Hi, you helped me so good. Yesterday I bought this printer and only connected it to the computer through the WIFI. But today I had to scan a document and spent 4 hours trying to figure it out. Great job vinnel people not trained in tech need people like you to break it down like this. I was in the wrong port man. Almost threw this printer in the creek. They give zip for dummies info thank you brother. I'm just trying to print typed files. Was really struggling man ty again.

@@Vinneltv ty brother it really did. I was able to load the software fine which is huge for me. I saw others couldn't. Still couldn't achieve mate up for printing my created documents but these things take time & practice. But your emphasis on scanning helped me push a needed project to completion. @Desirae and Chris Richardson could you tell me what the problem was, is your printer connect with WIFI or USB CABLE? you need to download Canon Inkjet/Selphy app on your laptop then search for your printer and connect it to the same network as your laptop to be able to scan,

Bro, what model is your canon printer? And I also want to check if I don’t want to use an USB cable to connect it to my laptop, can the printer connect via wifi for printing or scanning ??? Thanks to hear from you soon.
@Posh Berries the printer is Canon PIXMA MG3650 and you can connect Printer to laptop via WIFI to print ,scan and copy as far as your printer is wireless without the need to connect it to USB cable.

@Tee Anderson not sure but it depend on the printer you got scanning with mobile app is faster compared to scanning with Usb cable

Every time I try to scan I get to the last step where it says scanner is warming up and after that I get this message:
Cannot communicate with scanner for these reasons scanner is turned off
(If using wired LAN connection) it is disconnected from wired LAN.
(If using wireless LAN connection) signal strength is poor due to obstructions.
(network connection is prohibited by security software.
Different scanner on the network is selected.

@ Redredwine1277 connecting the plug and USB depends on the make of your computer and printer. My printer is cannon Pixima the plug and USB point are at the back of the printer on the left side. Power cable at bottom and USB point on top. My laptop is Toshiba satellite power cable and USB is on the left . Hope this helps and God bless you

In a case where ny scan is faded what do I need to do?
Try to print your scan document with different programs such a Microsoft word as you would be able to enhance the document brightness

My Image Garden started freezing a year ago and will not work properly even after I remove and re-install. Any ideas on a workaround? It's terrible software. Thanks!
I would remove and reinstall Canon Print Inkjet/Selphy App, delete the printer and add it back , you can also use your smart phone to download Canon Print Inkjet/Selphy app ,then search and add your printer then connect to WIFI network to scan , print and copy using smart phone.
