in the context of the book series, the wall is imbued with a lot of magic/enchantments which is essentially what is keeping the white walkers/wights from climbing over it and dragonfire is also of a magical nature in some sense which is what allows the night king to destroy the wall. but yeah season 8 is some bullshit
How was the impact any different? It would seem pretty sudden tbh, the way they did it caused a great deal of dread as we knew something huge was gonna happen now that he had a Wight dragon, we were in suspense waiting for when that was gonna happen.
people would have asked questions about how they got the dragon out of the water...no one would ever guess theyd use a big fucking chain from home depot
It would have been logical to assume that he could do that, but I think it would have just been confusing. Its not a little insignificant thing that you don't want to show to the audience. It might have been a surprise to the viewer, but in the lack of exposition it might have made it a bad plot twist.
Simon Moe I had this weird theory about the dead Starks as would-be wights since long.... That would be awful for the North to kill their already dead family again.
Anshuman Prasad In the books (a clash of kings if im not mistaken), Jon had a dream once that he was in the crypts of Winterfell and saw all the kings and lords of the north rising from their graves.
@Tim Evans if nobody will believe.Thats the only way.Sometimes you have to make sacrifices.I love the NK i hope he kills them all.Its time for a big winter.
well, considering that any wildlings or thenns who did not join Jon are dead/turned, im sure there might be a few, very very very small pockets or single freefolk, then all the freefolk killed at Battle of Basterds, and the coming war i'd say the wall is useless now.
@@kevin6293 lol how would a large reptile be physically capable of expelling rocket laser flame blasts from their mouths? No need to spend too much time debating the plausibility of what happens in some fictional fairy tale universe
I got it. It's all fucking Hotpie. If he didn't tell Arya about Winterfell, she would kill Cersei. If Cercei was dead, they wouldn't lose the dragon, the wall would be standing, whole Westetos would be united against the nk.
Hotpie runs the biggest spy network and he charms people with his pies. He is the ultimate villain. But don't worry the Night King is here to stop him.
A part of me wished the white walkers never killed Viserion, but the night king awakened something far greater that all three of Dany’s dragons were needed to take down. Also I really wanted to see more in the terms of variety in the white walkers army besides zombies and skeletons. Imagine seeing white walkers atop Ice Spiders (a nod to season 1 with old gran and bran) undead animals like mammoths, wolves and bears. Or even completely new creatures that dwelled in the lands of always winter. But hey season 8 doesn’t exist so who knows what we would’ve happened with a better writing staff at the helm
yep, just re-watching this now, I'm thinking the same. It's actually a little cheap when the Night King (a) has a dragon delivered to him that he kills and turns, and (b) convenient that a few minutes of this 'dragon fire' is enough to destroy the wall. Very convenient indeed. B/c Viserion has kinda become an 'ice' dragon soooo....wouldn't his breath be *cold* now? Frankly, the show runners at this point had no more material to adapt, so they just went for contrived plot devices that allowed them to put 'cool shit' on the screen. Comments on this youtube vid are that Season 8 'doesn't exist'....and I get that. But reality is in Season 7 and maybe even 6, we were already getting bullshit that was going to lead us to Season 8. Back to this scene, what would've been *much* more interesting is seeing how the Night King planned to get past the wall without Viserion. Hey! Crazy idea for what he could've had up his own sleeve....a massive undead *land* dragon. Certain mythologies have land dragons - old English legends, Tolkien based his earliest dragons on them...no wings but still a dragon. Also known as a "wyrm" (though winged 'wyrms' may also have existed in other tales, ie. that word is sometimes interchangeable with dragon). Now, imagine the Night King has one so long, so large, that it's able to reach the top of the Wall while it still has it's tail on the ground, and the White Walkers climb up it, the ridges on its back protecting them from arrows, until they reach the ramparts and start fighting with the Night's Watch, winning fairly quickly, then opening the gates for the Wights and Ice Spiders (!) to come through. AND/OR....ice spiders would be able to climb the wall right? That could've been another way for the Night King to take control of the wall.
They show a undead bear and horses. I think undead dogs and wolfs are much common in many series and movies só they don't make then. The spiders should be amazing.
@@dewulfe9913 “Viserion has kinda become an 'ice' dragon soooo....wouldn't his breath be cold now?” first thing that popped in my head. Undead dragon should be adding ice to the wall, not destroying it. Freezing breath could ofc be somewhat dangerous to a Watcher, but then that would open up creative possibilities. As we all know now, the show writers were “rewrites”, not creators.
@@brmbkl yeah that's a great point about what the breath could do...with enough time it could create bridges, platforms, help the undead climb or get across something...but no, no logic or creativity allowed in D&D 'written' episodes. Just make 'stuff happen' so they can put silly set pieces, fights on screen 🙄
I literally thought each episode of season 8 would be the walkers making it further and further south. First episode winterfell falls, the survivors going south to the neck or riverrun. They lose that so they retreat to the vale. They lose that so they move down to the stormlands or wherever and then finally the last defense at kings landing. Millions dead all over Westeros.
Yep this should have been the whole of season 8 and then another 1-2 seasons with those who are left dealing with dany vs cersei and also jons heritage explored alot more.. I could imagine the white walkers making it to kings landing, ice freezing over the iron throne with cersei watching in fear. All the citizens trying to flee to the bay to get away on ships while just being swarmed by the dead through the streets. Jon and the night king having a true fight and stand off with Jon being the one to defeat him, being the reason he was brought back to life. Although defeating the night king doesn't just make all the white walkers explode, they keep fighting but eventually all get killed in battle. And also undead wolves, bears, mammoths ect all charging into battle. Imagine a pack of undead wolves sprinting full speed towards someone..
This is actually probably supposed to be what happened. Just think about _every_ location you have seen in the show. And I mean _every_ location. Winterfell should've been the first stand, killed a lot of characters and introduced the threat that the army of the dead would be. Then you have the Twins, a giant bridge crossing a massive impassable river, a bridge practically BEGGING to be a subplot about collapsing it to stop the nightkings army from crossing. Moat Cailin on a hill in the middle of a swamp could have demonstrated that even a swamp wouldn't stop the dead as people defending it are swarm as they trudge through the mud. You have the Eyrie, she's impregnable to all but Bron's good men and climbing spikes on a huge pillar of rock, it's practically BEGGING for a scene about it being impregnated by the army of the dead, with a roof top escape on the back of dragons and the dead climb the floors below. Harrenhall was an old castle melted by dragon fire, considered to be the pinnacle of medieval defense (minus dragon fire), but also a symbol of arrogance by the house that built it. We could have had a plot demonstrating the fortress was built with the army of the dead in mind, with some main characters having a last stand there, delaying the dead as refugees flee south. Casterly Rock, supposedly the strongest fortress ever built, would quickly fall as it was a modern fortress built for modern armies, demonstrating how and why the older castles were built and the folly of House Lannister. In fact the further south you go, the less each castle or location would suit a fight with the dead, which makes sense given they were never under threat previously. Kingslanding would obviously be where the finale is, where all forces come together (even Cersei) and fight the night king to save the million people that reside in the capital. Evidentally the city was destined to be destroyed, so instead of having a dragon burn it (and magically repair the next episode), we would have a scene not unlike the wildling army attack. The army of the dead would breach the walls after a big fight, main characters and armies flee inwards toward the red keep, with some going to the docks instead where they are swarmed by the dead and killed, then as the defenders of the red keep wait for the battle the city outside falls silent as everyone is consumed. Then of course the final battle is inside the keep, with dragons then burning the city down in defense instead of whatever season 8 was. Maybe they could use wildfire on it again, as a nice call back, which would actually create a nice irony with the Mad King's intentions to burn the city down If you look at a map of Westeros you can practically see the path that the army of the dead is supposed to take, visiting locations along the way that were established in the early seasons and book. Instead the grand army of the dead is stopped at their first battle, none of the main characters died and somehow there were 3 episodes left, which basically implied some drunk cunt on the Iron throne was the ultimate antagonist of the series, not the Night King.
If/when Martin finishes his books your layout of how the war is going to go is pretty solid. Also, unlike the show the books give the undead GIANT UNDEAD SPIDERS & dozens if not hundreds of undead giants (not just the one) and animals like the snow bear and mammoths. Altogether the book battles with the wights could very well be as epic as the War of the Ring from Tolkiens books.
Haha, I remember watching this thinking, "oh my god, Westeros is so fucked! How many characters are going to die? What will be the answer to the intrigue and mystery behind the White Walkers? What complex and thematically appropriate way will this threat be dealt with to wrap up the story?" What a crock of shit all this ended up being...
when I found this show I couldn’t believe how good it was I had never been hooked to a show in my life and this one got me, the last seasons killed the show for me i lost all interest season 1-4 are legendary tho the storytelling

@@officialthomasjames Prior to season 8 I rewatched the entire series probably like 10 times - It was literally the thing I loved the most (for entertainment purposes) Thanks to season 8 though, I literally can't face watching any of it again What is the point when we know how truly appalling the final season is
13243546adsf Exactly like the white walkers' scream. I believe Viserion is not a wight but the Night King actually turned him into some kind of white walker
That brief grin on tormund's face when he heard the roar of a Dragon thinking it was Dany coming to save them again only for it to be none other than the zombified Viserion is low-key the peak of this whole clip😅
As I mentioned somewhere else, I was never sure how that would work, from the beginning. So far, the only creatures that the Night King could recruit in his army were beings corrupted or reanimated by his sorcery, like all the different wights, Craster's baby turned into White Walkers, and Viserion possibly becoming an undead ice dragon. Given what was established for now, the only way the White Walkers can have ice spiders is if there already exists some kind of giant arachnid living beyond the Wall, which seems unlikely, unless those giant spiders were also magical entities like the dragons (or the giant demonic spiders in Tolkien's mythos). If the giant spiders are just regular biological creatures like the "manticores," Direwolves, and giants, then it would be physically impossible for them to exist (unless Westeros' atmosphere is more oxygen-rich like Carboniferous Earth hundreds of millions of years ago), let alone ideally thrive in the frozen North of all places. At the same time, it does not exclude the possibility that it could be a different monster mistaken for "ice spiders as big as hounds," such as another unidentified northern wild animal or an amalgamation of wight corpses, broken down and recombined into one entity that looks spider-like.
I think the spiders are a reference to those in Tolken 's stories, rather than actual creatures. It could also be Old Nan just freaking Bran out for shits and giggles.
Actually, I think George R.R Martin was only joking about that part. If you remember when the wights attacked the hiding spot of Bran Stark and The Children, The wights were crawling like "ice spiders". And so because of fear, maybe they thought it was ice spiders big as hounds. They were just configured because the people who thought the wights crawling around walls and ceilings were 'ice spiders'. Anyways that's my opinion.
El Presidente dead dragon got mod. Drop massive kilo. All those fluid are now gone. 0-60 3s not 4s anymore 😀. Heck, Night King is probably lighter than Dany too. Zero fluid.
You can throw all shame to the writing of S7 and S8, but you cannot deny that the CGI, the cinematics, the costumes, the music and acting was absolutely amazing
Do you blame the writing for the mass stupidity of the end of the season 7 and nearly all of season 8? Episode 3 all the dothraki Die but later here they are again. The battle strategy for most of season 7 and all of 8 was like two idiots planned how to lose and the worst one lost. As well with the wall, here is a big hint: the children of the night were supposed to have put magic in the land supporting the wall to kill undead crossing it.
"But won't this kind of disappoint the fans who were waiting for the Jon Snow Night King fight build up?" "Yea see... I kind of just forgot about that." "Oh Whoops!" "Whoopsie!"
He didn't need backstory or motivation, he was better as the personification of the season of winter. No, trying to explain his motives would have made season 8 worse than it already was.
It might be an unpopular opinion. But as much as amazing this scene is to watch, it also represent a big problem for the story. The wall is the only real advantage the humans have against the White Walkers, especially if there was some kind of magic proctecting it, like for example the base of the children of the forest. It would have made a challenge for the Night King and a fair battle for the livings. After the Wall is destroyed like that, the army of the dead simply became too op, and realistically undefeatable unless some kind of plot like we saw in season 8
@@w4lshy425 yeah i know but i guess not. Wall or not the magic barrier should still be there in my opinion. If not why not just freeze the ocean and walk around the wall or just take down the gates and wall under. At this point of the story the armies are to far to prevent an attack like this.
In the books it seems like Euron Greyjoy will be the one to takeover a dragon (steal via the horn), and possibly also destroy the wall Also iirc the magic barrier is limited to a specific tunnel, not the wall in general The whole night king dragon rider thing was the result of stupid plot changes, like that stupid expedition north to capture a single wight, which didn't even matter due to cersei not helping
@@w4lshy425 there was magic keeping the 3 Eyed Raven in that cave too but it got out just fine in Bran. Then it crossed the wall too and the White Walkers followed. There's a lot more to the story I suspect and hopefully one day it'll finish being told via the books.
Man, the Wall is ice and magical. There is only one creature in the ASOIAF Universe that is based on ice magic. Who do you think actually built and is the rightful owner (so to speak) of the Wall? Old Nan was right, all crows are liars.
The sound design on zombie Viserion really caught me off guard. 3:28 sounds tortured and hyper-aggressive at the same time, it's a haunting roar. Great work by the sound team.
It sounds as if Viserion is actually being tortured by breathing that much fire at once. I believe there is more than one reason why Jon showed us that fire can hurt and kill them. Viserion can breath fire non-stop, meaning that the temperature is going to get hotter since he doesn't have to catch his breath. That itself is going to sting quite a bit for undead Viserion. It also explains the blue fire. If you know your very basic science, blue fame is hotter than orange.
Yeah I thought the exact same thing at 2:22 and it actually made me feel uncomfortable. I've no idea if this was their intention or not but it sure got me!

When you realize that the wall of the north was so overpowered it beat the combined armies of all wildlings and giants with the help of very few night's watch and even defended against all forces for thousands of year to come... Then you realize Dragons were so overpowered that one single dragon took down this wall when that very wall had not just night's watch but wildlings and giants now on the walls side... Then you realize the Night King is so overpowered that he one shot that very same Dragon that took down a legendary wall manned by an unprecedented alliance to two legendary forces... And finally you realize that which beats every force listed above even greater than the Wall of the North, the Night's Watch, Giants, Dragons, Wildling Armies, The Long Night, The Winter That Has Come and even the great Night King himself.... is a flying screaming faceless assassin girl who stopped being faceless or stealthy to just kinda win over all these forces with a frontal attack! Viserion is a wight not an ice dragon or a white walker . Wights are reanimated corpses that eventually decay and decompose & while we even saw this on viserion's wings that were tattered and were seen to be decomposed at some extent.

If I remember correctly, the very first thing we saw on the show was men of the night's watch being murdered by a white walker, so we've known all along what was coming but yeah, I get your point.
The whole point of the ASOIAF series is to showa world where magic is almost completely extinct (dragons are all dead etc...), and slowly it is reintroduced over time. First through the birth of the dragons, then the arrival of the white walkers, the lord of light, etc...

@@darknemessis6880 Great retort, but seriously it would be boring. The night king doesn't talk. His motivation is completely unrelatable. All the fighting would be happening at night. You don't know much about narrative.
Let's not forget it now: Had the "heroes" never gone to retrieve a zombie to show Cersei, they wouldn't have run into the army of the dead, necessitating Dany come bail them out, and thus giving the Night King a dragon, which he needed to break through the wall. Cersei then doesn't help anyway, thus rendering all of the above pointless. They basically bumbled their way into making the invasion happen.
There are no opinions. Everybody is happy about Jon being the heir and banging his aunt and about LF dying and sad that the walkers are through. It's not like in old season where you would see debates about characters and people picking sides it's pure fanfiction now.
I just want to see a scene where one of the living dragons and the un-dead dragon both fire a blast at each other at the same time and we get that epic kind of dragon ball z effect (pun intended) where we see both blasts meet in the middle and we get a orange fire vs blue fire head to head clash to see who's blast is stronger!!!!

Correct and they might have been inspired by Activision Blizzard on that scene for David Weiss and David benioff since they might have former employees that used to work for that company during Call of Duty World at War and World of Warcraft Wrath of the Lich King expansion both were for 2008 fiscal year in Activision Blizzard Stock Exchange. If you put a dragon from World of Warcraft against this wall some of them do have unique dragonbreath abilities for example Green Dragon acid breath this would have effect on the troops on the wall since they would have been cooked on the inside if wearing armor examples would be Sam Tarly Ser Jorrah Mormont Gendry & Jon Snow.
So if Jon didn't try to stop the white walkers they would've just stood gazing the wall from outside. Instead Jon went and gave the night king a free pass in the form of a dragon which apparently has gained supersonic speed after it died.
Toruk Makto white walkers are dead which means they don't breathe so they can move forever and they would be able to cross when the sea freezes but it would take longer
Actually if they didn't have the Dragon they would have gone west instead of East. The Western part of the wall doesn't go all the way to the sea. There's some space where they can go around. But since they have a dragon they decided to go from the East because they knew that would be the weak point since nobody would expect it.

it will be interesting now to watch GOT Season 8 opening credit with portion of the wall destroyed
Never thought about that. Nice.
Neither have I, holy shit.
I was thinking the same
Your scam bot is so bad that it lists GOT as a movie. smh, I wish shit like this would stop.
I think it would generally be awesome to indicate in the opening that Winter has come. For example, a more snowy map or something like that.
S7 was shit aswell. The Winds Of Winter set everything up perfectly and Dumb & Dumber rushed it because they wanted to end it
They show a undead bear and horses.

@@MrCreamcracker15 yes u are right just six seasons were Masterpiece
I literally thought each episode of season 8 would be the walkers making it further and further south. First episode winterfell falls, the survivors going south to the neck or riverrun. They lose that so they retreat to the vale. They lose that so they move down to the stormlands or wherever and then finally the last defense at kings landing. Millions dead all over Westeros.
thats what we wanted. But instead we got shit. I still think the directors should be hanged
Maybe they could use wildfire on it again, as a nice call back, which would actually create a nice irony with the Mad King's intentions to burn the city down
If you look at a map of Westeros you can practically see the path that the army of the dead is supposed to take, visiting locations along the way that were established in the early seasons and book.

*gets slapped*
😂😂😂😂
We've seen undead dragons, giants, horses, bears....my question is: Where are the giant ice spiders, big as hounds?
I think they probably cut those in favor of having undead giants shown instead
MrTheviper201. Next season.

You can throw all shame to the writing of S7 and S8, but you cannot deny that the CGI, the cinematics, the costumes, the music and acting was absolutely amazing
Honestly the writing for S7 wasn't even bad, compared to the earlier seasons yes but it was tolerable
7 was flawed but still on track. 8 threw everything with the Others out the window like Bran.
So was the rest of the series..
Season 7 was great, it was season 8 that made no sense. Although it did have some good moments.

After rewatching I’m not sure how they could even get past the wall, didn’t Benjen say there was magic preventing them from crossing?
@@w4lshy425 yeah i know but i guess not. Wall or not the magic barrier should still be there in my opinion. If not why not just freeze the ocean and walk around the wall or just take down the gates and wall under. At this point of the story the armies are to far to prevent an attack like this.
In the books it seems like Euron Greyjoy will be the one to takeover a dragon (steal via the horn), and possibly also destroy the wall
Also iirc the magic barrier is limited to a specific tunnel, not the wall in general
The whole night king dragon rider thing was the result of stupid plot changes, like that stupid expedition north to capture a single wight, which didn't even matter due to cersei not helping
@@w4lshy425 there was magic keeping the 3 Eyed Raven in that cave too but it got out just fine in Bran. Then it crossed the wall too and the White Walkers followed. There's a lot more to the story I suspect and hopefully one day it'll finish being told via the books.

4 years later & we are still waiting for season 8, sad how HBO left us with this cliffhanger
when viserion flew by the first time i was shook how fast it was!!! RIP Drogon and Rhaegal
Shouldn't be hard for the other dragons to burn Viserion.
RagnaGamez is it why they take forever to march
Hunter No, you wrong. Viserion kill Rhaegal and Drogo kill Viserion.
AXIGON wights*
Hunter F22 Viserion
the first scene when the dragon flew past i was like wooooooooooooooooooooo damn that boy fast. might of just got a cut just looking at him and didnt even notice it
I thought of Toothless/Nightfury, especially with the fog and all those dashes through it, top it off with his blue flames.
Darth Snow omfg I literally thought of toothless too lmao XD
budget
shawn is not budge, they show it without any problem in others scenes, its because that dragon is raise by the nightking, its like a hacked dragon lol
pia wulfson did you see when they first arrived to dragon stone
if they wanna go fast they will
buuut unlike wight dragon they have limited stamina
Night King: No seriously, what Podrick did in that brothel?
he's destroying the wall and marching south to find out.
Pranjal Rastogi Podrick "the magic cock" Payne, the first of his name, king of the kamasutra and the first beds, lord of the seven brothels and protector of the whores.
Pranjal Rastogi He just talked to them. They were Littlefinger's employees, and Littlefinger looked for any excuse to sell his employees to sex murderers. Even if you had the time of your life, you collect your pay so you don't get crossbowed. If they didn't collect, they did nothing they could collect on.
Pranjal Rastogi Why don't ya ask Bran, my greenseeing twin?
Vini Bhatt actually, I rather cutting dicks off than eating them, you know me
Season 7 already started showing some of the cracks that were inevitably going to infuriate everyone in season 8, but that said this was one of the best scenes in all of GOT!
Khal drogo, ygritte, daario and jorah disliked today's episode
Add Melisandre in there too for Jon. Why not? Lol
Ashmit Dassi what about Tyrion?
Winter is cumming

too bad half of them are dead lmao
I don't know why but Beric Dondarrion's voice is relaxing
The Morgan Freeman of fantasy
Zikos He should read for SoIaF audio book
Dimitri Rodriguez Lol. So fucking true. Beric is like *The Morgan Freeman of Game of Thrones*
He has a fantastic voice... "we'll meet again Clegane" sounds like poetry.
"I fucking hope not"- Clegane
1:36 holy shit did the Night King resurrect a dragon or a fucking F-22 Raptor
nigga im ded
Viserion is a wight not an ice dragon or a white walker . Wights are reanimated corpses that eventually decay and decompose & while we even saw this on viserion's wings that were tattered and were seen to be decomposed at some extent.
the way he screamed is the stuff fkn nightmares are made of
rohan sawant wait so he keeps decomposing anyway? How is he supposed to fly when he has no wings?
rohan sawant I have to hope his wings continue to deteriorate swiftly!
8,000 years of work torn down just like that.
Goshhhhh I really wanted a scene where Bran comes off his trip and simply says:
"THE WALL... HAS FALLEN".
That would have been quite the cliffhanger.
Amar La Mar I was waiting for him to do this, maybe saying "The dead arrived"
Man I was so waiting for that to happen, suddenly wakes up from a vision and we finally see the pure terror on his face when he says "they are here."
Man, that would have been epic. Especially if they didn't show this scene at all and instead show it at the start of next season.
Episode 8X01 scene one. Watch for it.
A cliffhanger ey.
It's funny that Euron asked if they can swim, but he didn't ask if they can fly 😃
Evgeny Zak Oh dang, so even if was returning to his island he'd still die xD
it likely the night king can freeze water to cross or maybe the dragon now to let the horde go over but that just a theory
And if it wasn't about the dragons he still could've frozen the ocean!
He lied when he said he was going back to Pyke; Cersei conspired with him to bring back the Golden Company from Essos using his fleet. Anyhow he will find out one way or another.
Evgeny Zak There's no real reason they couldn't just Pirates of the Carribeans it and walk to the Iron Islands anyway.
Show S1: Starts as realistic drama set in medieval society, with sex, war, and complex politics.
Show S7: Magical ice monsters take down giant wall made of ice with a reanimated ice dragon to lead army of undead past.
And it’s the most epic pay off in a show ever!
If I remember correctly, the very first thing we saw on the show was men of the night's watch being murdered by a white walker, so we've known all along what was coming but yeah, I get your point.
The show litterarly starts with introducing the white walkers though lmao
Nick Springs Watch the first scene s01e01again you rube.
The whole point of the ASOIAF series is to showa world where magic is almost completely extinct (dragons are all dead etc...), and slowly it is reintroduced over time. First through the birth of the dragons, then the arrival of the white walkers, the lord of light, etc...
@@S0vereignty White walkers were introduced first in books as well. Royce and his men died in attack of White Walkers after ten or so dead wildlings vanished. Dany was still with alive Drogo and unborn baby half way through the GoT.
Season 8 of GOT is the greatest let down in the history of fiction.
Jeezz ! Look at how fast viserion is!!!!
Izumo he is not alive
He doesn't need to breathe or sth
Man! Night King is a Jet fighter pilot now :))
He's a fucking jet plane
Izumo Ikr scared the fuck out of me how fast he was when he first appeared.
I want to see Drogon and Raegal fully fucking armoured next season, no way they're beating NK and Viserion without some form of immunity. Valerian Steel dragon armour please D&D?
Thousands of years all perished in a minute.... lol
Thanks to the briliante idea of Tyrion...
Maycon Maifrede he was just trying to help...
Thanks to hotpie. Had he not said that Jon is in Winterfell then Arya would have assassinated Cersei and there would be no need for that foolish mission (really, they could have one wight grabbed by a dragon).
manar yasmati that felt like World Trade Center all over.
Daniel Meléndez you killed me with that line lmao
So glad they brought the legendary Blue Eyes White Dragon into game of thrones
Patrick Mendoza I had the same thought about the blue eyes white dragon
Patrick Mendoza more like sindragosa
seto Kaiba just got a boner from this episode
Notice how late the horn blasts were. There were so many it was impossible not to see them and made it nearly pointless to give a warning.
They warned the brothers in the base of the wall, so they can go up help in the fight.
@@alancristhian7532 at their current military strength fighting at all would’ve been pointless with over 290 miles of the wall being indefensible.
Dragon fire can't melt ice walls! The long winter was an inside job!
We never saw stannis dead body!
Infinity Remix agreed on all points.
it's not fire.
Make the Army of the dead great again
I see what you did there....
The Army of the Dead scenario should've taken up an entire season for all it was hyped up to be.
The entire final season, actually - y’know, like most people expected it to.
That would have been incredibly boring.
@@alphanerd7221 Only if you have boring tastes or no tastes at all
Shoulda been an avengers-thanos type battle
@@darknemessis6880 Great retort, but seriously it would be boring. The night king doesn't talk. His motivation is completely unrelatable. All the fighting would be happening at night.
You don't know much about narrative.
2:55 The Wights watching "Winter Is Coming" in pure 3D at the Night's King Cinema.
knight's king? i thought he was the night king...fucking knight has his own king whoever that knight is
Sometimes when you type an awesome comment, you just type too fast.
They basically bumbled their way into making the invasion happen.
im not the only person who came here to read opinions
Rene 16 The Wall's destruction is an inside job
Raymond Narvaez there is no way fire could bring down wall 7. It was controlled demolition.
There are no opinions. Everybody is happy about Jon being the heir and banging his aunt and about LF dying and sad that the walkers are through. It's not like in old season where you would see debates about characters and people picking sides it's pure fanfiction now.
no i'm here to read complains and baby rage not opinions ...
+Robert I Baratheon
I actually wished that Jon wouldn't bang Daenerys.
Game of Thrones: Wrath of the Lich King
Yup! TOOOOOO Many similarities now. Sadly however, this is the closest thing we will probably ever get to a real Lich King story line on TV... lol
Just think about the way Viserion was brought back, exactly the same way Arthas reanimated Sindragosa
the Iron Throne will be his Frozen Throne :D
the undead is a common fantasy theme. majority of warcraft's universe is influenced by dungeons and dragons.
XENOZEX wotlk was absolutely awesome, wow has never been the same after it. I'm glad got is borrowing some ideas from it.
red and yellow: normal fire
green: wildfire
blue: undead dragon OP
A wildfire dragon would be something else... :O
It's said in the books that dragon fire is more powerful than wildfire, see in s07e04 how the victims of drogon turn to ashes in seconds
@@Ignisan_66 wildfire is more like napalm explosion, wildfire itself, like when stannis s army burnt in the 2nd season
I remember watching this for the first time when it aired and my jaw was to the floor. I was so shocked and knew everything from this moment on was all going to be downhill from there.
it was The Night King's first appearance for me ,stuck with it but that nagging "these guys are have been riding on the back of RR martin and with out him they are c grade" i was wrong about the c grade ,i had always been overly optimistic .
After all this, they kill the Night King within 3 episodes AND makes Cersei the endgame Boss. Seriously?
And she wasn't even an endgame boss, she sat in a window and smirked and then died to a brick and then Dany became the Boss and she died the next episode to a dagger. Such nonsense. Such bullshit.
Exactly what i've been saying. Imagine if lord of the rings crew defeated sauron in the second episode and then faught saruman after 😂😂 where is the logic
@@doomslayer7201 imagine if pippin killed sauron with a stab
You're comparing a story where Sauron lasted 9 hours, The Night king lasted 73 or so episodes... Nothing really to complain about there is there...
@@pur3xmagiic Do you really compare hours when it comes to good storytelling? That makes very little sense om so many levels I don't even know where to begin.
still can`t believe THIS turned into season 8 ep. 3.. shame!

Game of Thrones Wrath of the Lich King
I know right. All the way down to the camera angle.
Funny because WAW has a quest named “A Song of Frost and Flame” ...
Eyoskar not same. its very very different
Eyoskar... For Arthas Menethil.. . The king of kings.. FOR THE LICH KING AND THE SCOURGE... HIYA.. RIDE OR DIE..
What an ending to a great show. If only there was a season 8 to wrap everything up 😉

So if Jon didn't try to stop the white walkers they would've just stood gazing the wall from outside. Instead Jon went and gave the night king a free pass in the form of a dragon which apparently has gained supersonic speed after it died.
Toruk Makto white walkers are dead which means they don't breathe so they can move forever and they would be able to cross when the sea freezes but it would take longer
yeah because the giants had such a big trouble knocking down the gate before
Actually if they didn't have the Dragon they would have gone west instead of East. The Western part of the wall doesn't go all the way to the sea. There's some space where they can go around. But since they have a dragon they decided to go from the East because they knew that would be the weak point since nobody would expect it.
And don't forget that now it breathes blue fire that doesn't melt, but destroys like 50 meters or more of rock solid ice
@Neon Green Well I always expected Castle Black to be the place where they would attack
Man that was so cool. So sad the final battle against the undead was so bad -.-
So if they didn't go behind the wall to catch a wight, the wall would still be standing!
Technically all Tyrion's ideas were shit in this season!
well, he is an alcoholic. so it was only a matter of time before his brain shrunk ))
alex smith lol good point
Im sure NK had another plan to pass the wall but a dragon made it easier
Marquix it would make more sense otherwise
Ya, did not see 1 good idea of Tyrion, this season. And now looks like the bigest problem westeros has now its becouse of 1 stupid idea of the man was meant to be the smatest of westeros.
I wish season 8 was airing next sunday instead of next year... 😭😭
