I love the mushrooms, very delicious. I also have carrots in my vegan pho with hot sauce and freshly squeezed lemons. Awesome job on making this vegan pho video.👍
Thank you for having English and Chinese! This is really helpful for my faimily. My mother-in-law and I can enjoy cooking together and not have to worry about misunderstandings!
love this more and more. But a small suggestion, I know these are dishes which are to be made the same. I am from India, so most of the ingredients are not available at all. So please tell some alternatives like easily available substitutes for such. Please make more rice items also.
That's the best beyond best vegan pho I have ever seen.
wow, thanks so so much, Tiffanie!! :-)

Thanks so much, great suggestion. I do provide some alternatives, if any on my blog. Appreciate your suggestion. Thank you!
You can just replace all the spices with Chinese 5 spice powder, that's how I do it. I save on time and effort in sourcing ingredients. 💗
wow I'd eat this immediately
perfect for any weather. :-)
My favorite soup, thank you. PHO CHAY!!!
me too, I love them, thanks to my friend who share his insights on how to make them. :-)
good. thank you
Thank you so much!
anything I can use instead of jicama? I'm from the UK and can't find it anywhere!
Is it important to cook the noodle in its own pot? Or can one add them direct to the broth?
Hi Nick, yes, I prefer that because I want to keep my pho broth clear. Some noodles will have starch and affect the broth.
@@WoonHeng Thanks! Cant wait to make this tomorrow...
Thanks for the recipe. Can you suggest how to make use of the strained vegetables?
hi there, since I have a compost bin, I actually compost mine. :-)
@@WoonHeng why compost it when it can be eaten...
@@madhumathims6624 of course you can, I need some for my compost bin as well. :-)
@Woonheng it look delicious but I can’t eat apple or onions! Is there a substitute? Thanks 🙏 🥰
You can change apple with pear
Hi woonheng, yo soup must be so flavourful for real 😋, just a lil thing I noticed, how about garlic??
Hey Sait, the original recipe my friend taught has no garlic, so I didn't add some but I bet roasted garlic tasted great in soup too. :-)
@@WoonHeng thank youu🤗
❤❤❤
What is umami seasoning ?
Mushroom seasoning
the one she used is called “yondu”
Yum
thanks so much!
👍👍👍
😘😘
aside from the lack of meat flavor, how does this broth differ from the beef? is it more sweet?
Hi Jennifer, it's only a tad sweetness, I would say more umami with all the roasted spices and veggies.
@@WoonHeng thanks so much for the responce!
Cassia bark is bad for you, use actual cinnamon
thanks for sharing! :-)
Too many sweet ingredients and rock sugar as well
Thanks a lot, my recipe is always adjustable.
