Ibrecently wasted a lot of money buying super long hdmi cables only to learn the signal drops out completely at 20 ft . So then i got really long ethernet cables and the converter plugs . This set up works although only tested 1 obsbot tail air at 75 ft so far. So what does NDI DO exactly?? If u dont havevtime i get it , feel free to send me somewhere else 😅
I added both mics as sources in OBS Studio. The Obsbot mic is an NDI source. In this recording I recorded them both on different tracks so I could easily switch between them in post.

I will work, but I would probably go for a wider shot of the entire field rather than trying to capture individual players, or tight shots (I shoot high school football and basketball for a living). If you were to put this camera in a press box and frame your shot on the entire field, it would probably be just fine. As far as adding a scoreboard overlay, the Yolobox line of products are able to do that, and also handles streaming, so you could combine this with a Yolobox, or go with a different camera (or multicam) setup for your needs. Alternatively, you could look into scene building in OBS Studio (which will require a dedicated streaming pc/laptop) to handle your scoreboard.
yeah same. i was gonna get the tiny2 and then saw this cam on kickstarter and thought why no- but the video quality loos poor in comparison to tiny2 that he's using so im gonna pass on this
@@gerigame2995 yeah, that's really too bad. I bought an old, used Huawei P40 Pro, and it has an amazing camera AND it can do NDI at 4K :O Now I just need a remote pan-tilt head and I'm all set. I don't need that fancy AI tracker.
@@lit2021 I don't know about NDI, buy I use my phone currently as my webcam, I use it with IRIUNCam app, which I paid a one time fee and can access 4k on my phone- use it wireless or wired. When using my pc. But there are a few streaming apps I have and one of them let u have multicam support, so for example my webcam and. My phone as a webcam I can link up or use a cam link. But I do understand the Need some for something like this new device if it's outdoors and u are going live and want different camera angles. A adventure content creator who travels the world can do with this new one. It's a shame the quality looked poorer and having to manage it with the phone app while the colours are off are not good/reliable. Hope they fix that..
Our church is looking to upgrade our cameras and streaming setup. Currently, we have two Sony PTZ cameras that are quite old and only give us 720p and we hope to replace them with four that have 4k and NDI capability. I'm confused by what NDI can do. Is it a wired connection or a wireless connection? We're thinking we should use SDI for 3 cameras and have the 4th connected wirelessly because it will move around the premises. Am I completely wrong about how all this works? (I'll play the age card for sympathy and say that I'm 70 and not an idiot about tech stuff but there are limits and I feel like this is one of them for me.)
NDI works wired or wireless. The Obsbot Tail Air would be great for your situation if you're using OBS. Switchers like the Atem Mini Pro don't currently have NDI capabilities. Some bigger versions do have it and devices like the Yolobox Ultra have NDI support. Having SDI is good but it's still cabled, having the option of moving a camera around to other locations and having that video delivered wirelessly is super convenient. Imagine having a camera mounted from the ceiling and this camera has a small frame, and using the AI to track the pastor as he/she moves around the pulpit during a service. Price everything out and pray on it.

Can I charge my tail air using only PoE port? without using usb c power cable?
the quality is pretty disappointing :( I thought 4K downscaled to 1080p would look better.
