This still costs less than a DSLR and capture card combined, and the quality is easily 90% as good. If this had been around when I was DSLR shopping, I would have gotten this instead. The versatility of function gives you something you can use anywhere.
I’ve been very curious about this since I first saw the Kickstarter for it last fall, so I’m glad it looks like it’s turned out really good.
I’m very interested in learning more about its tracking features in a sporting environment as I work in post-secondary athletics (I was actually in the market for a NDI/PTZ camera when its Kickstarter was on, but I wanted to make sure it would go to market), but I can definitely see the value with all the different connectivity options (Though it should be noted the price point you listed doesn’t include an NDI license key for people who want to connect that way).
Overall, both the videos you’ve done on this camera have been very informative!
I really like the Obsbot tail air.
Maybe I need to get a couple for my next adventure
We'be been using the cameras (bought the multipack) in few different settings, from concerts, podcasts and livestream. The camera is OK, not the best, not the worse but middle on the tree. The best thing about the camera is the versatility. What you do mention to forget about the "off"-switch, is that it leaves it idle for 30-45 minutes draining battery. Hold the off button in for 10+s till the green light turns off (it's a green dim light you can see through the USB port) - We never use the digital zoom, the sensor is really bad for that so we rather place the camera closer.
Maybe this one would be more realistic to use for storm chases. Would have to build some sort of dome for the roof. Thinking I could still send the feed to OBS on my home computer to then go out to TH-cam. Thanks for all the wonderful videos!
Would be really cool to see this streamed on the go without a home wifi set up. Really interested in figuring out how to do streamed content outdoors. Possibly signaled back to a pc at home running obs.
I'd love to see an outdoor test of it tracking objects like cars to see how easy the tracking is to use and how well it can track fast moving objects.
Oh man I wish I had this Camera
It’s reality versatile! But also kinda expensive to justify until your channel is profitable.
Excellent video, thank you very much, could you guide me how to record the screen of your cell phone so that everything you do can be seen, and with that great speed, because it has no delay
Is there a plugin that allows me to rotate droidcam scene? Not the transform rotate for a screen
Hey, Michael! Does is work in streamyard platform? If yes, i'll buy one. Thank you!
How to use Lower thirds in new version
Thanks Micheal as always. Do you think I can log my iPhone in a hot spot turn phone in a Wi-Fi and connect my OBSBOT to that 😅
i may be no micheal but im sure it should work as i believe thats how some irl streamers do it. 🫶
I do t think it works like that but it would be super cool if it did. You can set it as a pre set though.
So what are the primary difference between the one you showed which is WOW available for only $500 but theres a smaller one for $150?
My DJI Osmo 6, for $149 does a follow around the entire room as well with my phone. My old Osmo 4 did the same. What am I missing here? The movement also seems very jerky to me. this is just a follow mode camera yes? OBS and Droid cam for secondary camera does it for me. For an all in one maybe. and Osmo has gestures as well. And zoom tracking.
They do. The difference is the connectabuility, and the optic quality. Those are functional webcams/ action cameras. The movement is fluid and faster than any other camera I have tested. If it seems jerky thats just the edit. You are paying for all the connection options, build quality and optics quality here.
@@MichaelFeyrerJr Thank you I guess it could be a niche for some. I think I’ll stick to my OnePlus 12 optics for now. Thank you for the reply. I still enjoyed the video.
The Osmo 6 is just a gimbal, you need a phone to record a video, that's at least an additional $900 for a good quality phone.
How far will it track you? What is the distance? Nobody ever talks about this spec. 20’ 50’ 100’??
It does it with software, so if it can see it it can track it. obviously the harder it is to see the more questionable the track would be.
@@MichaelFeyrerJr so it should be good tracking a person 50-60’ away?
I bought the original on kickstarter, wouldnt upgrade and stream, had to sell it. These obscure chinese fundraiser projects take years to perfect the products and theyre always a little faulty..
Never did like blur background. Hurts the eyes. They tackle that naturally. Bot looks awesome. Great list of features and some really easy to use range usefulness in a range of projects. Love it all. Thanks for the full explore of the product. Love what I see here.
Thanks!!
