I’ve just recently started trying Truefitt & Hill... I had a sample pack to try, and particularly liked the Grafton, Trafalgar and Apsley samples - Both the shaving cream and the aftershave balms were great. For some reason performance wise - the Grafton cream and balm were particularly outstanding, I also loved the scents of all three - but especially the Trafalgar (think there’s a bit of Jasmine in there which is quite nice)! I’ve been using it with Tatra blades and an outlaw razor from executive shaving company, and have had seven or eight shaves in a row absolutely problem free - a real pleasure, one of the most comfy shaving experiences I’ve had since going to DE wet shaving!
Great shave Kevy. I recently purchased the Rocca in the black handle version. It was hard to come by for a long time and I think you are the first to make an English language video on it. I really like mine. It’s gives a flawless shave. I find the weight and balance to be perfect. It was worth the wait to get this razor.

I think thats one of it's best qualities; the weight and balance. I need to use it some more to dial it in and find a blade for it that's just right for my skin. I am now convinced that I need that cream, cologne, and balm. That razor is gorgeous! The level of aggression seems perfect in efficiency, and handling. Welome in 2018 Kevy and one more great shave. My den stocks DE89, R89, R41 and the new Rocca. To my experience the R89 looses to the DE89 in comfort, though they seem to be the same, which I doubt. Y might know, I'm german n took liberty to speak to factory owners n even they say slight differences btw R89 n DE89. Anyhow, after R41 2011 disaster in roughness, the 2013 R41 still being a beast, it was high time for Muehle to come up with something, the Rocca. This closes the gap btw r89 n r41 indeed and, more important is coming up on par with the likes of ATT, Rocnel et cetera, the Muehle heads still casted (not CNC), but with a superb finish. You hv a good time in 2018 and mny happy shaves, which I look frwrd to see, most of us always look for n e w products. Cheerio, Achim+

Yes, it does react on different blades, somewhat an honest razor. Comparing its price with ATT and others overseas. I bought mine with the black handle, which is perfect, but was afraid of the wooden one (wood + water...), but maybe I should hv bought the wooden one...
Achim Kohlhage 8m hoping the wooden birch handle will wear up ok to the water. I've heard they make some canoes out of birch so hopefully the handle on this razor will wear just as well. Cheers. Kevy 👍
The UK guy Ray Mears built such a canoe (interesting bushcraft video) according to old red indian guidelines... and he used it in the rugged waters of Alaska.

Hi, can you make a top 10 shaving creams video. That will be helpful for many of you viewers. I am using gillete proglide, trufitt pre shave oil, maca root based shaving cream from "the body shop", and a synthetic brush (i dont like to use animal furr). The body shop shaving cream is not that much great when compares to my previous TOBS sandalwood cream.

Good afternoon Kevy! My New Year's Eve...I went to sleep without as much as a drink due to the long drive from Florida. Yes, I need to lose some weight for the New Year. I am trying to stop buying shaving gear, as I have more than any sane person can use in a lifetime. For example, I have two 1946 Shulton Old Spice gift sets (#374)...6 oz soap cakes and 4.75 oz aftershaves. I will most likely expire before I use all of that, but wait...there is another 3 cakes of soap and 2 more aftershaves, all vintage. So I have a small addiction. Then, I see this Muhle Rocca...and think I like to give it a go to see if I would enjoy its performance. Kevy, you are enabling me! I can see the Rocca is more aggressive, but not like the R41...which would made it ideal for daily use. The Truefitt & Hill shaving cream looked amazing! Nice shave Kevy! My shave yesterday evening was the Muhle R41 loaded with a 1938 AMC Deluxe Thin Blade...modern blades are so superior...but I managed a DFS. Take care!

Hi Anthony. The Fine aftershaves are excellent. The Fresh Vetiver is based on Tom Ford's Grey Vetiver and is excellent, the Green Vetiver is a little darker smelling but is still very nice and is based on Guerlain Vetiver. My favourite Fine splash is American blend which is a barbershop scent and is based on YSL Rive Gauche Pour Homme. To be honest, there isn't a bad one in the Fine range of aftershaves, they all smell fantastic. It describes them all here - bit.ly/2CLc1Bt Cheers. Kevy :)

It doesn't feel aggressive. It's very efficient. I would say the R41 is a 9/10 in terms of aggression and blade feel. The Rocca feels about a 7.5/10 but doesn't feel nearly as aggressive as the R41. Cheers. Kevy :)

Just got a tub of Apsley. It smells 💯 percent like D. R. Harris Windsor. As much as I like the smell, I was hoping for something different.

On against the grain pass you get the razor so close to eye ....my heart gets in my throat

How would you rate the aggression of the razor? How much less then the R41?
It doesn't feel aggressive. It's very efficient. I would say the R41 is a 9/10 in terms of aggression and blade feel. The Rocca feels about a 7.5/10 but doesn't feel nearly as aggressive as the R41. Cheers. Kevy :)

Great video - At the beginning of your video's have you ever thought about creating your own guitar riff or playing your favorite riff that represents what you love? I just noticed that silence at the beginning and thought about the blues shave that you did in 2017. Is there one of your riff's that you like? Just a thought. Great looking lather - were you trying to represent Canada's snow conditions? Great show.
