It turns over strong but wont fire. For now it looks like we are running ... for now.
Problems problems problems..... trying to fix the red Jeep while every fix makes a new error code is a pain. On the bright side it has given me a chance to make some fix and replace videos.
    WHAT WE HAVE DONE:
    Changed the Crank shaft sensor
    Cam Shaft Sensor
    Temp sensor
    Air intake sensor
    MAPs sensor
    Throttle Body

Changed out camshaft sensor and temp sensor on my 2011 JKU. Now waiting on the throttle body by mail and change it out. Have had occasional starting issues. Just when I thought I was done and rid of issues it was hard to start again when I drove around a bit. Waiting for the mechanic in me to find the issue before I take it to a shop. @FloridaJeepRides I've been reading through a plethora of threads on the subject in JK & Wrangler forums. I have yet to find a single thread or video pinpointing the issue. Lots of variables. Lol. One thread on the subject starts in 2020 and continues to be a problem into 2023! They replaced all the same parts you mention and many more. Did your traction light ever come on then reduce your power? I've had that one. Replaced the camshaft position sensor. Fixed then a couple of months later it happened again. It has been taking a longer to start. It's currently at the jeep place racking up lots of charges. I was at my breaking point trying to figure it out. They put a throttle body on it today. Still not sure if that's gonna fix it. Hopefully it does. Has it still fixed your problems?

That was one of the last things I did, we took it to a shop last summer and they tested the fuel pressure... there was a problem with the fuel pump as well. The thing that was frustrating is the trouble codes kept changing.

What type of starting issues are you having? We have a 2011 JKU and when you go to start it it takes a little bit for it to fire up. Is this the issue you were having?

    • @FloridaJeepRides
      @FloridaJeepRides  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

Where to start.... about two years ago while wheeling at the location for Jeeping with Judd, I had a crankshaft position sensor go out. Then an error for the camshaft sensor, the map sensor, the temperature sending unit, and it goes on and on and on. I began to think that possibly the CPU was malfunctioning. It always turned over strong but acted like it was not getting fuel or fire. I changed almost every sensor on it and yet it would run for a while and then start having problems again. Long answer, I finally took it down to a shop where they discovered there was a problem with the fuel pump and there was not enough fuel pressure. That may have been causing things to not properly burn the fuel which was clogging up any other component that was associated with that. And as of now it is doing it again and left me stranded about 12 miles from home. Eventually it started but at this point I'm having trust issues with it.

I changed them all... some twice. I ended up taking it to a shop and they did a fuel pressure test and discovered an issue with the fuel pump. It is in the gas tank and was messing up stuff up line to the injectors. Today, I changed the alternator. It never ends with Jeep and I would have it no other way.

I haven't changed my throttle body yet in my 2011 Jeep Wrangler Sport. I replaced the Thermostat and about to change my coolant temperature sensor. My issue is no loss of power and my Throttle Body is clean as can be, but the Check Engine light and Throttle light came on and the temperature gauge doesn't go above 3/4. No overheating and even flushed to change out radiator fluid. I'm thinking it's the Coolant Temperature Sensor. Any suggestions I'm all ears.

I had the same issues. When I took it off it looked clean. After replacing it it fixed the issue. I cleaned it up with Throttle body cleaner. There also is a sensor on them that can cause issues. I upgraded my code reader to get a better look at things. If I had to do it again I would take it to a shop where they could put it on a real diagnostic machine. That could have saved time and money.

Have you had any issues with gas mileage dropping? For the last 3 months, my jeep went from 260 a tank down to 170 a tank. No codes at all whatsoever. So now I'm going to start the process of eliminating everything it could be. I'm just wondering if you have had that kind of issue.
The start of this is going to be
    The clutch (it's going out)
    EGR
    PCV
TUNE UP (done less than a year ago)
    O2 sensors
    PCM
    IAT sensor
    THROTTLEBODY
The dealer wants 200 a hour for diagnostic, and I can't take a chance on them taking 3 or 4 hours trying to figure out what wrong and cost me 600 to 800. I can pretty much do all the work for that amount.
