    Thanks for the video!! The spacebar on my GMMK pro was driving me nuts. I'm a complete noob when it comes to keyboards but this video was so simple and easy to follow. It made a huge difference for me so thank you :). Also I was surprised to see my board didn't have any stock pads under any of the stabilizers... I wonder if that's normal or was mine just an anomaly? haha

    0:08 mate, that's not a fair comparison. You're mashing the stock stabilisers and then lightly pressing the modded stabilisers.

  • @tfbdam9381
    @tfbdam9381 2 ปีที่แล้ว +18

    At the start you just press the spacebar hard and soft and that the difference

    • @michaelbankart916
      @michaelbankart916 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      That makes basically no difference whatsoever. The difference in sound comes from the mods he did, mainly the lubing. If you have cheap stabs unlubed, it doesn't matter how hard you press them they will sound terrible. (I'd still recommend durock stabs over any others though)

    • @scufed
      @scufed 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yeah but any mistakes he made on his stand would be more covered up by the light tapping. I heard quite a bit ò ticking in the àter stabs

  • @GruelingFive8
    @GruelingFive8 2 ปีที่แล้ว +11

    I'll be using this tutorial I think. I'll see how good I can get the stock stabs before resorting to durock. Yours looked and sounded good so I have hope! :)

    • @LostSheepWorks
      @LostSheepWorks  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Good luck with it! Though I prefer the durock stabs too, but it's always fun to experiment and tune stock stabs to make them sound good.

    • @knox3309

      You should have just got next time x75 or feker ik75. And use there stock stabs on the keyboard. Also if you didn’t want to spend so much money on stabs you could have at least gotten the everglide gold stabs because they are way cheaper

    At first i didnt want to get that deep into modding my gmmk
    But after my space got stuck nearly EVERY TIME i pressed it, i had to mod it.
    I found that the Metal wire isnt really tight in the Stabs. Left side sounded fine for me, but on the right side it rattled because the wire had some room and liftet itself unlike on the left side where it did not move when pressing space bar
    nice video :)

    • @GenuineRage

      This could be solved by just holee modding, but sometimes this is because the wire of the stabilizer isn't balanced, so one side is twisted further down than the other and the side like that has wiggle room. if you take your wire and put it on a flat level surface like a phone screen or something similar you can feel the balance of the wire, and it's just twisting the wire into place at that point. if you holee mod and you still have some slight ticking, this would be the next thing i would try if it bothers you.

    • @TheHanutaXD
      @TheHanutaXD 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@GenuineRage ah yes i had a holee mod and tried wire balancing but I am sure i did that wrong, never really felt super flat.
      But neither did the durcks.
      For my next one i will try to wire balance and to a better job :D
