If I am allowed a personal opinion, the CB650R has a stock note like no other current bikes, the Akra just makes it loud like other loud bikes, and you gain about 4hp I think.. something to that effect. I know this is not a popular opinion, but I am a fan of the low rumble of the stock CB650R, no other new bike sounds like this.. Your quick shifter on the other hands .. dude .. nice..
Hey man don’t worry everyone has their own preference. I kind of miss quiet and peace actually but it’s such a godsend in traffic in terms of creating presence. Will be installing the db killer soon. Yea on the power figure I can’t really tell I don’t ride it too hard anyways. Oh yea it does pair with the quickshifter very well. Love flicking through the gears!!
Thanks! It does get buzzy but doesn’t deter too much (I used to ride a rumble vtwin so really depends what you’re used to) and I have foam grips on top. I’m still trying to customise bar insert weights to solve the issue.
Hi there. I got a non original one from a local E commerce retailer shopee. You can get them from Ali express too but be sure to get the right one. Cos 19-20 and 21-22 models fit differently and these things are not perfect.
For the PAIR delete, now that you don’t have the catalytic system, this will keep the reed valves from opening, and the resistor I included, make harness to plug into the socket for the connector that you unplug for the assembly, and it’ll keep your bike from throwing any check engine lights. I have this exact setup on mine, and it’s been on for over two years, and several thousand miles.
Well I see TH-cam won’t allow links, you need a 25W 10 oHM resistor, I got a multipack from Amazon for next to nothing and you need to the the Smart Moto PAIR delete kit for the bike.
@@RUBBERNMETAL It's a secondary air system which sends air from the filter straight to the exhaust on overrun, because unburnt fuel. That's why you get the occasional pop, which with an aftermarket pipe can get quite loud. I like that sound, but many people don't. If that's the case you can just block off the air passage. No need to mess with the valve or anything else.
@@johnlee5399 slip on requires some customisation (cutting and welding) as there’s no mid link on the stock exhaust, personally I don’t prefer that route but many have done it. There’s a few other options as well akra is the straight fwd choice tho hehe. I got it because they guarantee plug and play no need to tune and they claim power gains too.

Hello there. I’m not sure about Europe’s regulations but on the exhaust and the box it clearly states it is not legal for road use 😆. Not sure about the catalyst I’ve never explored it before but yea we get into trouble with the law as well if they decide to be strict.
