75% of flood damaged vehicles could be saved If the insurance companies would take care of the moisture issues right after the incident but instead they send them to auction yards where they sit for months and years on end slowly deteriorating to the point it’s cost prohibited to fix them.
DUDE! That Holley carb is 100 times the Edelbrock carb your friend just soaked you for. I have the same engine and carb in my 1990 Supra Sunsport and it runs flawlessly! If you want EFI, look at the Holley Marine Sniper EFI system. Its what I want to run on my boat. Good deal on the Moomba though! Cant wait to see it done! Side note, the V-Drive is best for surf/wake board and direct gives you a flatter wake for slalom skiing. SOBs pop right up out of the water. Your Moomba wont ride like that Mastercraft though. The hulls are SO different! You will have more bow rise in your Moomba vs the MC but will most likely have the better ride in rougher water due to its deeper V hull.
Wrong… An Edelbrock is a perfect choice for a non carb guy. Bolt on and run. The 750 Holley is too big for that motor. Boats are generally full throttle or idle. With a Holley you need to tune it, adjust it, spank it, jet it. The Edelbrock will just work out of the box and stay reliable. Especially with an electric choke. On a car I am racing, go Holley. On a boat…….anything but.
@@thirdcargarage2951 I could not agree more. I have that same Edelbrock on my 1959 Chris Craft with a 5.0l v8 and that thing has been bulletproof and dirt simple to set up. The Holley's are fine for racing- but getting the jetting right, selecting the right power valves, and so on and so forth is a complete PITA and not worth it in a marine application. And yeah- the electric choke just works which is great.
Ground wire is for the fuel filler deck plate (metal) to connect to the take and then connect to the common ground on the boat. This is to discharge any static electric charge build up on those metal parts which can be be dangerous when you are refueling. 1 small spark/arc + gas fumes = BOOM! Like seeing you do boat rebuilds, pretty cool stuff. I have done my own too, but mine was opposite of yours, exterior was in great shape, interior was rotten to the core. It was a total gutting of the boat and rebuilding.
Use Lysol toilet bowl cleaner on the stained white haul. Smear that blue crap all over the stains wait 15min and wash. bright white after but be sure to wax because it slightly etches the gel coat.
Heck ya another boat rebuild! So stoked to see this boat go from trash to really good! And that price made me laugh 😂. That awesome you got it for that price.
Zep Orange clean and a kitchen sponge will clean up those seats like a charm. A bit of water and using the rough side of the sponge will clean the vinyl seats like a charm.
Do you happen to have a wiring diagram for your Maristar?? I just bought a 2006 Mastercraft Maristar 200VRS and I need to redo the wiring, and can’t find a diagram to go off of! Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated!! Love the videos!!
Green wire on a boat indicates it is part of the bonding system. Bonding is closely related to cathodic protection and simply refers to the electrical interconnection of metallic objects (such as shafts, rudder stocks, struts, etc) that remain in common contact with water to protect against galvanic and stray current corrosion. Bonded metals are connected to an anode, which is a source of cathodic protection. Electrical resistance between an anode and bonded metals receiving protection from a cathodic protection system should be kept to a minimum and not exceed one Ohm.
the rack you used to tie the nose of the boat to is there to help prevent a load falling over backwards. You will be a lot better off tying it off to the mast itself if you insist on lifting boats this way.
They have a edit conversion kit for that little expensive but well worth it more power better throttle response and quick starts just all around better set up. I think it is Holley sniper Eli kit.
Your fuel pump is on the engine. Almost positive I can see it at 10:55 on the right side of the engine (left as you look at it). Common carburetor stuff because you only need 6 to 10 lbs of fuel pressure.
Ski boat in a boat dock on a lift durring a major snow and ice storm makes for a bad mix . Somewhere there was a lake loaded with ski boats on lifts in docks durring a snow and major ice storm . The used maket is loaded , or was with all the boats .
Come on y’all carbs ain’t that bad are they? Not like you drive your boy to work. I’m old school to a fault but I’d take a Holley 750 anyway over some Mickey Mouse throttle body kit
Moomba in Australian Aboriginal language means “ celebrating together” Here in Melbourne, we celebrate Moomba on the 2nd Monday of March. It’s also labour day! Just incase you didn’t know what Moomba meant.✨✨👍👍👍🇦🇺🇦🇺
Fuck that. Keep the carburetor. Simple. Easy. Can fix it out on the water if something happens. I’ve towed in countless boats that were fuel injected that had issues, with my 1963 Glen l with a 283 and a 4bbl Carter carb. Mines never given me in issue in over 20 years.
The fuel pump is on the ENGINE .BUT YOU KNOW EVERYTHING just like I can get parts for that engine for a 1/4 of price what mercruiser charges but you already know that it took me 35 years to learn my tricks unless were friends your on your own I will give you one free tip its $21 for a rebuild kit for that carburetor
Unfortunately carbureted? That’s a plus. Less shit to go wrong. If that thing was fuel injected and neglected like that you’d have all kinds of issues. Carbs are easy to fix.
Save the money skip the tower thats a ski boat and folks will pay for the pureity of a direct drive ski boat. Roll the Maristar for surfing and wakeboarding.
Ur neighbor is full of it that Holley is one the best carbs to have also easy to rebuild. 💯 better then any edlebrock. That motor won’t preform s good with a 650 on it.
75% of flood damaged vehicles could be saved If the insurance companies would take care of the moisture issues right after the incident but instead they send them to auction yards where they sit for months and years on end slowly deteriorating to the point it’s cost prohibited to fix them.
Yeah, you're right. Such a shame...
Honestly just seems like that’s the plan all along. Makes for great YT content though
I believe it’s more cost effective, hence the just throwing vehicles away.
Heck yea!!! Love to see a good budget build!!! Shows everyone anything is possible!!!
I have a 2001 outback, its my first boat, put a lot of work into it and it runs so good.
Glad you found another one! With boat prices through the roof you have a couple gold mines there with both of those things!

Thats Some Bonus Footage Bro glad that strap held LOL
Awesome! Can’t wait to see the final product. A 2001 Moomba for $5,000. That’s incredible!
425$
Love the boat rebuilds. Glad to see another one!
LOVE YOUR PROJECTS, Texas is the holly place for boats, wish live there :)
Love seeing these wake boat rebuilds. Keep doin em
Rebuilding carbs is not difficult and I enjoy it,it relaxes me.
Great to have you back!! Glad your working on another boat.

Keep these boat rebuilds going 🤙. It’s definitely motivation to get my boat going. Subbed!!
Great to watch you back in business.
Another boat rebuild! glad to see it :)
Hope to see you again at Sunset Marine Tx in Alvin for a windshield. The one you purchased for your previous boat rebuild worked out well.
Glad to see you back on the tube bro love the boat builds hope this baby works out
My summers looking good with more vids from you man.
You should check with skiers choice I believe they used to have a life time warranty on all there gel coat . Might be worth looking into
Keep the boat rebuilds coming, would love to see a destroyed jet ski build
What are you going to do for the windshield?
Glad to see more boat content!

Any updates? Love your boat rebuilds:)

Efi dam iPad spell correct lol
West marine boat clean and you have an amazing bargain boat
Boat rebuilds are my absolute favorite!! @rebuilderguy, can’t you do a Holly EFI Sniper kit?
Can't be run on a marine engine, unfortunately. No spot for the O2 sensor in the marine manifolds.
Who makes the windshield??!???? I need one for mine
Your fuel pump is on the engine. Almost positive I can see it at 10:55 on the right side of the engine (left as you look at it). Common carburetor stuff because you only need 6 to 10 lbs of fuel pressure.
What is your windshield gus name? I'm looking for a windshield for a 1991 Ski Supreme. Hard to find parts for older ski boats. Like the boat builds!
Is the ground for the stern white navigation light?
The fuel pump should be on the engine (right side passenger) front mechanical pump if it has a carb on it ( I know it does )
I am sure you can sell the boats fast and for a good price this year, there is less of everything, campers, boats, trucks etc👍
I DID miss you. More content please for I'm loving these videos!
Nice to see you back!
Nice find, I love my Moomba!
Any update on this build. You gonna sell it ? Maybe interested
"Carb" guys who can't tune carbs
-Holley's are junk buy an edlebrock 🤣🤣
Was just thinking that lol
Edlebrock is good, but that holley is gonna out perform it if he took the time to rebuild it
What auction house do you look at these boats through?
One restore would make it look brand new no painting
Ski boat in a boat dock on a lift durring a major snow and ice storm makes for a bad mix . Somewhere there was a lake loaded with ski boats on lifts in docks durring a snow and major ice storm . The used maket is loaded , or was with all the boats .
Budget builds are the boats whose hulls develop unexpected leaks as the bottom gelcoat/fiberglass breaks off 2 miles off shore.
How come you didn’t want the plexi glass windows? Wouldn’t it reduce weight but still have the same look?
Boats are the best rebuild
Works toilet bowl cleaner from Walmart will clean the discoloration/stains from the hull. Spray it on wait 2 minutes and hose it off.
What ever happened with this boat ???
‘I’m gonna do some sketchy shit, do-da - do da. Hope I get away with it…’ 🤣👍
For around 650.00 you could put fuel injection on it.
Not true at all bro
Fiteck fuel injection.
What about the o2 sensors bro I have 5 boats I’ve looked into in it about 1000 to 1200 for everything you need
@@jmudd5449 lol it’s like 1000 and it doesn’t have the risers
Come on y’all carbs ain’t that bad are they? Not like you drive your boy to work. I’m old school to a fault but I’d take a Holley 750 anyway over some Mickey Mouse throttle body kit
I have a question… what are your opinions on rebuilding a newer boat? Like 2016 plus?
i love the watsup watsup intro...
Is there a part 2 yet?
Did you ever sell the master craft??
Yep, I've missed you, great channel
Have you still got the nautique?
shoulda just got a holley sniper efi. can get a used one for like $500-600
Same exact windshield used by Bayliner
Good bye carb time for a Holley sniper and an MSD ignition better than factory after that
Where do you go to look for these auctions I am very much so intersted
That wire has to go to fuel cap assembly
I second this comment. Green ground wire to fuel cap assembly.
What happened? what color is it? Is it running and on the water yet? how much did everything cost... DON'T LEAVE US HANGIN' BRO!
I'll take the holley carb if your going to trash it
16:50 is the most terrifying thing i've ever seen
I was given a 1990 Brendella ski boat shell last Sunday. ya want it?
Do you sell the boats off after fixing them? If so I’d be interested in getting one
I wait and looking forword to see you a next Clip?
What part of Texas? I would love to come help and be part of these boat rebuilds
Man you Love your Boats but if they make a Profit its all good Pleased you back at it again missed you lol
How much would you sell the mastercraft for?
Boat rebuilds are my favorite. Do you still have the nautique?
Put a Holley EFI kit on it
Do they make them for boats would love to know?
Where are you going to put the O2 sensors?
It would be really cool to see you put a modern fuel injected v8 in for a budget and show how it’s done
Fuck that. Keep the carburetor. Simple. Easy. Can fix it out on the water if something happens. I’ve towed in countless boats that were fuel injected that had issues, with my 1963 Glen l with a 283 and a 4bbl Carter carb. Mines never given me in issue in over 20 years.

Is the mastercraft for sale!!?
Love this ones bro!! Hell yeah
You Did Good
when is the next update?
Unfortunately carbureted? That’s a plus. Less shit to go wrong. If that thing was fuel injected and neglected like that you’d have all kinds of issues. Carbs are easy to fix.
Cant believe noone bothered to buy it for the engine alone...
Really enjoyed the video. It seems strange to me that a boat would sink! Looking forward to it’s rebirth!
What is the song you use in the intro?
Why not wrap it?
✌️😉
Good price! 👍
Did it hurt having those tattoos done?
No doubt there is broken glass and crap under that cap keeping it from going back down.
Save the money skip the tower thats a ski boat and folks will pay for the pureity of a direct drive ski boat. Roll the Maristar for surfing and wakeboarding.
What a bummer 10 months without an update
Are you from Texas?
What's the name of that song in your intro
that green wire attached to all the metal parts should be grounding out to a sacrificial anode to prevent corrosion of all those metal parts
Ur neighbor is full of it that Holley is one the best carbs to have also easy to rebuild. 💯 better then any edlebrock. That motor won’t preform s good with a 650 on it.
Its been over a year do you have another channel or do a yearlong break between videos ? Hard to keep an audience when you dont post updates
About time!!!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
It has a holly carb that's good
