@@derekteyler6030 Someone on reddit explained the problem to me and I got it fixed! The tree is not connecting with WPA2 security. I assume you could change it to WPA1, but what was suggested to me was to make a secondary 2.4GHz wifi network (I called it "Tree"), set it to open security, then add a mac filter so only the tree can connect to it. Not sure if this was caused by a Twinkly app update, Twinkly firmware updated, or a router update (I'm using Unifi Dream Machine), but hope it works for you too!
My home wifi keeps saying it can't connect.. im getting frustrated. I did the exact same thing you did and no luck.. it say. " the twinkly can not be found on your local wifi network "

@@ChristmasDesigners hey. Sorry for complaining but I dont know.. I try the setup in the morning and for some reason it started working.. thanks for the reply😁
@@ChristmasDesigners In 2020 that is just borderline unacceptable. Androids make up 90% of the market for smart phones yet Twinkly chooses to develop mainly for IOS. No accuses just a bad programmar that has no idea of what they're doing.
Hey guys So I’m about to make a purchase and I wanted to get the 2 port option and get 2 single runs of 250 lights and run them parallel along my gutters to get a dense 2 inches between the lights…. My question, is there some sort of mapping I would need to do because it would be difficult to capture that using an iPad or iPhone because these would wrap around the gutters of my home ?
When you put away Twinkly lights do you wrap them the same it weird that the light strand splits , plus how do you light a normal tree going to have to dig threw your TH-cam page
Hi! The Twinkly Pro strands come in two different styles. the split style (dual strand) and a single style (single strand). Both strands have 250 lights on them. When putting them away we suggest on the dual strand wrapping each side separately and then putting them together. It makes it easier for the next year when you want to take them out and start decorating. Since the lights have a fairly long lead on them, we have some people start at the top and work their way down the tree. Utilizing one strand first, then the next strand when the first one ends. I hope this helps. If you would like more information, you can always ask questions by emailing our team at twinklysupport@christmasdesigners.com
We do not sell the 175 LED Twinkly set so we are not sure what light count to click. We would try using the 200 light count or reaching out to where you purchased the product for more information. It is more than likely a Home generation 1 light set as the Home generation 2 string sets comes in 100L, 250L, 400L and 600L.
Hi! I am sorry to hear that your devices are not working correctly. If you purchased them from us please give us a call at 800.391.5280 with your order number. We have a team that will be happy to help you troubleshoot.
Unfortunately, we never carried the Gen 1 however, we have been told you can group them together. There are some effects that are Gen 2 only. These will not be available on the Gen 1 devices. Hope this helps.
Mine connects to my wifi, then freezes at "Looking for Twinkly devices..." like you can see at 2:40

I have both a 1 port and 2 port in a group for 750L total but have no option for 3D mapping? I've tried on an iPhone and 2 different ipads.
