So around 3,808.00 for your display not including router and music dongle and extent in cords . Hmmm what’s the life span of the bulbs and can they be replaced ?
The lifespan of Twinkly light strings is over 30,000 hours. I did the math, and if I had my lights on every day of the year for 6 hours every day I should get over 13 years of use for these lights. But realistically I will use about 480 hours a year or less, which means these lights should out live me. You can not replace individual bulbs, but these lights are very bright and if you have a light out here or there it would not be noticeable. Hope this helps.
Hi, from what I saw in your video you have the Twinkly Christmas Light RGB. Since I am interested in buying it, I would like to ask if it gives ice white shade or not?
That's what I saw. 🤑🤑🤑🤑 I can't wait to get my set though. I have a set of lights from Holiday Show home and they won't connect to the wifi no matter what I do. There is no online or other support to be found so I'm just going to use those outside and my Twinkly inside.
OMG! That's SOOO COOL! I want your house! I tried to play with my Phillips Hue outdoor lights, and I was so scared of what the neighbours would think of me...but after seing this I think I should go all in! hahha :)
On the Curtain lights, I could find the height and length of the each curtain? On your side fence, how many of the curtains do you have hooked together?
We did not do curtain lights because they are so expensive. We used the pro string lights 250 count. My husband made a frame from pvc with hooks . 3 sets on the left and 4 on the right.4 inches apart and the full length of the wall
We used all Twinkly pro lights. 250 lights per strand (83’ each) and all the house lights are connected with splitter and wifi. The wall is same lights but connected with 6 port Ethernet controller boxes
@@santosmin1611 They are less expensive at Christmasdesigners.com and overstock.com has 1st generation on sale. I’m thinking about it for next year and I do all the holidays so now it would be easier.
The lights are Twinkly Pro RGB light strands, the eves of the house have two rows about 4 inches apart. We used a total of 24 strands of the 250 count and 8 strands of the 200 count.
Great question. We knew we had to have very high speed internet with as much as we have going on. After some trial and error, we found what works for us. We use the Orbi Tri-band Mesh wifi 6 system (3 pack) that includes a router and 2 satellites. The router is connected directly to our home router. The two satellites are at opposite ends of the house. The wifi reaches across the street, so we do not have any problems with connection.
We do not have gutters, they are hung off the eave with small cup hooks. We have 2 strands of lights about 4 inches apart on the eave of the house to give it a cluster look.
Twinkly has a music Dongle. It is connected to the wifi with the twinkly lights and you add music to this device (USB) The Twinkly app has an on/off button for the music dongle and automatically syncs to the music you add to this dongle.
Can these also be done through pc where you can change effects on diff Individual strings or are you limited to just the hole effect they give . What I’m trying to figure out is with one router and controller can I have trees doing one effect and the house doing another to music . Or 1 effect change to another effect without manually pressing buttons?
This will be a long response. First you need to decide if you are going with the pro line or the home line of Twinkly. The pro line is thicker wire, bigger bulbs and what we use. Basically Pro is made with commercial use in mind. However normal home owners can use them. But keep in mind they have differences. In the pro line, there are two ways you can connect the lights to the internet and app. Ethernet controller or wifi controller. Large commercial jobs will use Ethernet controllers. If you are using Ethernet controllers, everything connected to that controller (6 strings max for the ones I have) is one effect. If you go the wifi controller route each wifi can have its own effect or be grouped with other wifi controllers to have the same effect. I use both controllers. But I can not group my Ethernet controller with my wifi controller as one. Which is fine with me.you can always email me if you have more questions akkmommy@gmail.com I am not a professional installer, just an owner with these lights.
Sorry I forgot to say, everything is managed by the app, unless you are doing all Ethernet controllers and then you can get on a pc with their cloud based platform.
We used 2 rows of string lights 4 inches apart to give it a cluster look. The lights are 250 count strands with a splitter to give use 500 lights per wifi connector.
@@Kikaskleekaihuskiesinminiature When you say “splitter,” is this simply a power adapter with two outlets to plug two sets of lights, or is there a custom/special splitter for these?
@@abhishekj.m577 Twinkly has two different options. Home or Professional. The Home system comes with the wifi and power connector with the string of lights. The Professional lights are sold by themself. You would purchase the wifi/power supply or the ethernet port to power the lights. You can purchase the splitters but do not have to use them. We did use the splitters so that we could connect 2 strands per wifi/power connector. This allows less wifi connectors needed. Hope this helps
Hi witch twinkly lights did you use on the roof around gutters thanks
Twinkly Pro, double rows to get the effect
Did you have to use lot of extension cables ?
Yes! One downfall to Twinkly lights is that we can not connect multiple strands together
How much did the lights cost?
Looks like a few thousand
Twinkly is a little pricey, however they are professional grade and will last many years.
I'm impressed this doesn't get stolen. Considering the price of Twinkly, that has to be thousaaands of dollars worth of lights.
So far nothing has been touched. It would take them a long time to try and steal these since they are individuals. Fingers crossed it stays untouched.
@@Kikaskleekaihuskiesinminiature Glad to hear it! Looks amazing.
Did u do all this with the phone app? I can't make my 3k lights map or work together. Did u use a computer program? Help!
Yes everything was with the phone app

Are you using twinkly pro or home?

How many lights are in the whole set up?
7600 lights (24 sets of 250 count & 8 sets of 200 count)
How did you attach them to the gutters of your home? Curious how you secured them to the eves of your home. They look great by the way.
We used small hooks that screw into the face board and leave the hooks up year round.. it is windy here and this worked very well.

What do you use to hang off the eave? Not the gutters but the eave. The way you hang them looks to cover more than a straight string.
We do not have gutters, they are hung off the eave with small cup hooks. We have 2 strands of lights about 4 inches apart on the eave of the house to give it a cluster look.
Were you able to map them all together? Or did you have to do individual groups.
I could group them all together, however we have 2 groups so that our walls could have a different design from the rest of the lights.
How do you do all this when they can connect that’s one thing I don’t like about them I wish you guys should show how you set them all up 😩
Are you referring to the app for Twinkly?
How much did a single strand of 250 lights cost you? and where did you buy them?
We bought ours in 2020 and so the price is different now. Holiday Bright Lights is who we went through.
How many light strings did you use for your house?
5 strands for just the house trim. We also used 1 for the garage, 1 for the upstairs windows and 1 for the down stairs windows.
Are all your Twinkly lights from last year still working? Just wondering how durable those lights are considering their price😊
Yes they are from last year. They are pretty durable.
Have they all been let up all year or taken down after the season?
Ahhh!!! I was hoping you’d post a video of your house!! 🎄♥️🎅🏼
what did you use for the windows?
We used Command outdoor light clips that have 3M sticky backs. They stick into the window seal
How did you get the program to do all that is it with the song
Twinkly has a music Dongle. It is connected to the wifi with the twinkly lights and you add music to this device (USB) The Twinkly app has an on/off button for the music dongle and automatically syncs to the music you add to this dongle.
Are these RGB or RGBW?

We got them from Lowes and then removed the lights it came with and put the Twinkly lights on them.
