So in this discussion we talk about collecting 120 stars, Snowman's Land, Wet-Dry World, Tall, Tall Mountain, Tiny, Huge Island, Tick Tock Clock, Rainbow Ride, and the final fight with Bowser. Would LOVE a Deepest Dive on Mario Sunshine at some point down the line. There are so many cool little details that game that I think makes it a great candidate to dissect on a Deepest Dive level.

I have jumped off the wind part of Tiny-Huge Island and literally fallen to my death with no sign of wind whatsoever. It's cursed.
Love the cast, especially Ronnie. Thanks for doing this. It was my first time playing through Mario 64 and having y’all talk about it made me feel like my 90s middle school lunch room talk.

End Credits music "Staff Roll" is my fav Mario song ever, and it barely even sounds like a "typical mario song" since it isn't a level theme. It was practically composed with the primary ingredient of NOSTALGIA

1:05:55- Rainbow Road is from the best racing series ever, F-Zero (X/GX). It has so many unique and amazing tracks with so many cars in one race, with excellent handling (even at 2000 MPH) , as well as destructible vehicular battles, a great single player mode and a pretty deep custom craft creator as well. (not to mention the entire F-Zero AX arcade game can be found in the F-Zero GX Gamecube game!)
I have come to conclusion I don’t like most of levels. I admire anyone that has the discipline and dedication to 100% a game like this.

I realized during this deep dive that I don't think I have played any level passed the ones in the first episode. I have to ask my sister if she beat the game.

DS version basically throws lives at you and makes things much more forgiving. Really too bad it wasn't included in the collection
Who the hell is playing in the gameplay footage and do they not understand that you can rotate the camera during the last Bowser fight? That was the most frustrating thing I've ever watched 😂

What's the correct order to watch/read the things in. I've wanted to watch it for a while, but would I be ruining it by reading the short story first? Improving it?
1:21:49-A moment of Zen?
The N64 with Mario64 was my first video game system/game. I played World on SNES at my cousins before but this is actually owing the system not having to wait for the next family event. Gotta remember this was a time where if you around 6 years old like I was you didn't get video game info as easily as you do (even if you was older then 6 years old back then) So booting up Mario64 and seeing that big difference from SNES was just mind blowing. Nothing in all my years has recreated that feeling. Only thing close was watching my friend boot up a Day One PS2 and I don't remember what games was out for it first but man seeing those graphics was crazy we thought it couldn't get any better then that. But it didn't really hit as hard as Mario64 did. I think its mainly cause going from 2D to 3D is a bigger deal then making the game look more pretty/movie-like real. I agree that once VR hits that level it promise us it will be the same feeling as going from 2D to 3D

@@IonSquared I think her current, modern voice is just fine. I was just surprised that there were people who found the low pitch 'creepy'.
I do not understand the hate for Hazy Maze Cave.
That first area is a bit of a pain to navigate but I do think once you get into it that it's actually pretty good!
Tiny-Huge Island is by FAR my least favorite and most frustrating level.
In the same camp. I had more trouble with that level than rainbow ride this playthrough.
It's my favorite level in the game! Just don't go to the tiny island much. I didn't die once there on this playthrough but I've played through this game quite a few times.
I’ve always hated that one, it’s the only one I ever really go into with a sense of dread.
Does Ronnie have his own channel? The FF7 stuff was great, but not enough. The world deserves more RonCon.
