Thanks for the video. Hoping to use this for NDI and possibly the HDMi output. What’s the highest resolution the OBSbot tail air will spit out on the mico hdmi port? I’ve looked but have not seen any info on this.
It is 4K/30 HDR in any single mode. If you wanna run 60 FPS, you have to disable HDR. In HDMI mode, the camera is beautiful. NDI is nice too, but via wifi can pose problems with glitchy video. I use the wired dongle to get NDI to run smoothly.
Hello. I was thinking of getting a few Tail Airs for a new setup at our church. They would be used primarily for streaming but also for sending the video to our large screens for the congregation at times. Is there any lag on the hdmi output? I obviously do not want video on the screens that is delayed or out of sync with what is going on in the sanctuary if the screens are in the same building. Hope this makes sense and thanks for your help!
There is no lag from the HDMI. Just know that if you are thinking of being able to zoom in and out, the quality is not great beyond 2x because it is digital zoom, not optical.
How is the latency using NDI? I am trying to synchronize a tiny2, a tail air, and a USB audio source (from a live audio mixer) during a live performance that is being streamed using OBS studio. I know they say the the tail air latency is "as low as 100ms"... but that isn't a very helpful spec... a 3second delay technically falls within that spec. I am looking for a practical opinion before I spend a non-refundable 100 dollars on the NDI license. Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the tutorial. I just fired up my Air yesterday. I am going with HDMI while I evaluate this cam with my others. Curious to know if you have tested NDI over and if there are any general guidelines for distance to router and weather to use 2.4 or 5Ghz
I have used it over wifi 5Ghz at about 25 feet from the router at 1080p/30 with good results. 4K/30 is more hit and miss there but at home, with less congestion, it works great.
@@FrugalStreamer I'm new to this and am thinking of getting the Tail Air. Probably mainly to video while riding my horses and making sound bath videos.. then upload to youtube. But if I wanted to live stream to youtube using my phone and wifi... do I need the NDI license key... I'm kind of confused about that?

Wifi. Video was with the Tail Air and at the beginning, I held up the ethernet dongle coiled up. You were seeing if in wifi NDI.
