    Very useful stuff man! I had an HX Stomp for a while, but the Pod is so much easier to use. You reminded me about the footswitch assign for amp controls and even the input gate. Thanks for putting this together!

    Good stuff, been using my Pod Go for a while now in our worship band and I love it, but still so much more to learn. I really liked how you overloaded the amp boost, level and bass onto 1 footswitch.

    Very interesting how everybody approaches the pod differently. This is definitely someone who has background using a regular board and likes the tap dancing work during sets.
    Personally started with board, hated the tap dancing, and got pod but I use it how Worship Tutorials does where each bank is a song, and the snapshots within that bank are the different parts of the song (very much like the helix approach).
    This limits you to about 4 parts of a song but typically the 4 WT give you covers it with: Snapshot 1 = Clean
    Snapshot 2 = Small drive
    Snapshot 3 = Big drive / Lead
    Snapshot 4 = Ambient swells

    • @HeyWorshipLeader
      @HeyWorshipLeader ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That's a great approach too..I use it often as well.

    One tip I use is I wanted a Helix but couldn’t justify the extra cost since I am not a pro. I got a Helix LT and missed the scribble strips and instead got a label maker and put a label under the switch that I will now always use for that class of effect. I have a distortion, fuzz, chorus, flanger, 12 string, and solo boost that are in the same place for every song. I really only use it like and expensive pedalboard though I do change up some of the individual effects based on the song we play. Biggest difference is the amps I use and I have the same effects going into each amp and change amp depending on the song. Label maker is probably $20 at office depo and it’s useful to label lots of equipment to make setup easier as well as consistent.

    Hey Jimmy, Can you compare pros and cons of POD Go vs. Helix? Is the edit software similar? Ability to upload presets? I am drawn to the Helix for the large labels, more switches and larger screen, but the POD looks like it has a ton of features at less than 1/2 the cost. I am interested in Worship; 50's, 60's, 70"s rock; and country/rock. Great to see you doing educational videos for the POD Go. Thank You!

      I have this video I made between the POD Go and HX Stomp XL, which I realize is not what you asked for, but might be helpful: th-cam.com/video/Ukxz0t9vh20/w-d-xo.html
      The software has similarities but enough differences that it takes some time to get used to. Both have pros and cons. The Larger Screen and Scribble Strips are VERY nice. But saving money is also very nice. haha. For what it's worth I tend to grab my POD go more often because of how easy and light it is

    Hey praise Jesus!
    And thanks for putting the time and effort and love into your vids bro, much appreciated!
    This might sound daft but what about a compression pedal before guitar in jack? Mine is true bypass so no real buffer, but my thinking is its a frequencies and compression may work the same and I can use a comp block for something else. Just a thought.

    • @HeyWorshipLeader
      @HeyWorshipLeader ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I use an external comp this way on my HX Stomp board. Same principle!

    • @mikefarquhar5063
      @mikefarquhar5063 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Hey Worship Leader I have the jhs 3series comp pedal, it's best little extra is a hi/lo setting, toggle switch up more highs high mids non adjustable, and obviously the toggle down cuts those but I'm not sure if the pedal has been designed for an optimum mix of hi hi mid balance same with lows, it's such a good option to boost and compress what I'm thinking is the ratio of compression, my knowledge of compression ratios- I need to research, know the awesome tools at hand getting the setting individual pedals, familirise the' sweet spot' (to a point mostly subjective therfore infinite) on every drive pedal, anything pre amp, time based I just use a metronome if it's not a cover then it's all out there's, too easy to find? Idk that's all in the research debt lol

    Guys! I recommend everybody POD GO users to use some buffer pedal before the POD GO guitar input. There was the video about input impedance fail from Line 6 with POD GO, so I use a mooer micro DI as a buffer, and the sound became fuller and brighter and cleaner. Try it and you will see changes in your sound. Peace!
