  • UPDATE 11/11/21: This build is no longer happening but the video is staying up for anyone who may find it interesting.
    Honda CB750 Build - Project Intro And Teardown! That's right another build is beginning with this 1979 model. This will go in a brat / apocalyptic direction with an aggressive stance and knobby tires. Two other builds are nearing completion so it is time to get another build started to eliminate any downtime as other bikes get phased out. In this video I do a partial teardown to get a full assessment of what I have to work with and refine my plans going forward. Stay tuned for this build to get rolling!

    I have an 1980 cb750k and it has spoke wheels so 1979 is probably not the last year for them. But excited you are doing a dohc cb!

      Hmm, I wonder why I had 79 as being the cut off. Some things just become truths if you tell them to yourself enough lol

    It looks like the past owner was going for a cafe racer type bike, but got lost and confused along the way, then gave up. That frame looks totally custom. I doubt I'd even use it, throw it in the dumpster and find a 750 frame from the same model bike. The welding on it is atrocious.

      I just learned by doing. I had to split some cases on a bike and that required removing the transmission components so I just study the function and go from there.

    BJ, too bad your not continuing on this build. I have the same bike. A barn find CB750K with 5k original miles. The bike is all original even the tires. The engine is so clean, you can eat off of it😆😆😆. I’m 50/50 whether to restore it or cafe route. Btw, how many square feet is your warehouse? Thank you for your time.

    • @BrickHouseBuilds
      @BrickHouseBuilds  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This warehouse is 4900 sq ft in the open area but its not mine. I would have liked to do the bike but it just didn't work out unfortunately

      @@BrickHouseBuilds I hope you find another one to do. I have the same bike that I'm really debating what I want to do with it. Always looking for inspiration.

      @@jacobcline4536 well inspiration doesn't have to come from the same bike. Just apply the ideas you like from anywhere. Anything can be inspiration

    Awesome bike, I'd fall off it for sure lol. Do you like spoke wheels?

    • @BrickHouseBuilds
      @BrickHouseBuilds  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank ya lol. We have had some scary falls on that thing! For spokes I guess it depends on what style I'd be after. The cx got spokes because thats an element to set it apart. On this we are working within a budget so swapping wheels and stuff right now is not possible.

    • @BrickHouseBuilds
      @BrickHouseBuilds  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well first confirm you are after the right part by getting the specific part numbers from partzilla, David silver spares, or cmsnl. From there you can search that exact number on google/ebay

    • @BrickHouseBuilds
      @BrickHouseBuilds  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The vin plate up front says what model it is as well as the build date. The cb750 forums are also a good place to decode vins
