I really like that. I think I'm going to experiment with doing that without flattening those edges quite so much first, so I could add it to my "decorative tool handle" repertoire.
Thank you. It means making a new set of fullers, witch is a lot of work. But I want to make these fullers for my hydraulic forging press, it should be one heat deal then.
Where do you suggest getting a belt sander for someone starting so I can polish the edges of what I will be making? Are the sander/grinder combo tools worth it to get? I'm on a small budget right now simply to see how into metalsmithing I get but I anticipate once I move I'll be looking to build a forging shed.
Nice work btw. Could you put a spring on your tool to keep it from bouncing off the square stock? I'm going to try this with a piece of square wire of sterling silver.
Very nice work. I like. On my channel there is a video of a forgue. But for some reason he is badly warming the workpiece. What can you recommend? I would appreciate your comment
Pretty sure at some point my subscription list will be half made up of blacksmithing channels. Just added this one, and I can't even do this stuff!, They're just nice to watch.
its amazing how something that looks so rough in the beginning turns out to look so nice as a finished product. beautiful work!!!
very cool, grinding off the edges of the twists gives it a really cool look ...finishes it very nicely
Thanks for sharing
Yamez here, I love the idea for the twist! Nice and organic.
Gotta try that, a great variation on the standard twist, and nice straightforward video presentation too...thx!

Thanks. Its a good idea using a T post, the grooves are already there.

Brand new sub from reddit. Loving your channel.
Maestro. Genio. Guru
Me encantó, 👍☀️🌵🖐️
thank you very much for showing this. I think the initial fullering would go a good bit faster if you used a smaller radius for the first pass.
Thank you. It means making a new set of fullers, witch is a lot of work. But I want to make these fullers for my hydraulic forging press, it should be one heat deal then.

Very nice
"Isolate the heat using septic tank water."
I can't think of how I'd utilize that twist but it looks cool. 👍
I'd use that has a handle I think.
Robert Emerson make a hundred of them and put them I the top of a wrought iron fence. That’s mega dollahs!!!
Super
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
I am in AWE! Forge on brother
very nice, new sub.
Thanks, by the way you are my sub number 666 :)
good way to make wavy hair
Nice wokr !!!
Nice work btw. Could you put a spring on your tool to keep it from bouncing off the square stock? I'm going to try this with a piece of square wire of sterling silver.
Thanks. The spring should help. But next time Im gonna make tools for my forging press. So this tool will be retired anyway.
LOL I was thinking the same thing as I watched the video
Klass!!!
Very nice. I also like your fullering jig. I really need a welder
Thanks. Everyone should have a welder, its basic human need :)
I didn’t realize it till I started trying this month ago
What happens if you just use the square stock?
Very nice work. I like. On my channel there is a video of a forgue. But for some reason he is badly warming the workpiece. What can you recommend? I would appreciate your comment
Робота класна! !а в кінці як пташка співає! !

Double reverse twist
Thanks
muy bueno
Интересная работа...
Только на превью показалось что квадрат пустотелый.разве такой не проще обработать?😊😊😉
Skoda anvil :)
What's the anvil's weight, how has the anvil been serving you? I have Škoda 60kg anvil also, a bit older though
Hi, my anvil is 80kg. Škoda anvil is one of the best, very good hardness, and nicely silent.
Quedó lindo che
Круто🤝👍
What tools/ items would you think that twist would suit? Liked & subd
Thanks. I made few shoehorns with this twist as a handle. Also, some fireplace tools wold look nice with this, I think.
This would make a great entry door handle for a large door
Need to get a tripod for the ole camera. 😊
Someone get this man a sandwich! By the way nice job!
lol really ? can you do a video on how to boil water next ?
Cool story bro.
