If i use amp return of my tube amp, and i sélect pre cab/IR in global seting, is the reverb and delay will be send to my amp? Because reverb and delay is after the cab bloc..🤔
@@HeyWorshipLeader i have try yesterday night to put the setting "before cab/IR, and i could ear strangulation hum on my amp. So i put the setting to "out" and simple put the cab bloc to "off", and it was better... Pkus, i have no volume contrôlé on the pod go volume knob, just with the volume pédale.
I'll probably have to watch the "connector"sections of two of the three options about 5 times each before I fully GET what you're proposing. I wanted to try out my POD GO with an Acoustic GTR and a Acoustic patch, for a special event we're having at church, where I won't use the house system, but instead want to use my CRATE Acoustic Amp, 30w. Had not tried it before. It didn't work out so well, so I unplugged the unit and just went direct into the Amp from my Gtr. Now it seems I need to TURN OFF the Amp and Cab on the POD GO first, which after thinking about it, now makes sense! SO in testing it NEXT, I will run a cable from the AMP OUT from the unit, into the INPUT on the amp. RIGHT? Looks like the easiest way to do it. I guess I could also use the second input on the amp, since it has two, one totally clean, and the other one, with effects, which would then basically cancel out the need for the POD GO! OR use the Clean input since that one just has a Gain knob.
Why am i having better results with the digital preamps infront of a clean amp?? Just seems to yield better results. I still put delay and reverb after the digital preamps and just send that through a clean amp preamp...no problem
It would be AMAZING if you could do HX Stomp XL with the same subject! I'm really looking for a way to understand sending stereo signal to FOH and running to amp and simply bypassing the cab. But the stomp has dual paths that seem like a math equation to figure out haha
Hi watched your video on the nux amp academy can you do a video showing the hardworking to amp using the send and return like you did in this video ,would greatly appreciate and what position the di and ir toggle switches on the amp academy have to be in Thanks in advance.
i sometimes use the amps in the podgo and plug it in to my blues jr amp. For me i can get some great sounds by also using the amps in the podgo. but every video i look they all say to put the amps in the podgo off if you use a real amp. am i crazy or is it a OK thing to do?
Hi! I have a question, I'm a total noob and new on this, can I connect the pod go with deactivated cab (but with amp effect) directly into the cab through the mono output?
That’s a great question and the answer is no. A real cab needs a reactive load that the POD Go amp model isn’t providing. To my knowledge would still need a power amp. They make pedal versions: www.sweetwater.com/c623--Amp_Head?highlight=Howitzer&seoslug=electro-harmonix-howitzer-15-watt-power-amp-pedal&catrollup=4/622/623&mrkgadid=&mrkgcl=28&mrkgen=gpla&mrkgbflag=1&mrkgcat=drums&percussion&acctid=21700000001645388&dskeywordid=&lid=58700008501175174&dsproductgroupid=&product_id=Howitzer&prodctry=US&prodlang=en&channel=online&storeid=&device=m&network=x&matchtype=&adpos=largenumber&locationid=9009739&creative=&targetid=&campaignid=20426646913&awsearchcpc=&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAiAuNGuBhAkEiwAGId4alug3_cGHa5HjsZ5pe-hHCZeedfpbY2JXvY5bF-_vTLjzBHfwagQDRoCDcUQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds
Dude, I have a question that I can't seem to wrap my head around. I'm wanting to have my two amps in stereo, which I figured would be left channel out of pod Go to one amp, right out to second amp. But also need to use a bunch of physical pedals in the FX loop, some of which are stereo, others mono. Am I asking too much of the pod go wireless?
Nope...that's totally doable. Just make sure that your FX Loop block is before anything else that's stereo or it will get summed to mono because of the mono pedals in the FX Loop
Question @HeyWorshipLeader If I do the Amp Out set-up, if I select amp source to be Pre-Cab/IR, will the front of house still receive both the Pod's pre-amp and cab/IR?
Hi! I have a noob question: Using the 3rd routing option (using my amp as return), will I be able to use the POD GO amp emulations on my actual amp? I really want to test the amps and cabs models available using my actual amp (Peavey Bandit 112) - but bypassing my Peavey's "identity" and turning it as for example a Fender twin amp
I do this now. Go to Global Settings and make sure the Amp Out Source is set to PreCab/IR. Connect the Pod Go Amp Out to your amp's return input. Make sure to place the cab block to the far right of your chain. Anything to the right of the cab will be bypassed as well.
I have an Ampeg BA-115 bass amp that I use with my Gibson SG. (Yes, I should probably be using a regular guitar amp but let me continue...) I use the Pod Go Amp Out to the amp Return method and set it to where the cab block is bypassed as you last described. It's worked ok so far but I also play through an FRFR at church and use the Pod Go Main Out so as to keep the cab block. This has worked ok too but the sounds between the two are not the same and I make sure to use a "1x15 Ampeg B-15" cab simulator (assuming this models my Ampeg) with the FRFR. Any ideas on how I can simulate or at least get these sounds to match better between the two? Just trying to avoid bringing the FRFR to my house to create sounds with the Pod Go.
This is all by the book but in reality if I plug it in the front of my Orange crush or in the back of my Katana with no IRs it sounds like hot fizzy garbage
“Fizz” is nothing but unwanted high frequencies. Turn em down in the global eq. I bring 6.5k way down (-6db or more) with the Q all the way down to .1, a low cut at 65hz to make low frequency reproduction more efficient… and if necessary a high roll off set anywhere from 8k to 18k. The last one depends on the speaker in the amp. If it’s a dark speaker it might not be necessary. With the EQ options in the Pod Go there is absolutely no need to live with fizz. Here’s maybe even a better idea. Google a chart that gives you the “syllable” frequency chart. That’ll help you determine what you want to eliminate, or alternatively, use the “seek and destroy” eq method.
This video is more for people with plenty of experience lol. Well maybe not but for someone just into this its way over my head. I havent used anything like any of this for 20+ years . WTH is IR?
Yup I tried the every cable possible method this thing sounds like crap no matter what … sounds so fake a digital I’m a fan of digital I’m not an analog snob but there are way better digital sounding stuff out there not a line 6 fan
My attention deficient ass just rewound 4 times at the same section because I missed the two words I needed to hear over and over again lmfao. I don’t blame it on him though. The video is quick and efficient.

Whoa! Thanks man!!!
1st option is just simple. That's all I need. Thank you!!!
Just what I was looking for. I want to use mine through my deluxe reverb. Cool . Turn of amps and cabs was my query. You answered it😊
lol was wondering why every time I plugged into the reverb delux I sound like crappp
Great short and informative knowledge!
Glad to help!
hey man thank you for the video!! I just bought thsi thing and need know hows lol
THANK YOU!!!😊😊😊😊😊

Exactly right. If you want reverb and delay you’ll need to put those before the amp and cab

That's a great idea...the only problem is that I built a pedalboard around it a while back and gave it away! I'll see if they can send me another one!
What if you want to use a FRFR as your monitor to hear yourself?
i sometimes use the amps in the podgo and plug it in to my blues jr amp. For me i can get some great sounds by also using the amps in the podgo. but every video i look they all say to put the amps in the podgo off if you use a real amp. am i crazy or is it a OK thing to do?
ok BUT... if a choose a preamp instead of an amp the sound in front of the house it's going to be the same?
Just getting into modelers and such, and Jesus Christ is this shit confusing. Would it make sense for me to run one of these through my 5150 iii 50w?

Does this work for bass amps?

I tried this and I can't change the amps volume, it's as if the volume is maxed out all the time.

@bcain5823 thanks for the info. I'll definitely give that a shot! 👍
On the 4 cable method does it matter if you use TRS or TS cables between the Pod Go and amp?
TS not TRS.
Is that a keyboard amp?

An IR is an impulse response, which is basically a cab simulation
