I chose to re-route the power to the town, but then convinced the town manager to quit his job and the lady growing the garden became the manager and took her followers back to the town....which seemed like the best ending!
I did the same thing, it's definitely the best outcome.

I did that! Felt shitty about it at first, and only re-routed to the town in the first place simply because Parvati made an impassioned plea about it, then that opportunity to remove Reed and still get a positive outcome for Adelaide and the deserters came up. I had put points into speech to begin with so persuaded Reed to go. And voila, Adelaide and her people return to the town.
Was it though? Adelaide was kind of a POS as well.

The Abernathy medicine quest:
I chose Abernathy but then when he took them off me, he sounded like a junkie that only wanted the meds to get high.
So I then shut the door to his house for some privacy and shot him dead. I then retrieved the meds from his corpse and went out to hand them over to the woman Esther as she told me she would disperse the meds appropriately

Hey Kyle, so that "double jump" is just a forward dodge to close the gap on an enemy with a melee weapon. It unlocked by increasing your defense stat.

Tip: Read your journal! Don't just blindly go to the next quest marker. There are important clues to other missions in there. If you don't want to botch future quests just pay closer attention to what you're doing. This game is not a bunny hop sprint around doing everything you see immediately kind of game. You need to think ahead before to do things. Or you can just run around like a nutjob if you want.... but you will miss a lot of missions and stories.
Also, haven't heard anyone mention the crazy murderous cannibal family in Monarch. I believe the quest is called "The Secret Family" It has a Texas Chainsaw Massacre feel or Resident Evil 7 vibe to it. It's one my favorite side missions so far. You can find this mission in a random (slightly of the path) house on Monarch! Don't miss it!!

Cool idea, there's not enough GROUP post-mortem discussions. I am often pretty disappointed that the 'What we're playing' portion of game podcasts only last like 10 minutes or end just as they're getting good. Do you guys listen to 'Cane and Rinse'? Their episodes about retro games in particular are magnificent.
Can’t wait for part two, first time playing along with you guys but skipped ahead a wee bit. Things only get better with this game.

Regarding the first email written by Camden (sorry if I misspelled it), I had a similar issue with my game audio early on in Emerald vale. It continued even when reloading my saves so I just quit the app and restarted it, which got rid of it. This was on a base Xbox one btw.
I put so much into leadership I never have to shoot. I moved the difficulty up to hard so I'd have to try. Super fun strategy, very OP.
Am I the only person who brought the two communities in Edgewater together, and had them sing kumbaya?
The double jump is actually a Dodge forward, you get it when the block (maybe another one) stat gets to either 20 or 40.
Ah, gotcha. I must not have noticed it connecting to leveling up. Felt like it just appeared, which I thought was weird.
That guy in the tunnel (Guard Pelham) ends up at the police station in edgewater

In Supernova mode you have to take the phobia... you don't have a choice.
I'm interested in seeing the next discussions of this, particularly from Suriel. I was doing the same thing as him, stealing from basically everyone, but using persuade or lie or intimidate so much causes your reputation to go down, which then causes personality traits to go down. Basically, I got to the point where I had negative temperament, which meant I couldn't passively regenerate health AT ALL. And the game never really explains this to you. Luckily, I was able to reload a save from not too far back (an hourish) and made sure my temperament never decreased, but holy shit was I annoyed when this happened. Wonder if the same thing eventually happened to Suriel.
rerouting power to Edgewater and convincing tobson to leave is best option imo. The leader of the deserters is in charge of edgewater
I'm playing on Xbox Gamepass on PC and I had to reload saves several times because of an audio bug where footsteps, reloads, shooting and environment/ambient noises would just go away esp on groundbreaker. One time it just stopped playing dialogue audio and instead just gave me the text.
there was a 3rd option in edgwater when u get the top guy to leave and the lady leader takes over the company there an i the only one who doesnt think using already dead bodies as fert isnt a bad thing/ doesnt make someone bad just intelligent
I have none of the described graphics issues on PC.
I have had an audio issue where all sound except footsteps was out.

Hey Guys, loving the Deepest Dive feature - been looking forward to this since you announced it. I was on the fence about this game, but I'm going to jump into it this weekend. Looking forward to joining in the next Deepest Dive.
Loved this gamer, been too long since i played a similar style game. A bit short, but that means i am playing my second play through, on PS4 Pro btw, no issues at all.
Haven't played yet, but a like and comment for the algorithm, until i watch later :)

Hey team. Good to see yr up and running. Just a few thoughts.
1. Get yourself some intro music stat. Plenty of excellent upbeat public domain stuff out there and it's fun to go through.
2. I miss the table curtain.
3. Not everyone loves Parvati. I forbid her to see her little "infatuation", made her kill her entire home town population because they were "holding her back", and then fired her in the filthy bathroom of an abandoned spaceship.
Just figured out, if you have "robophobia" as a flaw, you're afraid of your own robot companion (you have reduced stats when he's in your party). Also, I highly recommend making a dumb character. Some of the dialog options are hilarious.

I got Reed to step down and then unfortunately by accident killed him.. so all the Talking was basically for nothing and Edgewater just started to fight me..

I have a PS5 now and series x and I never touch my Xbox while PS5 I’m like a kid on Christmas . So many great games and I’ve had not 1 hiccup . Also my standard ps4 ran everything last gen to perfection in fact better then my series s

Game told me I couldn't touch Monarch without the Nav Key from Groundbreaker???
Monarch should be available to you once you leave Edgewater, the planet should be highlighted blue. You can go travel to cascadia but it's not recommended because the path to stellar bay is riddled with lvl 16-19 enemies. If you buy the navkey, you can head straight to stellar bay and avoid that fighting.
I recommend doing all side quests including helping Gladys with the distress call, but save your bits for tinkering your guns and head to monarch once you're lvl 15.
You can holster your gun by holding down Square or R on keyboard

Super stoked for this! I'm not quite on Monarch because doing everything on Terra 2 on Super Nova has been very difficult, but ultimately very fun and satisfying. But as soon as I do land on Monarch I'll definitely be watching this! PS followers on Super Nova suck, so I let the dumb Pat girl die after she got killed like the twelfth time.
I know it’s been two plus years but it’s more relevant than ever: if you enjoyed the decision making, world building, complex companion characters, and all around great modern crpg design please please PLEASE pay Pillars of Eternity 1 and 2! Both on gamepass and PS usually discounted. Not great controller mapping but on Xbox you can just pop a K&M in there and play away. Also for fellow stinking cheaters out there I’m pretty sure even the console versions allow pc style console commands. And at least for me, they don’t detract from what makes the games so phenomenal. Also it appears that they’re next game, Avowed will take place in the same world. Play them! It’s never too late! Also they’re (relatively) short rpgs!

I thought the choice was brilliant. I didn’t feel like I was siding with the corporation at all. I was siding with the townspeople and the future of the area. Edgewater has walls and a landing pad. It’s easier to build a future for the people assigned there. I wasn’t going to harm the safety of the entire area because of a dispute between two leaders. It’s not fair to the rest of the people there.
I initially sided with the Botanical Lab and was going to flip the switch until Parvati gave me her opinion. It made me think. So I went and spoke with both Reed and Adelaide before making my final choice.
I discovered that Adelaide was insanely bitter about what Reed had done. I went to confront Reed about it and felt pity for him. I could tell he was having a really hard time having to make those choices of who gets medicine and who doesn’t. Adelaide was so focused on the loss of her son and not on the difficult choice that Reed had to make. What if it was give medicine to the doctor of the town or her son? The choice for any leader would be simple - you go with the doctor. But it would still have pissed Adelaide off.
It was then that I realized that Adelaide was too spiteful for me to destroy the town for. Parvati was right.
In the end, I sided with Reed but asked him to leave. He graciously accepted once he found out that she could heal the sick and grow food. He didn’t seem like the good guy but he was.
And that’s the beauty of this game. There are no good guys or bad guys but all shades in between. I picked the town and it’s people, not Spacer’s Choice. The corporation just benefited from the decision I made.
Doing a legit playthrough first. Then I'll play as a complete psycho bc why not.

I was interested in what you guys said about character creation. Where one of you said it wasn’t worth it and only changed your hair. Cyberspunk is going to be that but 10 times worse, since they have said the character creation is deep. I don’t get why games do like this have this feature. It’s a waste of time and and feature. CDPR trying say that the first person brings more immersion but what’s more immersive then having a character you spent time to create and see that character in the game.
I don’t think everyone wants Outer World size games. AC has fast travel all over the place and landmarks especially. I mean Greedfall was a small open before this. What a lot people don’t seem or get is a game like AC Odyssey is one open map. OW is multiple smaller maps. I think there are people who like huge open world games like AC and ones who don’t. If you are tired or don’t want to play 50+ hour games then don’t. Buy games like OW. I mean if you main line OW you can beat it less then 20 hours. Maybe even 15 hours.
