My wife just passed last night at 7pm and I'm not able to sleep right now. It's been almost 19 years since I haven't slept next to that beautiful woman who gave me herself to me and gave me a beautiful daughter. She gave me all of herself and knew me better than I knew myself. I was able to whisper into her ear last night everything I wanted to say to her and so did our child. As we left the hospice house I knew it was going to be the last time we would see her. I know she will wait for me. I'll never forget you my beautiful wife. You only find true love once in a lifetime and we had that. I'm at a loss right now 😭

My father listened to Bruce Springsteen every.single.day, blasting his music in our home for decades. Last spring he fell into a coma, and everyday we softly played Bruce for him in the hospital. Unfortunately he passed last April, but every time I hear these songs, its eases the pain and reminds me of such fond memories of him. Thank you Bruce for bringing such joy into my father's life.

My wife and I met 51 years ago..at a band practice. She was the singer. During a break I picked up a guitar and played Felicianos version of Light My Fire. We married 10 months later. 50 years later…kids, mortgages and life she’s recently been diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic cancer. Our time together is limited. When she falls behind…I will wait for her.

765 Thumbs down, WHAT? WHY? Don't you feel this in your hearts, your souls, your bones?
Do you have some feelings in your bodies at all?
    Unbelievable to me.,
So raw, so pure, so full of love and passion how these ppl sang this song. (Bruce, Stevie, Nils, Patti and Clarence, thank you for this raw version of this song)
Chills all over my body everytime I'm listening to it and that's many many many times and many times will follow.

My wife walked up the aisle to this song. I will never forget how she looked that day or how I felt right there and then. We are married 8 yrs this month. Every time something feels wrong in our world, I put this on, it brings everything back to how it is and how it should be. Whether it's love or a chemical reaction in our brain, I never have or never will feel what I do for her. These words are amazing, it's poetry, it's soul, its rare and raw.

My late husband and I made this agreement: to wait for one another if the other fell behind. It so happened he died before me so he will wait for me. He said he would and I believe him. I can't wait to see him again. Waiting to be with him again seems like forever. I bet for him, it's the blink of an eye, and I'm glad.

In the last two or three decades, Springsteen's work sometimes feels more like prayers, hymns, or parables than mainstream rock songs. This song, Land Of Hopes And Dreams, The Rising, Atlantic City, Empty Sky, American Skin (41 Shots) -- these are deeply moving and spiritual.

I was sleeping and this song started playing on my phone. I thought I was dreaming. This was a song that my boyfriend and I used to listen to together before he died of stomachache cancer. I thought I was dreaming when this song came on. I woke up and sat on the side of the bed and wept. Later in the day I called my sister to tell about it. I went to my TH-cam history to share the song with her and it wasn’t there. I have no idea why this song played as I haven’t listened to it since he died five years ago. I can only believe he was sending me a message. Rip Sandy I will always love you.

We said we'd walk together baby come what may
That come the twilight should we lose our way
If as we're walking a hand should slip free
    I'll wait for you
    And should I fall behind
    Wait for me
We swore we'd travel darlin' side by side
We'd help each other stay in stride
But each lover's steps fall so differently
    But I'll wait for you
And if I should fall behind
    Wait for me
Now everyone dreams of love lasting and true
Oh, but you and I know what this world can do
So let's make our steps clear that the other may see
    I'll wait for you
And if I should fall behind
    Wait for me
Now there's a beautiful river in the valley ahead
There 'neath the oak's bough soon we will be wed
Should we lose each other in the shadow of the evening trees
    I'll wait for you
    Should I fall behind
    Wait for me
    Darlin' I'll wait for you
    Should I fall behind
    Wait for me
    Yeah, I'll wait for you
    Should I fall behind
    Wait for me
    I'll wait for you
    Should I fall behind
    Wait for me

It encapsulates emotion, sorrow, fragile hope, in a brief moment in time. We all lose our way and falter but take heart in the light, wherever it shines. Healing, love, and self improvement to the world.

I've watched this video a few times and when I hear Clarences voice, I always wish he had sung more often. He has such a rich, beautiful voice.
When Tim McGraw did a guest host gig on Sirius, he talked about his wife, Faith Hill covering this song. He said one day she got a note from Bruce in the mail, telling her how beautiful it was. McGraw is a huge fan and was so excited that it was a hand addressed, licked stamp and handwritten letter. He said he was more insanely happy than Faith was. He also talked about them going to a show and being taken back to meet Bruce. He wasn't in the room but when he came in, Bruce and Faith talked like old friends and McGraw just stood there and didn't say a word. He said he was so afraid he'd say something stupid or call him "The Boss". He was really funny.
In the car with my sister once, the song came on (Faiths version) and my sister said "omg, I love this song". When I realized what it was I told her Bruce had written it. She was stunned and apparently didn't appreciate Bruce or his writing capabilities much. She sputtered "you're kidding!?"
Some people never get it. Bruce is a genius. A poet, musician of many instruments, and largely self taught in many things. ❤

I just heard about this song today, I was watching CSI: NY , this episode was the memorial of the 9/11 attack. I cried all over again, for every fire fighter, every policeman every individual that was lost. It was so touching, emotional and even after all this years its sad to know that there's a little not who would never see his father again, there's a man who still has the movie tickets he bought for him and his lady, but she never came back home. I love this song even more because, it makes me understand that staying in love holds even more value. Love it!

Despite the unequivocal and electric power that the boss exhibits on stage, this artist is capable of producing the softest. In this version, you can hear different voices pouring their heart out from the powerful yet sensitive, the raucous yet emotional, soft yet sturdy, silky yet sustained, all the way to the deep velvety voice of the big man and his magical saxophone.
A very introspective and meditative piece of music (or should I say peace of music) that is suitable for any altar of love. This could be a love between a man and a woman, parent and child, siblings, friends, or between Man and God. It evokes the unity and reciprocity between two beings. One for the other, and back: I’ll wait for you/ And should I fall behind/ Wait for me. People go to church, temple, mosque or to any other holy shrine to pray, accompanied by some sort of music to help them reach a pensive state. Try this. It may help you get there faster.

Later on, my friend met Bruce and told him about his dad (who was also a huge fan). Bruce Hugged him, told him he loved him and that he was sorry for his loss. People DO care. Love without fear. Smile everyday. Say what you feel. Never regret. LIVE.
