  • Today I am reviewing the brand new load-cell pedal set from Thrustmaster. This is my first experience ever with load-cell pedals if you are on the fence about them, I hope this perspective from a noobie helps you out!
    Please feel free to ask any questions I didn't cover.

    Good review and good pedals for the price, I'm using the Red and White spring combination and 2 discs in preload spring... gives good progressive modulation in my opinion. The only thing that lacks in these pedals are nicer pedal plates, besides that they are pretty good overall. Thank you for the nice review!

    Great review man!! Especially the comparance with the T300 GT pedal version from Thrustmaster i do own. Really great job. The only question i have or maybe you can test in a next video is, How much space can you create with the Pedal plate of the Loadcell to the far left and the Throttle plate to the far right? Thx 👍

    Just ordered myself a set as a late xmas present. I am pretty mechanical minded, can weld/fabricate, 3d print stuff and solder no problems. I will see how i will these will hold up and how i get along with them. Ive seen other reviews and complaints about flexing of the pedals, wear and tear etc. But knowing me and i like to tinker, strip these down and put all the tech into my all metal tp3a-pros.

    I race from a gaming chair (no rig) and have GTE pedals like you did but with custom load cell mod. My question is about a steeper angle of LCM pedals vs GTE, do you think it will comfortable playing from higher position than in typical sim rig?
    Did you try to adjust the angle with reversing the black plastic inserts between pedal and the arm?

    • @abs4728
      @abs4728 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Bryce Kalusa Is your brake resistance at 70? This is the default setting in the calibration software. I found that too strong and I took it all the way down to 0. It's just too damn strong to press the brake

    • @thesackofnuts5275
      @thesackofnuts5275 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Ahmad AlSalem THATS probably why you’re not feeling what you’re supposed to. I personally run it on 90 with dead zone at 3 and its able to provide a fairly realistic feel similar to the pedals on a track car. Braking is a lot more consistent as well.
      (Ps. When I say 90 I’m referring to the TM software. I just let the game calibrate to the TM software, I feel that by this way I’m able to get better feedback)

      I haven't used it myself so I can't comment accurately, but I did just watch a video on it and it seems to me like it's the same pressure the whole time whereas the load cell is a spring that gets harder to press with more and more force. I may be wrong but that's what it looks like to me.

    • @andrebrait
      @andrebrait 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have it and it's not the same pressure all the time. You need to push it harder in order to make the pedal go further. After some calibration on Dirt 2.0 and adjusting the rubber cone distance to thenpedal it's like a car's brake to me. I haven't used any LCM pedals though

    Good review.
    Im going to want a bit longer. I use a T300rs with T3PA pro pedals. And spend years playing with the brake mod to get it close to real pressure. Note it may not have the throw like T-lcm. But there fine just for PS4 project cars 2, Dirt rally 2.0 and Gran Turismo sport.
    If I was upgraded from standard pedals it would be a no brainer. But the past investment in the T3PA pro pedals I'm a little yeah nah at the moment. But good honest review. Maybe one day I'll upgrade. But if I do I'll jump ship to fanatic maybe or see if any new companies come out. Money is slim in the virus lockdown. But you should do a follow up video in a few months.

      @brycekalusa1717  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks! Glad it helped. How do you like the brake mod? I considered doing that but ultimately decided to just go big since these were fairly cheap. I'll do a follow-up review later on on how much these are helping me.

    • @Mystninja
      @Mystninja 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@brycekalusa1717 I've had T3PA pedal and broke the brake mod. So I upgraded to the T3PA pro pedals. The mod is stronger with more adjustability. But the to get a real feel. Takes away travel distance. And you need to calibrate the pedals in every game/Sim for the shorter distance. They get a little twitchy at around 30% braking.
      I use to run the T3PA pro inverted gt style buy it's just not right. The angle is just not like a street car. So I use them in F1 mode like all modern racing cars. I wish the T-LCM come out when I had gotten the T3PA pros. The pros are better then the standard T3PA but I think the inverted gt style is a gimmick. But some people like it that way. Each to there own.
      I liked your review as it's hard to find a honest review. Most review of big channel that don't have to spend money on products tend to be a little more on the side of the company.
      What I've noticed with Thrustmaster Sim racing gear is. It's a lottery. I had one T300 last 4years then the next one last 3weeks and my 3rd one is still going over a year.
      The T3PA pedals have plastic arms and I've stripped the threads (I'm not using that pedal set) and as I mentioned before. The brake mod broke.
      It's a expensive hobby.
      But one day I'll go load cell.

    • @brycekalusa1717
      @brycekalusa1717  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I tried to make it from the perspective of a low end user so I'm glad that was good! That's interesting about the T300. I've had this one about a year and it's done well for me but I feel that I can tell that there is a bit of wear and tear. I've also pushed the force feedback to its limit and realized that it can't handle super high FFB but that's fine for me.
      The T3PA pedals are probably similar to the T300 stock pedals I would imagine? Definitely feel cheaper and not as resistant but honestly not bad pedals for how long I used them.
