  • Today I am going to show you how to change the display on the Motorola Moto Z Play. I recommend buying some glue like the B6000 or T7000.
    Required tools-
    Plastic Card
    Flat Razor Blade
    Plastic Pick
    Glue (Like T7000) or double sided adhesive
    Heat
    Patience.

    In early 2019, I was working at an arena part time teaching hockey lessons, coaching, ice maint, etc. My phone vibrated off the players bench and landed on the ice when the zamboni was coming by. I watched by Moto Play Z get ran over by the front drivers side tire (spiked) and get thrown across the ice by the hydraulic board runner sweeper. Surprisingly, the phone would still turn on and off and the shake to come on flashlight worked..so I knew the phone was still good, just the screen was shattered. I attempted to plug it into my lap top, but I couldn't enable the USB mode..so I tossed it in a drawer and forgot about it. I found the phone again when we moved and I bought a new screen. This video and your help with the instructions and some patience allowed me to get the 2000+ photos of concerts and, most importantly, my family downloaded off the phone. Total cost was $37.00 for a new screen off ebay and $4.89 for some glue. I play guitar so I had the pick's..Thank you for this. What a memory saver!

    Hello @real world review, thank you very much for this video. After watching this, I've bought a new display screen for my moto z play, and following your instructions in this video i've replaced the broken one with ease, yeah, by myself! Thanks a million. God bless.

    Great video. Good photography, very clear in your steps and explanations. Can't tell you how many TH-cam vids are almost unintelligible and poorly filmed. Question: I can only find the T7000 online and it's a 2 week to month wait. I found E6000 locally. Would that work? It doesn't specifically say on the packaging that it will glue plastic, but it does have the nice needle tip applicator.

      Yes, in the description, it says B7000 or E6000 will also work...

      Could be bad screen. Or just disconnect reconnect all the cables. Maybe even a hard restart of the phone.

      Maybe it's not plugged in properly or the screen was damage. Try unplugging the screen and plugging it back in again. If it doesn't work, get another display

    My screen has popped up on the long sides. Question - the left side is worse, and feels under more tension when I try to press it down. Is this normal?! Just ordered tools, glue, etc., to fix it, but that left side doesn't seem to want to go down easily...

    • @RealWorldReview
      @RealWorldReview  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Means you need a new battery, don't push on that side until you get a new battery in there

    • @oldMK1
      @oldMK1 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      OK, found one (on Amazon, of course) that seems good. Now, just need a video for that! ($22 for what looks like the highest-rated one on there, 3300 mAh, guess we'll see...)

    • @RealWorldReview
      @RealWorldReview  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Seems good, I was looking for a repair video of mine, but it seems I have it, but I am not finished editing it lol, but the battery removal process is similar to my Moto Z battery replacement video, if you want to check that out once you remove the screen.
