Money cannot replace the first four years of love from a mother and father. A nanny may or may not love you, may, or may not even be kind to you. But during the first four years of a child’s life, if they are given a good foundation of love from a mother and father, makes all the difference in emotional health later in life. She was lucky to be wealthy, no telling where her broken emotions might have taken her if she were poor.
And yet parents abdicate their infants and young children to daycare, pre-k, nannies, and babysitters😢. And spend a few mere moments of short hours with them.

Great video with lots of information was aware of when it come to the Mountbatten. Again nice music and a nice voice when it come to narration. Unfortunate if she found a live at the end of her life.. and to die so young.
The Queen mother also thought that, she did not like how quickly Louis went from being great friends to the Edward the VIII to trying to get close to her husband as well as him being instrumental in the marriage of Phillip to Elizabeth. He was also very close to Charles; had Mountbatten not died it is very likely Charles would have married Mountbatten's granddaughter. Although Diana had known Charles since she was a child, it was at Mountbatten's funeral where she made a remark that sparked their future romance. At Lord Mountbatten's funeral, Lady Diana Spencer reportedly said to Prince Charles, "You looked so sad when you walked up the aisle at Lord Mountbatten's funeral. It was the most tragic thing I've ever seen. My heart bled for you when I watched. I thought, 'It’s wrong, you’re lonely-you should be with somebody to look after you.'
I believe in telling the story of the individuals not in judging their character. I believe I can present the events, and viewers are intelligent enough to make up their own minds on the people involved, rather than me telling people what they should or should not think. Sorry to disappoint you.
The problem with having huge amounts of money and lots of social opportunities, be it High Society in the 20's and 30's UK or modern US actors and musicians, is that you push the boundaries, get comfortable, and then have to push the boundaries even further ..... And on, and on, it goes. It becomes a striving to find a fulfilment that never actually is found .....

Yes !! Did they have a physical relationship?? Don't know. Montbatten married her money, knowing he would have to look away. She did too. Some couples work like that. There are many things that are interesting, including how Nehru's family viewed the relationship which I would like to touch on. Be patient with me:)
That is an interesting account of the life of Edwina Mountbatten, it shows her in an equally good and bad light, I can to an extent understand her promiscuity in her younger days, it must be very tempting to indulge yourself, when you have all the cards stacked so completely in your favour. She had a good life and towards the end she at least gave a little back by way of her work for the less fortunate.
Wonder if anyone told Edwina that only Jesus can fill an empty life and heart ! Cause all her affairs, jewellery,,trips around the world ,and money didn’t….
I really enjoyed this video. She was really quite an accomplished woman and past info I read of her only focused on her affairs. For a woman, at this time in history, it’s fascinating that within the confines of her status she was always searching for purpose and true love. She was way ahead of her time in that she lived her life as she wanted. It reinforces my thought that a woman should always be the mistress of her own destiny! I’ve subscribed and look forward to other videos.
Sure, I touched on it. But the focus of the video is her, and scandalous is more about how society viewed her, rather than actual scandal. My focus however on this channel at least for now is more on the lesser known stories, and Dicke's story is rather more well known.
For some reason I can't explain, I have never thought of Lord Louis Mountbatten as having been married with children. I only ever thought of him as KCIII's beloved Uncle.
It is a proven fact that a chosen boy was delivered directly from Kincora state run orphanage. In Belfast to The rial owned Classiebawn castle for his paedophile needs on a regular basis And he was very arrogant to think he would be overlooked when he stayed there in Co Sligo in the midst of a civil war in Northern Ireland not at all protective of his family and the young local boy aboard
Omg ! I don’t know why , but Edwinas’ Complex life , and Scandalous Affairs’ reminds me of another v Famous ,and referred by many as ‘Iconic’ Figure of Royal Family ‘ whos’ life tragically ended in an horrible Car Chase Accident , away from her Kids..🙂
I don't know how the loss of an uninterested mother could be much of a tragedy, unless it was the loss of the possible opportunity to get to know her mother. Or to have her mother get to know her.
Even the extremely wealthy, despite spending so much time disconnected from their parents in early childhood, want to have a positive emotional connection to their parents. Certainly, losing your mother at age 11 is terrible. It doesn’t matter how lavish your nest is…
Wow, what a woman! I had no idea she’d done so much and was so progressive, especially for a British royal. I’d heard horrible things about her husband tho.
Edwina's childhood was pretty "normal" for an aristocratic, or royal family. Parents weren't "hands on" & rarely spent much time with their children at all (unless for "photo opportunities"). The children were brought up by nannies & tutored at home, or shuffled off to private, boarding schools. The children themselves then went on & repeated their own parents lack of hands on parenting skills. Aristocratic & royal couples often entered "arranged marriages" with others of like "class". Once the "heir & a spare" was produced, both partners were free to have "discreet" affairs. Often these men would enter an affair with a married woman. As this was considered "wise" if a woman "fell pregnant". If the married, or unmarried woman did have a child, said men would honour their (acceptable) bastards, by becoming their Godfathers. Lois Mountbatten was gay. It was such an "arranged marriage" as afore mentioned. More recently, the Queen's children: 1st born: Charles: Married, commited adultery, 2 sons, divorced, remarriage with his former mistress, Camilla. NOTE: Camilla was his (married) long term mistress before (inclusive of the night before his marriage to Diana), during & after his marriage to Diana. For aristocratic men, having their wife "rogered", by a royal prince, that would one day become a king was actually quite an accolade. 2nd born: Anne: Married, Son & a daughter, commited adultary, divorced, remarried 3rd born: Andrew: Married, 2 daughters, cuckolded, divorced, his wife still resides with him 4th born: Edward: Gay, arranged marriage, son & daughter 😳
My opinion does not matter but I did not like this woman at all. Never heard of her. She could have left a great legacy with all the wealth her daddy left her. Pity.

what a whitewash both of them where abusing children
Explain what the word whitewashing means and what I left out of their story. I make videos that tell the facts as I believe viewers such as yourself are capable of making their own moral judgements rather than hearing mine in the video. I am not interested in telling people what or how to think but on telling the stories from a neutral view. Your opinions and criticisms of their character or any of my facts are welcome. Debate and discussion is how we learn.
Enjoyed this video very much. Thank you.
She should have put her children first.
Neither of her parents cared about her and she didn't learn how to be a parent but she could have tried. That would have given her life purpose.
@@mbmochinskiI think all the expensive gift was probably her way of trying, there is no mention off abuse, I'm sure she thought she was doing just fine compared to her elitist friends, as they all raised their offspring this way, and probably still do
@@barbaraknowles2713the abuse was in the emotional neglect and the absence of love from selfish self absorbed unavailable parents if you could even call them that…..nasty wealthy people,,,,
WHAT WOULD YOU THINK OF THEM IF THEY HAD NOT HAVE MONEY, FAME, AND ROYAL TITLES?
Would you have clicked on the video if they didn't have 'MONEY, FAME , AND ROYAL TITLES?' Stop virtue signalling. Edwina slept around, OK, she also did many great things, what have you done? Other than complain about other people and their lives on YT?
Exactly. People who fawn over these reprobates really annoy me.
Least she had money and privilege to assist her. Imagine all those poor women living in poverty, with abusive husbands, and lots of children. They’re the heroines!
@@JenLevyou just virtue signaled 😂
@@HeathertheGreat_ I don't know what that means. Can you explain?
Well researched and narrated. Edwina will be remembered with affection by all those who saw her selfless service during the bloody chaos of the partition of the Indian subcontinent. She is not to be blamed for the tragedy of partition, but the selfish politicians from India and Pakistan and the British policy of divide and rule.
It's well known in these circles the lack of sexual morality. Marriage to them was an image all had affairs often.
Wealthy has never brought happiness to no human being in this exciting world, and never be through out creation! Only God can give peace and happiness which no other can! Peroid
she was years ahead of society,,but still found emotional happiness, very tragic how ot all ended.
she was debauched and ridiculous. ....her triviality and adultery!!!
@@simarjitkaur3411it amazes me how some people appear to admire these shallow people. Maybe the wealth skews their assessment.
@@jaijai5250princess Margaret is admired "for being ahead of society" as alcoholic and smoker by liberal Indians.
Beautifully done. I'm subscribing!
Thanks for joining.
Great video with lots of information was aware of when it come to the Mountbatten. Again nice music and a nice voice when it come to narration. Unfortunate if she found a live at the end of her life.. and to die so young.
I always thought that Mountbatten was trying to undermine Queen Elizabeth and trying to take power from her. He wanted to be king.
I thought, 'It’s wrong, you’re lonely-you should be with somebody to look after you.'
or queen,surely?
Thank you for this story
Glad you enjoyed it!
I just subbed. I really enjoy your content. I especially liked your video on Nancy Cunard. Thank you!
Love eluded Edwina. Her love did not extend to her husband or her own or children, & she struggled with this pain.
♥️♥️♥️
This was a very forgiving portrayal of Lady Mountbatten, she was spoiled, egotistical, a sorryful mother and of very low moral character.
Diana.
Soooo true 🤮
I believe in telling the story of the individuals not in judging their character. I believe I can present the events, and viewers are intelligent enough to make up their own minds on the people involved, rather than me telling people what they should or should not think. Sorry to disappoint you.
Well said. Facts, not personal opinions and judgement, are rare in documentaries these days. Please continue in this vein.
@@MythicMindScape21 no disappointment. It’s just that the royal get away with a great deal.
Fantastic! Thank you’
The problem with having huge amounts of money and lots of social opportunities, be it High Society in the 20's and 30's UK or modern US actors and musicians, is that you push the boundaries, get comfortable, and then have to push the boundaries even further ..... And on, and on, it goes. It becomes a striving to find a fulfilment that never actually is found .....
I turn 58 this year. Atta Girl my lovely Lady Edwina! I wish I was half as brave and bold as you God bless and I hope you found peace and fulfillment. ❤ 😘
Lol. She sounds like a tramp.
Bold and brave? She was a terrible mother and a whore. Poor little rich girl.
I’ll be 56 soon and I am SHOOK by the appearance of Edwina at 58! She looked more like 78.
@@AnneCaulder I agree! A fast life doesn’t leave a pretty corpse but it looks like she had fun
@@AnneCaulderOMG. For all the wealth and privilege she had, she really looked haggard, and aged. Just imagine, with all that money, that’s the best she could look!
I think she just lived her life on her own terms. Egocentric, selfish, hedonistic, a pure product of her time, class and wealth which allowed her all the caprices she wanted! Did she love Nehru ? Yes !! Did they have a physical relationship?? Don't know. Montbatten married her money, knowing he would have to look away. She did too. Some couples work like that. Look at V Sackville West and H Nicolson.
Nice words.
Pls, a more detailed one on Edwina Nehru Mountbatten if possible. It would be very enlightening as a lot of it is not let to come out in public in'by I. N.d..i. a
I'd love to, but given the size of my channel. It is difficult, I promise though in future I will do a longer one on her once I have enough subscribers and people who might be interested in hour long deep dives.
AMEN ✨💛🙏💛✨
I really enjoyed this video. She was really quite an accomplished woman and past info I read of her only focused on her affairs. For a woman, at this time in history, it’s fascinating that within the confines of her status she was always searching for purpose and true love. She was way ahead of her time in that she lived her life as she wanted. It reinforces my thought that a woman should always be the mistress of her own destiny! I’ve subscribed and look forward to other videos.

Fascinating overview, significant content covered in a brief presentation, excellent overall. Thank you.
Thank you :)
Dickie was a creep of incredible breadth and depth and the best job the lads ever did was . . .
Excellent storyteller. Congrats 🎉
Glad you enjoyed it!
I met her once. She was very supportive of the St John's Ambulance and I walked her through an award ceremony.
And what about the “scandalous life” of Dicki Mountbatten?
Sure, I touched on it. But the focus of the video is her, and scandalous is more about how society viewed her, rather than actual scandal. My focus however on this channel at least for now is more on the lesser known stories, and Dicke's story is rather more well known.
What an unpleasant woman
For some reason I can't explain, I have never thought of Lord Louis Mountbatten as having been married with children. I only ever thought of him as KCIII's beloved Uncle.
So interesting thank you
It is a proven fact that a chosen boy was delivered directly from Kincora state run orphanage. In Belfast to The rial owned Classiebawn castle for his paedophile needs on a regular basis And he was very arrogant to think he would be overlooked when he stayed there in Co Sligo in the midst of a civil war in Northern Ireland not at all protective of his family and the young local boy aboard
There are many instances that document his actions with small boys; it is covered well in the book 'The Mountbattens'
Omg !
I don’t know why , but Edwinas’ Complex life ,
and Scandalous Affairs’ reminds me of another v Famous ,and referred by many as ‘Iconic’ Figure of Royal Family ‘ whos’ life tragically ended in an horrible Car Chase Accident , away from her Kids..🙂
I really love your videos. And you sound just like Charlize Theron. (Great for ASMR when falling asleep too!) ❤
Thank you! 😊
This is first team i have came across you content

More recently, the Queen's children:
1st born: Charles: Married, commited adultery, 2 sons, divorced, remarriage with his former mistress, Camilla.
NOTE: Camilla was his (married) long term mistress before (inclusive of the night before his marriage to Diana), during & after his marriage to Diana. For aristocratic men, having their wife "rogered", by a royal prince, that would one day become a king was actually quite an accolade.
2nd born: Anne: Married, Son & a daughter, commited adultary, divorced, remarried
3rd born: Andrew: Married, 2 daughters, cuckolded, divorced, his wife still resides with him
4th born: Edward: Gay, arranged marriage, son & daughter 😳
Thanks, and Greetings.
Don't think Prince Edward is gay his marriage is the only one that has lasted
My opinion does not matter but I did not like this woman at all. Never heard of her. She could have left a great legacy with all the wealth her daddy left her. Pity.
👍😤
Your opinion is equally as valid as anyone’s else’s. She was an awful, self absorbed woman.
