How To Start Land Rover Defender With Dead Remote Key Fob Battery Not Starting 2020 - 2024

A video tutorial on how to start a 2020 - 2024 Land Rover Defender with a remote key fob that has a dead battery or is showing the error message: Place Smart Key As Shown and Press Start.
If your Land Rover Defender remote fob key has a dead, bad or broken battery the DIC may display Place Smart Key As Shown and Press Start when you attempt to start it.
To start a Land Rover Defender with a remote key fob that is not working:
Hold the remote key fob on the markings underneath the steering column, then start the Land Rover Defender as normal.
