yeah.. like many have said here , you're completely missing the point of this remake. I assure you , the vast majority of the MGS fans are very happy with a 1:1 remake.
I dont get why people are against a 1 for 1 Remake anyway cus that is what a Remake is a 1 for 1 Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3 shouldn't be called Remakes cus they are Reimagine not Remakes If they changed it people would be way more mad than the people that was upset about the changes in Resident Evil 3 Remake They cant please everyone and there is only a small minority that want things changed so why bother and it dosnt make sense either if MGS3 is so good why change it more than needed It's not laziness it's a creative choice so people need to stop calling it lazy just cus it's not what they wanted out of a Remake some people need to go and make there own game and see how well they do if they think Konami is being lazy
@@StopJerkingOff But thats mostly because MGS3 controls weird to modern standards. With modern controls added in Delta? Itll be considered perfect all over again XD
@@megaham1552 Every game has flaws especially Konami games. They may be polished but there's always that whole "it could be better" caveat. Even the remake won't please everyone.
@@XeroSigmaPrime yes that true but I think they should keep everything from the original but atleast at the same time add new sections to the game. The jungles will feel a lot smaller now.
It honestly feels like OP didnt even see any of the MGS hotlines, where we literally see OG devs behind MGS3 working on Delta, literally talking about and addressing alot of these exact points raised in this video LOL
I see it like this: Konami is already on the backfoot when it comes to fan approval; the last original MGS game they made without Kojima was a disaster. Them remaking snake eater 1:1 is them saying "look see, we're not messing with your experience/Kojima's vision, we're just gonna upgrade the gameplay and graphics and not touch anything else." They're playing it safe.
Kind of a nitpick, but how you can call yourself a fan and say something about solid snake while having big boss image in the background 7:50 Overall, I think your logic is flawed in this one. It is just a remake, it is not a recreation and it should not be, as it is a Kojima game. I would like to see snake eater here, because it is awesome to think how beautiful it can look with modern technologies. The mastery of cinematography was present in original, I do not see a need for change, I just hope they will upgrade facial animations so it will not look like Pachinko. Overall, I disagree with you on a lot of points
@MediaPhilosophy one of the things they announced was building upon the healing system, where any damage you take during the game, can scar and will stay with you, the rest of the game... its not a 1:1 remake, You Are Overreacting. This is Hideo Kojima we are talking about. This game looks FANTASTIC. You are Overreacting lol
I've come to learn the difference between remake, remaster, and reimagining. If Kanomi is setting out to remake the game, then they're doing a good job. If MGS fans are so starved for content that this satisfies them, then that's more a refelection on the sad state of the fandom than anything else. I want a reimagining because I know its potential. Yet people act like Kojima is some mystic game maker whose work shall not be touched
@MediaPhilosophy well... its his story lol I'm sorry to say but... Metal Gear is over. We know everything about the Boss's life all the through the timeline to Raiden. The only game that can be made, is maybe a sequel to Revengeance... but why. The MGS series isn't starved for content, it's as you said yourself. He's been working since the beginning of video games basically. So Much so, the original 2 metal gear games can be beaten in 2 hours. MGS 3 was limited by its hardware, as well as most MGS games before it along with the PSP games. For a game limited originally by size and camera angles, there is a lot this game can be improved upon, visually and mechanically. Offering a truer version of what the, "Creator", would want lol its not what you want, or even the fandoms, it's what he wants lol people don't get upset with people when they talk bad about Kojima, they simply complain when fans want it their way and not his. He crested it. There is a lot when it comes to reimagining Halo or God of War... but... No Fan wants that... nor do the original creators. You are overreacting. This isn't a cheap remake. It's an enhanced version. A truer version, of an already amazing game. It can only get better.
I was ready to tell you STFU but you make some interesting points. Still though, a semi remake/remaster isn't something i'm complaining about I actually wish Resident Evil went a little bit more down this route, I don't care much for reimaginings. Remakes should be strictly about bringing older games graphics and gameplay to modern standards with just a sprinkle of creative flair, Resident Evil one HD Remake did this perfectly. Added some new stuff while keeping everything from the original game intact. The Tomb Raider Remasters are too much like the old game while the Resident Evil Remakes reimagines too much. The only thing wrong with Twin Snakes is the ridiculous cutscenes. The easier gameplay never bothered me. If it came out on PS2 I think it wouldn't be as hated.
That is an interesting perspective because sometimes a remaster isn't enough. I guess there should be 2 distinct types of remakes. A remake can still copy 3 beat for beat zone for zone, but, for just a second, let your imagination run wild. How could you upgrade guard? Which maps would you tweak to maximize the new controls? Could you somehow include tiny side ops throughout the game? The possibilities are endless 3's setting is the perfect location for a remake.
@@MediaPhilosophy i actually don't disagree with any of the ideas you've laid out in your reply. I think there's just so many blurred lines between remake/remaster/reimagining/reboot/redux we don't even know what the other is talking about. Like i said in my op, you can add anything new as long as it doesn't contradict the lore or the story of the original and as long as you stay true to the original and don't remove anything like resident evil 3 remake did. What you've just mentioned i think goes hand in hand with improving the gameplay.
I don't even know where to begin here. A 1 to 1 remake is the safest , and smartest option at this point in time for Konami. For starters, you called these upscaled graphics. This is not upscaling. If you want to see an example of upscaling take a look at some videos of modders upscaling the most recent release of some of the Metal Gear titles, like Snake Eater, and giving it 4K resolution. What you call lazy, I call authentic to the source. Konami is NOT a company I want playing fast and loose with new things to the MG universe. The last time they got creative with the series without Kojima, we got survive. A MG game in name only. Konami's had a bad habit of repeatedly mismanage their IP's by giving them to cheaply hired development teams who are not qualified or capable of delivering good product. They have almost no internal teams left that made the good old games people loved. The Silent Hill HD collection for example is widely considered inferior to the original PS2 releases because of bad design choices, and a decision to replace the voice actors. Because Konami did not want to pay the old actors royalties. Compare the upcoming Silent Hill 2 remake with the Snake Eater remake. One project looks amazing (Snake Eater) while the other (Silent Hill 2) has long time fans extremely worried. They look like they were made in two separate console generations. Then there's this idea that you want them to outsource the development of MG to some cheap team because people will buy Delta anyway regardless so why not? It is absolutely baffling. That's the same move that already ruined the Silent Hill franchise after Team Silent was dissolved. This behavior of releasing slop because people will buy it for its name is why we have so many awful games. Why you would advocate for this makes absolutely no sense. It's a practice that is bringing the industry to the edge of a cliff. It's why people who play sports games get the same copy/pasted crap every year. "To appease the current generation, things need to be altered." I'm getting real "Made for a modern audience" vibes here. Younger generations don't even know what Metal Gear is. When I showed some younger people at my work videos of Delta, people all under the age of 30 mind you, none of them had ever heard of Metal Gear before. Some were even skeptical that it was going to be anything worth playing because they'd never heard of it. These people are not the target audience. "I want people who have never played a Metal Gear game to love it." And you think the best way to do that is not to give new people who've never played it, the same chance to experience what you loved when you were younger? "The experiences created 20 years ago won't leave a lasting impact today." Why? Based on what? You're living proof that is not true. They left an impact enough so on you that you made this video. What makes you think that the story of the original that you supposedly fell in love with can't be as impactful today was it was back then? Also what this talking out of both sides of your mouth? You say earlier in the video you're going to buy it day one, and then at the end of the video you beg people not to buy it and to "Have strength". Why don't you find the strength to wait a week after release? So you can check what people are saying and make sure the games not horribly broken or worse yet, a broken promise. You're calling Delta lazy, when the master collection Konami just put out is a copy/paste of the MGS HD collection from the PS3 era. Which on PC at least was broken on release and not even the proper resolution that they advertised.
This is exactly it Im obsessed with the series but if I wanted to play the same exact game I would play the original. Keep the story the same add to the map make it bigger and create new paths thats would be awesome.
I'll never understand gamers being adament on hating remakes. First it started with RE4 fans calling the remake "soulless" and changing too much and now people are hating mgs delta for being 1:1? Can yall make up your minds 😂
Crash Bandicoot recently had remakes that played it safe and people loved them. That same team went on to make Crash 4 using the experience they gained remaking the originals and people loved it as well. The team making MGS Delta could go on to do the same thing but they absolutely shouldn't come out the gate with a MGS6 and ruin their reputation AGAIN like they did with Survive. Here's the thing, they NEED to play it safe. Konami has been dog water since MG Survival came out 10 years ago. They can't do a reimagining of a masterpiece like MGS3 because they don't have the talent. Capcom could pull it off with Resident Evil 2 and 4 because they had a veteran team that made their own engine, working for decades on these games. Konami has nothing without Kojima, they have to start over.
I am all for the cutscenes being remade shot for shot, but now that they've confirmed that the Camo system will also be 1:1 (except for the fact that you can go into Face Camos with R1 and back to Uniforms with L1), I cannot help but feel disappointed. Many people have complained about those sub-systems being dated. Healing, backpack, camo, and food, should be done in real time to actually add to the tension. Also the areas being simply 1:1 will cause a lot of old fans to just blitz through the game. I'd only want OPTIONAL paths to explore, so that everyone is happy. We get to see something new, but purists can just ignore all the new additions and go on their merry way with the original paths. TLDR; improve upon the gameplay systems, make new linear optional additions to the maps.
Nothing has been upscaled. It is being remade from scratch in a new game engine. They are just doing it 1:1 with the old game. Which in my book is good. Your take is just bad and uninformed. sorry.
Honestly I kinda agree. The very first thing that came to mind when I realized it's a 1:1 is "this game is gonna feel weird and small". And I love MGS3.
why exactly would you want a complete remake without kojima? What konami is doing is great for newcomers to the series, and fans of the old who want to experience the game, like they are playing it for the first time, considering graphics have come along way since. You try load up mgs3 now and see if you get the same emotions as when you first played it on ps2/
At 6:29 when you imagine having to fight your way out of Granin's research facility because a scientist saw through your disguise... you can play it that way! That can just literally happen, if you let it. It happened on my last playthrough. Sounds like you're saying you want it to happen regardless of the player's actions. You want them to turn the game from an emergent sandbox into a series of scripted events... but the scripted events are things that would have previously happened emergently
Metal Gear has always had scripted fights and events. But the point isn't that one specific suggestion. It's what we lose with a 1:1 remake and that's a new experience. Before buying Delta, we know what's going to happen except for, God willing, some minor tweaks and Easter eggs. I'm just really sad Kanomi is leaning on 20 year old game design when so much has changed
@@MediaPhilosophy *Konami and yes. But. We don’t know that there isn’t more content that hasn’t yet been revealed. We’re assuming it’s a 1:1 remake of the Blueprint port, but that’s just our speculation. What’s going to be in place of the Guy Savage dream? Will Snake vs Monkey return, maybe with the monkeys replaced? What’s to stop ‘em adding new modes, extra missions etc? Plus, the earlier version of this remake we saw cannibalised into Pachinko cutscenes had a lot of strange assets made for it- like, it had a cel-shaded, “super deformed” mode… what’s up with that? Will that make a return? We assume we’ve seen everything they’re doing for this port, but we don’t actually know
I'm still holding out hope, but everything keeps pointing towards disappointment. I'm really hoping this opens the door for some sort of DLC. Operation EVA anyone?
Yea its already in MGS3 LOL And even their follow up point on maybe having you stalk Raikov more... You can literally do that and see him interact with soldiers, scientists, even follow him into the bathroom and interact with him in unique ways Its literally already in the game...
@@XeroSigmaPrime yeah. He just wants a version of that scene but where Raidenovich is a free agent roaming all over the base. Which would be a far less tight experience. So you see him over by the tank hangars and… do what? Wait for him to go back to the place where the lockers are? It wouldn’t make the game better, it would just fuck up the pacing
Most of the fans are actually happy. Definitely not watching anymore of your videos. All you managed to prove is you have no idea about the Metal Gear community and how they feel about Delta.

I mean, everything is a learning process. Making videos by yourself is a lot of work. Yeah some people might be able to rattle off into a mic, edit it, and boom. Video. But I need to sit down and write and shoot and edit all around real life and that gets hard. While making this video, I did realize that I didn't explain exactly how I felt about the 1:1 cutscenes. Honestly, I know Kanomi wont pay for that. But then you're already hours and hours into a project and you weigh how bad do you want to go back and tweak stuff? How many people are even going to watch it? You start getting tunneled vision that this is a good idea, because why would you make a video you don't think is good? Bottom line is 100% stand by the overall message that we deserve fans deserve so much better. I honestly didn't really see a difference between a remake and reimagine before these comments, so I learned. Ultimately, I'm just afraid we'll never really get to see how far the MG series could go on tomorrow's hardware. But I do wish I took more care into my argument to better get my point across.
I think we should be grateful we’re getting anything considering Kojima isn’t even on board. It took them more than a decade to even fully port the original games to modern hardware and pc. The original games were meant to mimic movie quality and I think that having a 1:1 remake is more than enough, hell if we could complain about anything it would be about why MGS1 or 2 isn’t getting the same treatment right now (maybe MG1 and 2 are more deserving of that). I do think that the level design of the original would translate weird to the remake.
A 1:1 remake is safe but it limits its potential. Modern games are capable of so much more. 3 was an amazing game for its time but not in 2024. Take the foundation of 3 and push it further
@@MediaPhilosophy my guy people would be pissed if the game was changed at all, you need to stop with this "reimagining" bullshit that will just ruin the game
@@MediaPhilosophy Save potential for an actually new entry in to the series, they are gonna NEED a lot of potential if they plan on making anything new in the MGS series.
@@MediaPhilosophy this is true and a reimagining wouldn’t be a bad idea ONLY if Kojima was on board. His die hard fans wouldn’t accept it otherwise and attempting to alter a very delicate and already heavily retconned timeline would be unwise. I like what you say because it does bring up an interesting argument for the game.
Without Kojima helming the series anymore, recreating the original games as faithfully as possible is the best Konami could do. If they tried to move the series forward and add to the lore themselves, fans would reject it. The only ways I could see them making an original game and it not being DOA is if it were a sequel to Metal Gear Rising, or if it were a non-story based multiplayer sandbox sort of game, like Portable Ops+ but on a way bigger scale. The latter would actually be pretty dope. Something with Phantom Pain's gameplay that's like a best of mishmash of the entire series, with tons of playable characters from across the entire franchise. But a proper story-based Metal Gear game? The most I could see them getting away with is expanding on the lore by remaking the MSX games.
I was less excited since it just reminds me of the Yakuza Kiwami games. Just stretch current graphic and gameplay over the old game with the same dialogues and cutscenes. It's like a halfmake, if even that. I would have preferred them to dip their toes fully, and remake it from the ground and up. And if this gets successful, then what stops them from doing the exact same to MGS2 and MGS1(with maybe Twin Snakes audio)? I'd have preferred them remaking the 2 OG Metal Gear games, as a chance for them to find their own voice and identity. (especially since those 2 are 2D graphics) That's me though. If people are excited for this, good for them. And who knows, I might be proven wrong.
The fact is this. Your opinion is the minority, and if they actually changed a bunch of shit, especially things like voice actors and story, there would be a LOT more people upset and screaming about how Konami fucked it up and should have just stayed true to the original game. For instance, look at the vast criticism for Resident Evil 3 Remake. And if you look at the cutscenes, take a look at the majority of people that fucking HATE Twin Snakes because of what they did to those cutscenes. Konami needs to play it safe right now to garner the goodwill of a fanbased scorned, and changing shit looks more like a middle finger from Konami rather than if this series was made by a company like Capcom.
RE3 Remake deff dropped the ball but I am still thankful that it delivered a new experience. I know Kanomi doesn't have a good track record, but how bad could they mess up?
@@MediaPhilosophy Konami hasn’t made a new triple A game in years and have primarily been making remasters and re-releases of old franchises, mobile games, and Japanese slot machines. Until recently, seemingly, they have been against making new games for consoles. So with that, their track record has been pretty shaky to say the least. Last Metal Gear game they made without Kojima was Survive, and the less said about that the better. So right now, they need earn the goodwill of gamers and fans by showing a remake that doesn’t stray too far from the source, to show that the franchise is in good hands before they start messing around with the series.
Their best bet to earn the fans trust and make a profit on Metal Gear is to remind people what it’s all about, with some minor tweaks for modern audiences. Because of this game fails, then we may never see Metal Gear again.
I think a 1 to 1 remske has map issues how does Eva get across the swamp on her motorcycle? How did the gr soklov to that location? When snake sneaks up on Eva in the mountain cabin and you go back to gameplay that room dosnt exist anymore? Little details
One change that I doubt will happen but would really, really appreciate is for the russian soldiers to actually speak russian. I would love to see the soldiers banter in russian in MGS3 like they did in MGS5 and to see Ocelot and Volgin speaking russian. Would really elevate the immersion in my opinion
Technically, they do speak Russian. It's we hear it in English. Sokalov even compliments you on your Russian. If only we could change languages. I'd play it in Spanish
I think you are trying to generate outrage and stir the pot for views bro. The remake looks good, by all accounts. Doesn’t need to be the most mind-boggling, technology-bending godlike experience ever; it just needs to be made with care and love.
I honestly did not purposely try and stir controversy. I was incredibly shocked at this response. But to be fair, I did fumble the ball when it came to explaining myself. And I failed to see the difference between remakes and reimagines. I still stand by what I say. The the original is amazing and still very accessible. Sense I can't foresee us getting any other sort of MGS3 remake anytime soon, I'd prefer they play with the formula before working on either MGS1 or 2.
They did batter remake then the lame resident evil remakes bc half of resident evil remakes content are cut and changed while metal gear solid 3 remake is just like the og -_-
i agree with all of your points, i respect you for standing at this, konami touching the best game of series without kojima, its literally disgraceful, and you are right about "its not a actually a remake" , like imagine temple run on unreal engine, you got my ❤️
Honestly, I hate the remakes of RE for changing vital things. Like shoehorning Mr. X in the first run pretty much makes the 2nd run pointless as you are literally fighting all the same bosses and you add a few extra minutes to your run time for fighting the bonus boss at the end. RE2R feels easier in some ways compared to RE2. The extra pouches reduce trips to the item box and dodging the zombies is a lot easier with these controls than having to rely on the d-pad with tank controls.
Same game brought to new consoles with no changes is a Port Updated graphics on a old game is a Remaster 1 for 1 Remake built from the ground up is a Remake Built from the ground up with story changes is a Reimagine Started franchise over with a new story and no connection to past games is a Reboot People get the word Remake wrong nowadays they said its a MGS3 Remake the name is on the tin if they say its a Remake it means it's gonna be 1 for 1 like it or not
I respect your opinion, but I'll have to disagree. MGS3 was the first game that I played on the Playstation 2. Of course I'm going to be biased here. It is a complete remake through and through. The environments, the cutscenes, core systems, animations, etc. And for the recordings, they don't have to make new ones as they already have the original ones and now they can use them uncompressed (due to the limitations then, they had to compress the audio). They recorded some new lines but you'll hear them only in the gameplay (if I stand correct). Keeping the same charm that the original MGS3 had, is difficult. We don't have to expect major changes, "a reimagine" of the game. This is the point of the remake, and in my humble opinion, it's going to be tremendous. I'll wait for your response to read your thoughts, if you want of course. And I hope you have a good time playing MGS Delta.
I agree with the comment that you're over reacting. The remake hasn't even come out yet and you are making so many assumptions. Take a deep breath brother. Also how are you going to tell people not to buy the remake and play the og when you also claim you are going to buy the remake day one. Like why would I take you seriously when you're on some multi level purist gatekeeping bs 🤨 I love the originals and still play them but this remake looks pretty good and it will be much easier for newer players to get into than the og.
Finally someone expressing my concerns with the remake. I'll probably buy it because I can't help it but I'm pretty much convinced that it is going to be a shitshow. People are exited about it because of the new graphics, but that's exactly what I think will be the main issue with it. This new look won't do the game a favor. The surroundings are too small, the AI too primitive, the dialouges too cheesy for this UE5 visuals. So sad
I've come to accecpt that a lot of people want a 1:1 remake. I'll enjoy it for what it is, but we know what it's going to be. RE3 remake was deffinatley bad. LIke no doubt about it bad because it took reimaging too far. It almost felt like RE3 in name only. I think RE2 and 4 walked the middle ground perfectly. RE2 didn't really lose enemies. It lost lost the zapping system which blows. But in terms of enemies, it lost spiders which... who cares? Spiders are more of a filler enemy than anything. And a that silly easter egg enemy which was honestly a missed opportunity. In my dream MGS3 reimagining, there's a lot of goofy easter eggs.
it's NOT lazy dude, have your ever saw mud falling from character's back, or the character's hair is muddy for entering the mud but in the next scene it's dry? They CAN'T reimagine MGS3, it's story and the storytelling is already PERFECT, and even if they changed it a bit, fans would get REALLY angry for it because it's "disrespecting Kojima's legacy". Trust me, people who don't want the game to change too much is way more than people like you. This is not MG 1-2 or MGS1, it doesn't need a re-imagine, redone voice acting nor changed game design (we all know how that turned up on Twin Snakes). The gameplay and graphics have not aged that well, that's why we are having this remake. Out of the options they had, they are taking the BEST action about MGS3 right now. So, stop whining and try to think the situation on Konami's side (it's called empathy).
They should keep it as it was because everything they touch or make different would be a complete disaster. YOu completly missed the point my friend. Every chance in the game would completly destroy this masterpiece. And on top of that I hope that modding will be easier than peopl can make own side missions in there.
I think your logic is somewhat flawed. You say you want people to experience the same magic you felt 20 years ago, yet you are disappointed that they are getting essentially what you did, only better. Also to call this work lazy is quite insulting I think to the people who are literally rebuilding the entire game from scratch and making it even better in a totally new engine. That’s not lazy, that’s deserving of respect regardless of your take on this being a remake. This is not a remaster at all, man. That’s just an objective fact. Also, having scripted gameplay events like being detected, as you say - completely ruin the gameplay formula that Metal Gear is known for. Everyone has a different approach, and is detected at different times, and in some cases - not at all. This dynamic gameplay loop is essential for MGS’ identity. Also, adding in side elements as found in TPP aren’t feasible here because this is narrative driven, wheras TPP you create the story in your gameplay, moreso. The story has spice already, so it just needs good AI and level design, and MGS3 had for sure at least one of those. This combines those elements in the iconic fashion, and flair we all dreamt of, man. Stalking Raikov and figuring out his movements are cool ideas, but seem to fit a hitman game more than a MGS title at least to my mind, in the way you describe it. Konami certainly seems to be finally getting it right, and I believe that new players will probably love this title as much as you did.
The actually rebuilding of the game does take skill, yeah. But the concept is lazy. No pushing the series further. No trying expand on old concepts. Like, the whole camo system was cool in 2004, but having to press start and naviagting the menus in 2024 is lame. My ideas in the video aren't the end all be all. It's more to just get people thinking about what could have been sense MGS3 had so much to work with
@@MediaPhilosophy well, if their aim is to remake the game 1:1 the intent isn’t really to push the series further. Konami tried that already and it failed. It’s a revival. That’s the creative intent here, and I don’t believe that to be lazy. It’s actually wise, considering Kojima is no longer involved in the making of MGS. A game that needs more of a remake and overhaul in game design, would be Metal Gear Solid. They could do that without changing the story. They can look to ground zeroes for inspiration in recreating Shadow Moses to fit the modern camera, and gameplay opportunities. I think that one specifically may have more potential for the kind of idea you’re thinking of. After all, Konami is testing the waters with this one so the safe bet is the winning one if you want there to be a future for this series. Enjoy what is, rather than wonder what could’ve been. Better yet, look forward to what can still be. Maybe your wish or idea will land on another one, because they are good in the context of the series future, if Delta succeeds.
You said it yourself, you will buy it, so why in all that is fucking holy, are you complaining about it being 1:1, when the og game is why people love this fucking series
I played snake eater and excited for the remake people like you that produce disposable content love to judge actual works positive or negative i implore you rather challenge you to come up with a creative idea not saying a remake is any more creative its just the basis of the critic that always baffles me the most uncreative in the room will always judge
I'm sorry this Metal Gear Delta Remake looks very mid. It's so obviously a cash grab with better graphics. If Hideo Kojima worked on this MGS Delta would have new mechanics like real time inventory and patching like MGSV. A new Engine. Not Just slapping it Unreal Engine 5. Konami should have at least remade MG1 where the problems are more severe.
HArd disagree, about 98 % of Remakes are shit because of "Ideas". Leave it as it is. Dont make anything new. Maybe some new side quests, that dont change anything on the Lore. And thats what about 90 percent of the fans want. Dont include the "new sh*t" please, thats the message. There is a reason why this game was so loved. I want the same for every Remake of MGS they make. Except for V cause it wasnt finish anyway.
I HOPE it's not a remake, i HOPE they don't dare, and if they do i'm here to s*** on it, MGS3 is perfect and cemented Kojima's status as game design royalty to presume some no-name producer at Konami is gonna improve upon it is just pure hubris. Remakes of legendary games are always crap because they set out from the start to do something silly which is fix something that's not broken. Just leave it at a visual remaster
i will just pass this shit konami product, games don’t need better graphics, i’m just playing my ps one again and i stopped caring about graphics, this is only for money, you will not experience anything new with the pachinko graphics
Unpopular opinion coming from a metal gear fan: Kojima isnt god. I mean sure he is the director of most of these games, but the bast majority you see on your screen comes from an incredibly dedicated and talented team that care enough to include all these fine details. There are a lot of people people dont mention that worked in these games and thats a shame. Shitting on Konami isnt the way to take back at them. I'm at a loss for words trying to defend my love for MG. It was the first series I was like hardcore into. In fact, it might be the only series I was ever HARDCORE into. And it's because I love this game and MG as a whole so much that I want more out of it. The pieces are there for the most incredible reimagining in gaming history and people are losing their mind over a game they can basically buy on every console in the last 15 years. So yeah, hate on my idea. Sorry for dreaming. But don't question how my love for MGS
yeah.. like many have said here , you're completely missing the point of this remake. I assure you , the vast majority of the MGS fans are very happy with a 1:1 remake.
I dont get why people are against a 1 for 1 Remake anyway cus that is what a Remake is a 1 for 1
Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3 shouldn't be called Remakes cus they are Reimagine not Remakes
If they changed it people would be way more mad than the people that was upset about the changes in Resident Evil 3 Remake
They cant please everyone and there is only a small minority that want things changed so why bother and it dosnt make sense either if MGS3 is so good why change it more than needed
It's not laziness it's a creative choice so people need to stop calling it lazy just cus it's not what they wanted out of a Remake some people need to go and make there own game and see how well they do if they think Konami is being lazy

Are you talking about that PR puff piece with David Hayter?
I see it like this: Konami is already on the backfoot when it comes to fan approval; the last original MGS game they made without Kojima was a disaster. Them remaking snake eater 1:1 is them saying "look see, we're not messing with your experience/Kojima's vision, we're just gonna upgrade the gameplay and graphics and not touch anything else." They're playing it safe.
Kind of a nitpick, but how you can call yourself a fan and say something about solid snake while having big boss image in the background 7:50
Overall, I think your logic is flawed in this one.
You are over racting
A 1:1 remake is a diservice to MGS. The Snake Eater remake could have been so much more
@@MediaPhilosophy knowing konami this is the best outcome, would you want them to ruin mgs3?
The possibilities are endless
3's setting is the perfect location for a remake.
"To appease the current generation, things need to be altered."
I'm getting real "Made for a modern audience" vibes here.
"I want people who have never played a Metal Gear game to love it."
And you think the best way to do that is not to give new people who've never played it, the same chance to experience what you loved when you were younger?
"The experiences created 20 years ago won't leave a lasting impact today."
Why?
Best comment on here. The fact that the uploader just totally skipped over this comment, and responded to other comments instead, is pretty telling.
This is exactly it Im obsessed with the series but if I wanted to play the same exact game I would play the original. Keep the story the same add to the map make it bigger and create new paths thats would be awesome.
Right just some new things. I should have mentioned that I'd be OK re using the same recordings. Just try and update the map or something
That is my favorite game. I wouldn’t want them to change anything. Honestly they’re doing exactly what I want.
You’re tripping bruh
I agree! There was so much to work with. But Kanomi is going the safe easy route
Nothing has been upscaled. It is being remade from scratch in a new game engine. They are just doing it 1:1 with the old game. Which in my book is good.
Your take is just bad and uninformed. sorry.
Upscaled wasn't the right word. I'm just mourning what could have been
@@MediaPhilosophy what? A fucking mess?

@@MediaPhilosophy *Konami
and yes.

(especially since those 2 are 2D graphics)
That's me though.

I honestly did not purposely try and stir controversy. I was incredibly shocked at this response. But to be fair, I did fumble the ball when it came to explaining myself. And I failed to see the difference between remakes and reimagines.

I think this is fine but I don't think they should remake the 1st game in this way if they do
Honestly, I hate the remakes of RE for changing vital things.
PS2 Snake Eater with ps5 graphics and improved control scheme and gameplay. 10/10 game right there
I would say it's more like a remaster and not a remake. Still exited tho
I guess technically is a remake but it deff feels like a remaster
It's a remake
Konami should re imagine MGS3. Yeah that will go over great with the fanbase that hates them.
Same game brought to new consoles with no changes is a Port
Updated graphics on a old game is a Remaster
1 for 1 Remake built from the ground up is a Remake
Built from the ground up with story changes is a Reimagine
Started franchise over with a new story and no connection to past games is a Reboot
People get the word Remake wrong nowadays they said its a MGS3 Remake the name is on the tin if they say its a Remake it means it's gonna be 1 for 1 like it or not
Big disagree bud, only change I'd want is some areas being "merged", namely the End fight areas
Game recreated = remake. A remake having differences from the original does not make it a remake.

So sad
"Dialogue's too cheesy"

Stupid takes. This remakes made me feel good cause 1:1. Not bad as RE2 Remake which is reimagined things and scrapped enemies.
I don't think I've ever heard so much garbage, you sound like your trying to convince yourself more than us.
it's NOT lazy dude, have your ever saw mud falling from character's back, or the character's hair is muddy for entering the mud but in the next scene it's dry?
Lazy my ass. Think of the pressure the artists are under to replicate MGS God Yoji Shikawas work in a photorealistic style.
The physical act of recreating the game does take skill but the concept of a 1:1 remake is lazy
Yet people act like Kojima is some mystic game maker whose work shall not be touched
agree
You sir, are definitely a shining light, even in death.
@@MediaPhilosophy you're pretty good 👉🏻👉🏻
Thank you for having common sense.
He has none😂😂😂
you're not right
You said it yourself, you will buy it, so why in all that is fucking holy, are you complaining about it being 1:1, when the og game is why people love this fucking series
I played snake eater and excited for the remake people like you that produce disposable content love to judge actual works positive or negative i implore you rather challenge you to come up with a creative idea not saying a remake is any more creative its just the basis of the critic that always baffles me the most uncreative in the room will always judge
I have 2 ideas in this video and had another video about 11 things I'd love added to the remake. What more do you want from me?
Aww, that's not a great take, but you do you I guess.
Too bad for you, i guess
You'll see me hate playing it day 1
I'm going to pretend this video doesn't exist. Smh
i am sad about the game being a 1 by 1 remake, but i think it will still be fun to play, that's what i loved about the other metal gear solid games
i think i beat snake eater 4 times now
I say either completely remaster the game like Halo did or remake the game how Capcom remade resident evil. This middle ground sucks
@@MediaPhilosophy yeah, i think they should call it a remaster
Delta looks emotionless indeed, but its still under development, it will get some life in it for sure
@@liquidsnake6879 and thats exactly what this will be, a visual overhaul, the story will be left intact
It's a remake but mostly 1 to 1
i will just pass this shit konami product, games don’t need better graphics, i’m just playing my ps one again and i stopped caring about graphics, this is only for money, you will not experience anything new with the pachinko graphics
@@tartaruganinjas" wah, wah, i want my nostalgia back, wah" sums up your comment perfectly
Rather you re shitting at a new generation of developers that are passionate and want the series to go on. The hate for Konami has died at this point move on!
This is the most ridiculous rant ever lol.
Walker Scott Perez Jennifer Davis Betty
Just don’t buy it and don’t come with a guide or playthrough when it comes out. Keep this energy But we all know you prolly gonna play it anyway 💁🏽♀️
Exactly, he's being a Karen about the remake for no reason
@@user-John1 he calls himself a fan
These days some content creators have the meaning of fan and Karen mixed up I guess 😂
What I mean for the ppl who think I’m hating
It’s some of these content creators that will push there thoughts of a game on ppl without even knowing much about the game or subject
And yet they feel like they can say silly stuff and still claim to be fans etc
A real fan would not try to destroy a game before its even showed properly 🤷🏽♂️
I already know I'm buying it day 1
I'm at a loss for words trying to defend my love for MG.
Clown take
i disagree
sorry this is legitimately one of the worst takes ever
The only lazy is this video...
zoomer kojima drone he aint made a good game ironically since mgs3
