GoT has deaths alright, but in the book, they are mostly justified by a mistake a character commited. To the low, puny mistakes are enough. I know the Forresters are a minor house, but they're a noble house nonetheless, this death was kinda random. [Lil SPOILER END] I mean, I know Ramsay is sadistic, but that's just bullshit diplomacy. i know lol even on my alternative playthrough i did everything to not get me killed i.e. bending the knee and replying non hostile but he still kills you... only difference is he says you are a wise lord instead of bold.
JM S. Consider this: the Forresters are just lumberjacks at the eyes of the Great House of the Boltons, even more so in the eyes of Ramsay. He just wanted to deal with them the quickest way possible. Leave them with no "bold" or "brave" head and they'll have to obey at all costs. If the Forresters were a family of higher position, maybe Ethan would still be alive, but they have almost no power nor men.

The game is about the struggles of House forrester. Ethans death is what will propel that. If we think House Whitehill will just get away with that, you're wrong.

Second, Ramsay in this episode is still as crazy and violent as the show, but he actually shows some much better judgment than the show. Considering people's arguments and aiming for greatest overall interest of his house while rewarding his followers, I don't know about the books but this guy seems way more clever than when I watched the show.

Imagine if it was possible to save Ethan from death, the storie would changed entirely. And even if you could, they will probably make an excuse to kill him just to continue with the history, so there's no point in that, I think the greatest thing about Telltale games its the storie, and the way you can choose what your carachter has to say and the consequeces of it. There's a storie already set up, so you can change the way you get to the final of the game, not the ending.

how do people not understand the concept of these games... YOU tell the tale. You don't rewrite the story. Here's a story with plot A, Climax B, and Ending C. The dialogues inbetween are determined by you. In other words the pivotal events happen no matter what, but what leads up to those moments is determined by you. Tales from the Borderlands does this beautifully. The point is not to change what happens in the game, but feel apart of the story throughout. Now sure The Walking Dead you could choose who died/who lived, but this didn't change the overall story arc either.
I see almost no difference at all. It's more like it's just giving you things to say to keep you busy while the story is going on. Now if you could transform into an archangel and fuck up the entire army at the end somehow, then I'd care for the diverse story branching.

Remember, Ramsay Snow is fracking nuts, his father even acknowledges it and calls him out for being so unnecessarily cruel and foolish that it makes the Boltons seizing the North much harder than it needs to be. Unfortunately for Roose Bolton he has already let that mad dog off the chain.
I like the storytelling in the Telltale games, really well-written stuff. But having played a few of them at this point Im kinda disappointed by how little your choices actually influence the progress, cause that was always kinda part of the suspense factor, the thought of there being more than one outcome and the challenge of getting the best one, now thats more or less gone sadly. I mean, it doesnt really take away the fact that its still as great storytelling and well-written as I said, AND its still kinda cool to be able to interact at all. But MAN is it annoying that mostly what little you're actually able to affect really doesnt matter beyond maybe choosing between smart or stupid dialogue. I mean theres so much potential here if they'd just really take their time, the talent for writing intriguing top notch quality stuff is obviously there, we just need the effort to make it a proper GAMING experience as well. Would be SO FREAKIN cool if they'd make a game where you can truly explore the concept of cause and effect to its fullest. Oh and I understand that'd make the statistics at the end a bit problematic so yeah you might as well scratch that shit, totally not interesting either way.

I saved ethan by ramsy by not protecting Talia. The game was then going fully wrong. And Arthur was also saved by showing mercy to gruff.
