I have the Gerber Center Drive, and Suspenion NXT multi-tools and love the Center Drive most of all. I keep it at home for normal use, and the other one in my EDC bag, and backpack for when camping out.

I've never in forty year bought a higher standard folding knife product than Victorinox.swiss army. It's like hospital equipment. What needs to be sharp starts out amazingly sharp and you don't want tiny tot's fingers trying to open it. Quickest wood saw too.

Decades ago I was a big Gerber fan....until I bought a few items from Sog, Leatherman, Cold Steel, etc.
Maybe today’s Gerber products are better than they were back then, but I’m not risking my money to find out.

I have the Suspension NXT, overall it is a nice tool but the awl was pure crap. I don't remember even using but one day I noticed the tip was bent. Cheaper steel does that and I know they had to use that in order to get it to the price mark.

Gerber multi-tools have been in my possession since back in the early 90s while in the field, etc. Later in years, I transitioned to the Leatherman Wave and have Never Looked back. The Wave is on my belt every waking moment regardless of what I am doing.

These are all middle of the road tools! Look at the leatherman surge, wave, and crunch, or the Swiss multi tools. Sog also makes tools better than these. Not saying that these tools are bad but only one of them would be a top ten let alone top five!

The #1 tool is made by the same company which makes the Swiss Army Knife and it must be really good. I have the two Gerber multi-tools which is on this list and love them. I keep one in my backpack, one in my EDC bag, and one at home. They are so good until I will be depending on them all the time. I know that Leatherman makes great products also, but I just decided to buy Gerber instead.

Gerber centerdrive is crap, seen reviews it is made in China assembled in USA so China parts. Sold to us to be assembled in USA they bend when using them, and but driver breaks super easy stick with leatherman

That 5th spot is a joke, that tool is a joke that uses plastic in the locking system and brittle worthless cutters. Oh ya and Serations that may as well be a butter knife. Oh oh it also rattles. Such over priced garbage. Jessus the suspension to wow this list is as jacked as my spelling. Lol lol I require a real tool not garbage go buy a rebar enugh said.

Wow...Gerber (which are not horrible) Leatherman (which are horrible) and a Swiss Army multitool? I’ll place my 5yr old SOG against any of these and blow them out of the water! Cutters are way better (try cutting through heavy gage wire or a penny if you don’t have wire), easy replacement of parts and hold an edge longer! Slightly more $ but pay the best to get the best, NoI don’t work for them....I’ve just bought all these brands and tossed them!

Hahahaha so sad to see such ignorant people. gerber uses the most shit steel i have seen before, and victorinox swiss army knives are some of the handiest pocket tools. Now leatherman makes the best and sturdiest multitools in the world, plus they have a great warranty that ive tried before
