But if they left on good terms then it might be a great thing to bring them back. Same goes for an ex. My ex and I got back together and spent nearly twenty years before we decided to live apart and we're still really good friends. Likewise, I left my job of seven years and after a few months decided I'd like to go back to work for them. I was re-hired immediately, have been promoted since I was re-hired, and I plan on staying there till I retire(ish) in another ten or fifteen years. sometimes second chances are great. But if someone was being abused then I'd never advise going back to a person or a job. Some things you don't forgive. (And I just noticed the patch is upside down so now this video makes much more sense LOL).
The problem is that in this case you don't get to make that decision alone. Several million other voters will get to make that decision as well; and they may very well decide that yes, for whatever reason, they _are_ willing to get back with the ex and they're going to drag you along with them on whatever hellish journey into the Abyss he has planned for them -- and you -- whether you like it or not.
