Bridgestone Battlax Adventure A41 Review
My BMW R1250GS (when new) was supplied with the Bridgestone Battlax Adventure A41. But are they any good and would I get them again?

Great review Matty!
Good review video. These tires came with my 2023 Triumph Tiger 900 Rally Pro so when I saw your review I was intrigued that someone would do a review on these, as it is unpopular on the forums for my bike, to like these tires. Personally, I have had the same opinions as you on the tires. They are good tires on the road in the dry and in the wet and they wear well and last a long time. I presently have 10,800 miles (about 17,300 km) on mine, and they still look like they have a lot of life left. Of course, my bike is lighter than yours so that would affect wear as well. The bike is used as a daily rider / commuter, etc. and so in this use case it is fine to wear them down to the wear bars. It is a good factory-fit tire from the manufacturer despite what the common wisdom on the Internet might be 🙄 as the factory cannot fit some sort of unicorn tire that will suit / please all users / use cases, and besides most ADV bikes never see dirt. Mine hasn't so far, but when these wear out I'll be looking to get some decent 70/30 tires for the Tiger. Not really interested in doing much dirt riding beyond the odd dirt road to get to a nice lookout or camp spot.
Interesting stuff Matt. You do a great job on reviews - I enjoy these. Happy days mate.
So why did you decide on the Anake’s
They were on sale. Michelin has a promo on sets of tyres as well.
@@RoadsOfOz makes sense
Haha @2:31, I reckon I have a drone shot of that. I had Pilot Road 4s on a BMW R1200R, and still reckon the Pilot Road series are probably the best road tyres for every day riding…but…have just had a couple of bikes withBridgestone Batlax HyperSports, and bloody hell they are good tyres. Great review Matt. Keep up the great work,
Thanks for that. The grip/tyre life some of these tyre manufacturers are getting is amazing. Good for us consumers. Would love to see the aerial footage. I bet it did not look graceful.
@@RoadsOfOz i thought to myself, hello, Matty’s taking the scenic route around that tree
Thanks so much for such an informative video. I'm contemplating on buying a 1984 gpz750 as my very first bike. Whats making me cautious is the unique parts that might need replacing and the whole front fork issue with its anti-dive mechanic that I'm clueless about Would you recommend this to an actual beginner, it runs according to the seller but I'm scared of a possible issue down the road that may be impossible to fix due to parts scarcity on it
I find I recommend a tyre then try another and find it’s better. It’s nice when you find a tyre suited to your bike, your riding, your longevity target & your wet weather handling target. That’s then magic for riding in all situations but then you hope they don’t change the design.
Some manufacturers when they change the design, you may find the older design is named something else in their range. Always chat with the service manager where you get the tyres fitted, they should be upto date on such things.
I'll probs be getting the Michelin Road 6 on my V-Strom 800RE when they come up for renewal, it isn't really likely to hit any trails beyond gravel and the Road 6 tyre is cracking on tarmac in the wet... which seems to be the UK's default weather currently 😀
You will not be disappointed. Rated them on the Griso. Fantastic on track days too.
Matt, the road is that light brown bit, not the green bit.
What can I say. I like to explore.
I use this mount on the nav bar of my Aprilia Tuareg 660, works great.
Will they be good on a Hyabusa? Heavy bike.
Heavy bike with more power than my old Griso. I would expect less milage from the tyres. But it also depends on how you ride.
@@RoadsOfOz haha I ride like an old man….. which is what I am
I wouldn’t get the 56v range either 😆. The 58v range though is awesome, way better than the 18v.
Mine are still going strong. I returned the chainsaw for warranty work and has been fine ever since.
Thanks for the video.
You are welcome.
Hallelujah! 🙌
The relief I had when it fired up.
It is alive.
Big Success.
You didn't shout "start ya b#stard"
How does the carb look?
This one is fuel injected.
Well, ain't that a bucket of sand in your swimming trunks.
Gearbox/transmission Replacement NOTE HOT OIL IS MORE FLUID AND WILL DRAIN OUT MORE EASILY AND COMPLETELY. • Place a container with suitable capacity under the drainage plug (2). • Unscrew and remove the drainage plug (2). • Unscrew and remove the filler cap (1). • Drain the oil into the container; allow several mi- nutes for oil to drain out completely. • Check and replace, if necessary, the sealing washers of drainage plug (2). • Remove any metal scrap attached to the drain- age plug (2) magnet. • Screw and tighten the drainage plug (2). • Pour in new oil until it reaches the dipstick open- ing (1). • Tighten the filler cap (1). CAUTION DO NOT ADD ADDITIVES OR ANY OTHER SUBSTANCE TO THE FLUID. WHEN USING A FUNNEL OR ANY OTHER EL- EMENT, MAKE SURE IT IS PERFECTLY CLEAN.
Picking up a 03 tomorrow super stoked for it! And this video is some informational and definitely gives me so knowledge! Thank you man!
You are welcome. The 03 is the pick of the bunch.
@@RoadsOfOz It's an amazing machine no doubt! I love it got a little ride in today and the torque is unbelievable
Sun of a beach.
That sucks mate
It was all a learning experience.
Indeed a new plug is in order .....wow
It was well past its use by date.
You're getting it sorted.
If you have high powered bikes and no traction control then i get the best result with cup2 and 2.4bar tire pressure cold. Power 5 and road 6 its to hard in the middle and just spinning all the time. 🎉
Bugger on the bolt man so what does this part do on the bike?
The compressor forces air into the chamber helping atomise the fuel. In theory , it will run more efficiently.
This scoot is tiring into a major project. Keep at it!
The rabbit hole is deep, but i will get there.
Hi Matt. What tyres are you running
At the time, I was still on the Battlax Adventure (stay tuned for a revie coming soon). I have recently fitted the Michelin Anakee.
Love the 85tt but looking into the v7. You find the v7 too small for you?
Have not ridden a V7 yet.
I've really got to consider a Quad-lock option. I like my current one, but there's no doubt quad-lock is a better quality product. Appreciate the food for thought and the walk-through.
I am a bit of a Quad Lock fan. They mounts have never let me down.
Definitely the best on the market worldwide Matty
Yep. I can see why.
Quadlock is my go-to for any phone mounts. I agree on the vibration dampener. I believe they're an Australian based company as well. 🇦🇺
Nice!👍💚
Quad lock is a quality product. I don't have the mirror mount, but use the vibration mount. Not broke the camera on my phone yet.
My '11 Ninja 1000 needs tires. Has Dunlop Roadmax on it now, had them on it when I got it. 2200 miles later, they are WORN DOWN. The front tires are starting to scrub through, they're choppy, they're down to the bar. The rears have officially squared off and are down to the bar. I was originally going to get Dunlop Roadsmart IV, but I think I'm going to give the Angel ST a try. I commute with occasional fun on the backroads, I don't need the absolute best of the best of the best, and I think they will do me good.
Let me know how they hold up.
Those Griso's tend to get under your skin. Let us know if down the track you end up regretting it, or wanting another one. But motorcycles are motorcycles and we change them up all the time. I'll be selling my Speed Twin for something else, but will hang onto my Griso for a bit longer. Loved your video's on the Griso.
Thank you. There were plenty of Videos of me on my Griso (my original channel was called GrisoGuy). I am sure at some point I will regret selling my Griso. But cannot see me getting another one.
Good luck!
What does the compressor do?
Helps atomise the fuel. Bike uses less fuel in the process.
Perez Patricia Anderson Susan Gonzalez Jessica
Well, I'm sorry to hear this bike is a problem child. I hope you get it sorted. It really is an excellent scoot.
@@KrakensGarageandAdventures joys of buying cheap bikes that do not run.
You are certainly getting this bike sorted.
Why does a scooter have a fuel pump..
@@fifocrew3040 it is fuel injected.
Mate. These review videos are great! You’re really falling into a good niche.
Thank you. I am glad you like them.
That underseat storage is pretty wild. My Suzuki Intruder VL250 used to fit a bottle of bourban perfectly under the seat heheh. Love ANZAC bridge, and a great review mate.
Thank you. I just had to use the Anzac bridge footage somewhere on this video.
Back in 2007 this was an elegant maxi scooter. Even today it is. Shame for the under the seat storage and phone that just cannot go inside. Otherwise a cool machine. To be honest they are not cheap, at least in my country. Would say that you can get a nice one for a reasonable price. Enjoyed your review. You are right about riding in the normal shoes. They can be quickly dirty or destroyed. :) Cheers. Take care and check my community tab when you can.
I am a fan of being able to wear regular shoes on this bike.
@@RoadsOfOz This is the most comfortable.
Great review man. I would love to ride that beast. Never ridden a scooter.
@@hachewie when you come to Sydney. Take it for a spin.
@@RoadsOfOz awesome man.
Mate the fun factor is up there with scooters carving through traffics hilarious too good times matt cheers
There is a big fun factor with this scoot. Good times indeed.
Great commuter scoot, 500cc though even better 👌
It has the punch needed on outer urban roads. I am enjoying riding this scoot.
The biggest thing to me is keeping up with the traffic Matt.
Yes, this does it very well. It even gets ahead of most traffic with ease.
Great video Matty and love the format. Well done mate. Enjoyed that a lot
Thank you. I have been enjoying making this style of video. Hopefully more to come.
