I've put Road 5s on my Speed Triple, and Road 6s on my 18 V-Strom 1K. For everyday riding in a wide range of temps and conditions, I can say unequivocally they are worth the extra money - and not just because they do indeed last longer. They are SAFER (and more fun!), reason enough to pop for them. Good review. Thanks.
I’ve had Road 6’s on my 2023 Vstrom 1050 for the last 2500 miles, in wet and dry. During that time, have seen the traction control indicator flashing at me far more times than it ever did in 25,000 miles on the Bridgestone A41’s it came with. Because of TC, we just don’t lose traction and slide anymore. Kinda takes all the fun and excitement out of it, but I’m not as young and sharp as I used to be, so don’t need to be sliding around on two wheels like I used to. But on modern TC equipped bikes, don’t take the absense of sliding to be the credit of the tires. It could just be a very fast computer busy keeping us out of trouble.
Its not Internet BS. These tyres are excellent. Carol has them on the Street Triple, I've got them on my MT10. To be honest the Road 5s are excellent as well. Got those on my XSR900 and they've never given me any concerns. I've never had tyres that work as well as these, especially in the wet.
We've just fitted a set of Road 6's to our 2019 FJR1300. We had to swap out the Road 6 GT's that have been on for the last 37000 Km's. Yes, you read that correctly. I check the pressures regularly, ride in all weather conditions (only bike, don't own a car). Can honestly say that they are great in the wet. reason for the Road 6's and not the GT is quite simply there were no front tyres available here in Australia at the time that I needed them (last week). I'm curious as to how these Road 6's will compare to the Road 6 GT's. Great video, very informative, love the Guzzi.
My 2016 FJR Has a set of Road 5GT Got 8000 Miles on the front tire and 10,000 on the rear front tire is almost to wear bars looks like the FJR wears out front tires faster than rear have you experienced to same thing?
Good to hear mate. I also have a zzr600 and just ordered the Road 6 for the front, my rear still okay. My most important thing is the grip and have heard good things about them. My only gripe is, and I know stupid all things considered is I don’t particularly like the look of the tread pattern 😊. I appreciate not important but pretty ugly.
A good report. I'm on an FJR1300, currently enjoying my 2nd set of Bridgestone T-32 GTs. Did NOT like the old Michelin Pilot Road 4's.. bad cupping... So maybe the 6's are much better. But: PRICEY
That is a good result. They have some longetivity to them. Having taken my Griso on some large highway trips. These tyres have lasted the longest compared to the other brands that I have used in the past.
Griso nice , my Pirelli tyres fell apart , disappointed So Michelin road 5 s , been excellent tyres soon upgrading to 6s Put 6s on my wife's Triumph Tiger and turned it into sport bike , changed the whole dynamic of the handling. As for wear my Stelvio has got 9000 klms so far on the rear fully loaded , pressures seem critical
Like with all bikes. If you keep them to the correct tyre pressure, you will get more kilometers out of the tyres. This was something that I was terrible at until I made it a habit of checking my tyre pressure on a fortnightly basis (or after an extended time in the garage).
They are good but apart from being expensive, the front makes a high pitch hum on smooth roads above 50 kph which I find irritating. I think it's the fine transverse treads across the tyre that cause this hum, the rear doesn't have those and is quiet.
Road 6 are amazing tyres all round 8k miles plus out of mine with some hard riding also in spain on tour i couldnt recomend them more for an all year use
Nowt wrong with R6, but then there was never anything wrong with R5. Currently using Next2. R6 and Next2 seem to last forever, with superb wet weather grip.
Thanks for the review. I am about to pull the trigger on getting a set of Road 6 to replace my current Pirelli Angel GT 2 set on my Kawasaki Z1000SX... I've also historically been a user of Metzeler and Pirelli tyres. Since this video is 7 months old, is there anything else I should know before I hand my credit card over to the man at the tyre shop?
Hi there I'm a currently using Bridgestone Battlax T32, previously a got Pirreli Anget GT, I'm planning to get the Road 6. How long did your 6s tires lasted?
I loved Pirelli tyres , but my angel GT2 s literally fell apart with about 3000 ks to go , dealer , Pirelli importer no interest whatsoever So switched to Michelin 5s and soon upgrading to 6s , great tyres
If you have high powered bikes and no traction control then i get the best result with cup2 and 2.4bar tire pressure cold. Power 5 and road 6 its to hard in the middle and just spinning all the time. 🎉
Puy them on my st4s they do seem to feel good but got a puncher with in 1000k been since i have had one may be just unlucky, but have seen comments that they are known for it has any one had this
That was something that I had no issue with. I found tyres are more prone to punctures at the end of their life cycle. But would be interested to see if it was a common problem with the Road 6's.
My bike has 7000k with the road6, and i cannot see the time to replace them, a put a pair of T32... Road 6 gives you extra 40-50% milage compared to the T32, but T32 have much more grip, and the worst the suface, the bigger the diference. I have no confidence on Road 6, they are slippery

Thanks for watching. I agree, they have been very impressive on the Griso.

big greetings from Russia. your video is very useful. you helped me decide to buy these tires. I am grateful to you.
Thank you for watching. Let me know what you think of the tyres.
I like the Michelin Road 6. I had the Pilot Road 4's and was happy with them, so when due, the Road 6's for me. Ride well. Cheers
Great tyres.

Totally agree. I am very impressed with them.
sold. wanted to know how they were in wet and cold weather. seem to be the best for the money
I thought Carol was running dunlops😅
Just installed them on my hornet 600. Did a blast through mountain twisties yesterday, they behaved like champs.
The grip is fantastic. On the track day, I had no complaints.
@@RoadsOfOz A track day is the test I still haven't put them through haha

@@altec19 yeah mate. Front definitely seems to wear faster.
I like the Road 6's. They are an aggressive feeling tyre to me. Turn is very sharply in the ZZR600.
Had alot of confidence on the Griso with these tyres. they have worn very well too.

@@Mattk3ng266 Ahhhh yeah. I think they look great, but that is very subjective. The Pirelli tyres I had on the GTR1400 looked awesome.
I've put 7K km on my pilot street 2. Still like new. Awesome in the rain.
Rain is the biggest deal for me. I've been on Pilot Road 4's for many years, wasn't keen on the 5's but the 6's look better. Thanks
Never had the 5's. These were my first set of Michelin tyres. I mostly had Pirelli's on my bikes. But I have been very impressed with these 6's.

Im on 19000km highway riding tracer 7 bike. Still have plenty left on them. They flatted out a bit but doesn't bother me.

Hard to find a bad tire in any brand nowadays 🏍
Yeah mate. We are spoiled for choice.
Road 6 are amazing tyres all round 8k miles plus out of mine with some hard riding also in spain on tour i couldnt recomend them more for an all year use
Same here. I was very impressed with their performance.
Thanks for watching.

are the metzelers not Chinese?
never had a good run outa michelins lost faith years ago good luck with em mate
Never had Michelins before, so i was a bit apprehensive. These held up very well on the road.
I literally hit 17000km from new 2021 Yamaha MT07 on Road 5 rear. As a point of reference Installed Road 6 still yet to test.
Hopefully the Road 6's get just as good longevity.
Love the Griso , have you changed anything on your suspension, best wishes from UK 🏍🍺👍
Hi. I recently sold the Griso. But I never upgraded the suspension or adjusted anything. But it was set up for me from new.
Thanks for the review. I am about to pull the trigger on getting a set of Road 6 to replace my current Pirelli Angel GT 2 set on my Kawasaki Z1000SX...

No. Was very happy with them. Have since sold the bike that they were on.

the best road tyres
Hard to argue that.
Anyone ride with these in -3 Celsius? Thoughts?
Not me. Been caught in 0 DegC and that was way too cold for me to be riding.
Hi there I'm a currently using Bridgestone Battlax T32, previously a got Pirreli Anget GT, I'm planning to get the Road 6. How long did your 6s tires lasted?
They are still on my bike. I have done over 10000k's. But it really depends on your motorcycle power and weight. Also how you ride it.
Hows the grip on these? I was hoping to mount these to my vfr800.
How does Michelin 6 compare with Pirelli Angel GT
On the Griso, it seems that I will get more mileage from the Road 6's than the Pirelli GT's. They both offer good grip though.
I loved Pirelli tyres , but my angel GT2 s literally fell apart with about 3000 ks to go , dealer , Pirelli importer no interest whatsoever
So switched to Michelin 5s and soon upgrading to 6s , great tyres
Will they be good on a Hyabusa? Heavy bike.
Heavy bike with more power than my old Griso. I would expect less milage from the tyres. But it also depends on how you ride.
@@RoadsOfOz haha I ride like an old man….. which is what I am
My road 6 died after 6000km, I'm really disappointed tbh
Would you put them on the r 1250gs?
If I had no intention of going off-road. Yes.
If you have high powered bikes and no traction control then i get the best result with cup2 and 2.4bar tire pressure cold. Power 5 and road 6 its to hard in the middle and just spinning all the time. 🎉
Road 6 vs Diablo 4 ?
Have not tried the Diablo 4's yet. But very impressed with the Road 6's. They are a bit different as the Diablo 4's are a more sport focused tyre.
Puy them on my st4s they do seem to feel good but got a puncher with in 1000k been since i have had one may be just unlucky, but have seen comments that they are known for it has any one had this

$700 for both tyres or each?
Set. Included fitting.
Yes pair. I just looked it up.
Yep. Priced them last week. $750 with right angle valves. Sold.
@@danielkeel9265 I thought the $680 a pair was high. And I fit them myself. It would be another $200 to have mine fitted
So they are road/track tires?
Can do both. But if you had a track only bike, there are better options.
I had them and their amazing.
Totally agree.

Fair enough. What’s bike are you running them on and air pressure?
Whats the recommended air pressure for them? i keep getting different answers ;/
It depends on your motorcycle.
The user manual has the recommended air pressure to use on your motorcycle.
Black and round, do for me. 👍
please tell me, are Battlax Hypersport S22 and updated S23 closer to Power 6 or Road 6?
and what can you say about ROADTEC 02 tires?
Sorry. I have not had those tyres on my bike yet. So I could not say.
