you did there! 😉😂
Interesting, to the point, a little humor and no wasted time.
You earned my sub easily.

I'll do my best buddy, just waiting for some more steel to arrive. (I've already replaced the propane. 😁)
Thanks!
Well, having more propane is half the battle xD
Hopefully the steel shipment arrives soon.

well, at least now that the materials are ordered you have a bit more time and concentration to dedicate to coming with with the twists :D
Beautiful twist. Love them all👍👍🔥🔥🔥
Cheers! :)
Love the dice and the dragon one as well
Great work as per usual
Cheers! :)
definetly going to be using some of these in the future for unique projects
Let me know how you get on!
Fantastic content as always!! I always loved the dragon twist. I have an idea to make a dragon tail door knocker using it. Keep it up buddy.
Cheers! I've got 3 out of 5 original designs I want to put out in the next video... Just need 2 more interesting ones.
@@PJTForging look forward to seeing them
This was an amazing video! I think videos like this are great ways to get ideas
Thanks Alex! :)

Holy Jesus! Blast from the past! Hi Laura, hope you're well!

Brilliant vid mate just subscribe. Gonna watch the coal hammer vid next.
Thanks a lot! Hopefully you'll like what you see!
Appreciate your video. I will have to try these out soon.
Let me know how it goes!
I see you’re using the venturi burner head, what happened to your forced air burner head set up?
Great to see using modern tech, (grinder) on them.
Nicely done
Defenetly a very good reference to be added to any arsenal of HTLS (How to let see) 😉
An amazing job on this.
Pineapple twist this a lot better when you spin it opposite a quarter round at the end. Nice work
The joke in the intro was silly, predictable and childish.... I love it!
e: Very good video, very good music and a subscription I also left directly

Very nice work and demonstration! I subbed, thanks.

What brand is your anvil? It looks identical to mine? I really enjoyed this video.😊
Bro, Bro.... Thank You! No. Ca. USA
Fun video
the opposing sides of a dice should add up to 7, best throw that 1 away and start again with even less gas :D
Nerd. 😅
Ive made a 3 foot fire poker with the dragon twist on the bottom and dice at the top and everythin else twisted between
I'm curious on what could I use the basket twists, need examples because my imagination is shit lol
Why did you switch from forced air to ventury?

Well done, the music bridging was hardly noticeable.
Bad ass
Cheers! :)
Don't twist the blacksmith, all the foul liquids will come out! 😁

Yea if you are at the level to be capable of making the different twists. Should only need simple explanation

TH-cam music library dude. The choice is terrible. 😅
