Are the cups always identical? They seem to be slightly differently shaped, the left less contoured. My crank makes noise, but only in 3rd and 4th gear on a 5 speed hub.
Thanks, going to change out the 3pc crank on my Redline 600a to a 1pc, hopefully I can keep the existing cups, bearings and racers and only need the 1pc crank arm.
Is it possible to swap out a aftermarket sprocket on a kids bmx bike with the same style 1 piece crankset. Keep everything original except new colored sprocket
My question is...why would anyone want to install a one piece crank on their bike? That's like the opposite of progress and bringing down your bike's worth.
Thanks for the tutorial Rob !!! Just bought my first 80s bmx and im going to change out crank for another one. This will help.
You're Welcome! Glad I could help.

My cranks get loose on a certain angle how do i fix this
do you need to press the bearings into the hub? i was watching videos on how to do it, but i think they were installing a 3 piece crank.
Do you know what size bearing a mongoose hood d uses?

I just replaced the whole bottom bracket and it wasn’t hard at all. The new BB assembly for my haro bmx was $11 besides. How did it go for you?
@@TheDoozie43 hey my bmx has a mid bb and where i live no bike shop has 3 piece cranksets, will a 1 piece crankset be able to work with the bb?
Is it possible to swap out a aftermarket sprocket on a kids bmx bike with the same style 1 piece crankset. Keep everything original except new colored sprocket
Yes!
Ok thanks for the reply. Will any aftermarket sprocket work with a pinch bolt
How do you know when the slotted bearing cup is tight enough? No slop, but not crazy tight either I assume?
hi man a question do you have the size of the bearing mine is missing one and i was wondering if you could buy the whole bearing as a package
What size are you using 24t or 28t BB?
Is it possible to get a list/links to all the tools used in the video, I need to buy and just want to get the correct sizes
adjustable 14mm-15mm flat screw
very nice i like the bike..
Thanks for the tips on how to do this with everyday tools.
Hi sir is it possible to replace it to sealed bearing?
Yes it is possible. I just recently bought a sealed bearing one. And i think its better.
But what grease do you use? Does it matter?
Hi can you maybe give me a link to the tool you were using to tighten the thing on the sprocket
this is the best one. you could use a cheaper adjustable spanner wrench but it doesn't work as well. amzn.to/3dz3qVE
link where to buy cups and bearing?
amzn.to/3mYBVhk although most American BBs will work. hope this helps
What is that cup called
im in nj, need repairs
thankss
that method does work cuz my husband just did that on his bike
Great video
Thanks

How to install a gorilla on bicycle

Not if it came like that…the bikes worth would be more if kept original
Not necessarily. If you’re rebuilding an early 80’s to original I’d want the original equipment on it.
