I couldn't help but think of two things. First, this old guy is looking for his past, which includes family and friends he can visit, but for an unknown reason, can't stay. But while visiting, someone hands him a guitar and ... whoa ..... this ol' guy is pretty good. Surprisingly good. Really, really good. You can't tell a book by it's cover. Next, the song's title, although not the music, reminds me of one of my half-dozen favorite Springsteen songs, "Something in the Night," which is on his classic fourth album, "Darkness on Edge of Town." In that song the singer is vaguely, or explicitly, unhappy, but not sure why. Something is missing. Could be a girl, a job, a sense of community, or invisible game, anything. The singer, himself, may not know. What it is is irrelevant; it may be different for each of us. Beautiful video. The cinematography reminded me very much of Terrence Malick. And yet another great song from High Hopes. I guess I shouldn't be surprised but it's turned out to be one of the best albums he's ever made. I had been expecting some sort of grab bag album. It's far more than that however. A stunning piece of work.
It also carries a very important massage about imagination,in my opinion.Imagination is the key to understand and cope with the world around us.When the storyteller sits among the people and he shares his memories,tales he gives them an opportunity to take part in his experience which is the way we learn many things in life - e.g.being told about them and imagining them.Sadly,we often take the power of imagination for granted or we let it to be exploitted by various factors.

Beautiful video. The cinematography reminded me very much of Terrence Malick. And yet another great song from High Hopes. I guess I shouldn't be surprised but it's turned out to be one of the best albums he's ever made. I had been expecting some sort of grab bag album. It's far more than that however. A stunning piece of work.

It also carries a very important massage about imagination,in my opinion.Imagination is the key to understand and cope with the world around us.When the storyteller sits among the people and he shares his memories,tales he gives them an opportunity to take part in his experience which is the way we learn many things in life - e.g.being told about them and imagining them.Sadly,we often take the power of imagination for granted or we let it to be exploitted by various factors.
