I have a cruiser that the wife wore out the crank and bearings. I would like to convert from a 1 piece crank to a three-piece and use sealed bearings instead of the caged bearings. Do I need to measure the ID of the bike frame in order to get the proper OD bearing set?
@@watermelongrin it should be standard “American” size for the I.D. Of the frame. You just need the O.D. Of the spindle of the new crank. Hope that help! Rob
I bought a bike and didn’t over look it well because it was winter but its now spring and i just found out the bikes crank way to small and the crank thread was stripped wont tighten but this is an odd bike company no longer in business any thoughts 😂waiting patiently for response
Start ordering from a different bike company. I get my bikes from mafiabikes and all the boxes say in big letters right on the front “DO NOT RUIN YOUR BIG DAY MAKE SURE EVERYTHING IS PROPERLY INSTALLED SECURELY” that’s also just something you should do no matter what. Take the bike inside your house and look over it if you need to under good lighting. I ordered a bike once and they put my front tire on backwards by accident I didn’t even notice it for a month. It’s crazy. But I get it these bike mechanics are putting together so many of these bikes a day so they probably are bound to make a mistake everyone once in a while. I’d reccomend getting a new crank set and bottom bracket adapter for American bottom bracket if it’s American BB. If it’s a mid BB the bearings will fit right in each side of the bracket. If you have American BB then Mafiabikes sells 3 piece crank upgrades for American bottom bracket adapter already installed on the bearings. that come with sized pedals for the 3 piece crank for around 40 dollars. If you just look up Mafiabikes 3 piece crank upgrade on google you will find it. It has chromoly splines and middle bar for the bottom bracket so it won’t get stripped out it’s strong metal
These bearings aren't designed to tolerate any sideways force being applied to the inner (chrome) ring. It causes brinneling on the inner and outer race, as well as the balls. It would be better to remove the cup and bearing together if you have to tap it out.
I took it down when it sold but then the auction didn't go through so i relisted it and i think it messed up the shipping and i couldn't change it and no one bid on it. lol I think its a sign to keep the bike and keep making videos. I am going to start making videos regularly again. Life got crazy for a while there but I'm back! Thanks for the Support! -Rob
@thebasementbikeshop2336 oh gotcha, I waited a week, think u said in a week... anyways... looked but couldn't find. I think it's fate man, awesome! Love the videos, can't wait. Thanks for the response, really cool.

Always love seeing it when you release a new video, even if I’m not needing to perform that task, I usually pick up a trick or two. Thanks 👊
Thank you for watching! Hope you learned something that will help you out later!

Yes you can replace the sprocket/chain ring with one with a higher tooth count.
I haven't worked on bikes in about 20 years....How do I measure to find the correct size for my bike?

Nice work
Thanks buddy
You’re welcome! I’m glad I could help
That's what I did with my gomier trike convert it to a sealed 3 piece crank set
I want to see a video of the 1 piece to a non sealed 3 piece if you can. That's all I have and I want to ride.
The 3 piece unsealed still uses the same cup and bearing design that is used for a OPC. The only real difference is the spindle.
What happened to the new video? Bike auction?
