I agree 100%. No better bait deployment out there IMO. The Aquacat totally changed our fishing experiences for the better. Now there is no more risking life on the kayak or fooling with drones and new FAA rules. We sold all of our drones after getting the Aquacat. This little boat has taken out very large baits, up to 20 plus lbs in terrible chop/waves on the east coast of the US. Expensive, yes, but totally worth it.
I just ordered an Aqua Cat. Trying to get a feel for what the best battery is for the $. The high performance (capacity) 6S LiPo's are so expensive (~$500)! The higher performance ad lighter weight might be worth it though. Your thoughs? I already refinanced the house to get the boat!lol
ive been around long enough to have used a lifesaver candy attached to a balloon on a out going tide. Run your line through the candy and it will release it when the water melts the candy enough to break it.
Best footage of the cat’s deployments I’ve seen, excellent work fellas. My buddy has one we fish with and mine’s coming in about 2 months…. Clive said not to let the voltage drop below 22, but I’ve seen you guys run it down to low 21’s. Any issues going that low?, as it’d be nice to get those extra drops. How many baits are you running? I wouldnt dance too low i mean once you send out 4-5 baits you can tune the batt up. I recharge sometimes off of a honda 2200 overnight if needed.
If you don't mind me asking what kind, size and price was your battery? Mine is a tattu 25000 mah. Damn thing was $489. Still worth it when I almost drowned one evening kayaking my bait out when I had no right being out but you know how it is, last day to fish and waves was too rough.
I don’t like how the camera cuts away while the boat is sailing out instead of staying with the boat for the whole round trip. Also would’ve loved more drone footage of the boat.
I feel like it’s smarter to load the bait and the weight onto the boat in the same spot right behind it so that the boat isn’t dragging the weight along the bottom and using more battery
@@gunnycat8393 its a process. 1/2 of the cost of the boat payed upfront, which took about a week to process. About 9 months for building then a week of shipping to USA. Mine got stuck in customs so that was fun getting it released.
Thinking of getting the Fishing Surfer Long Distance RC Boat, about half the price of the Aqua Cat, come spring-summer I’ll be breaking it in hopefully it’s nice
Nice video. Been running my aquacat for a year here in Texas. Still kayak but the cat is nice for nighttime redeployments. Everyone I know who goes drone is on at least their second drone. Some are on their 4th. The cat has some issues but has saved trips for us and gotten us on fish when it was too windy to fly a drone and too rough to kayak! Can you explain how you are rigging.those big baits? I have been messing with a few ways. I am probably going to make some short loop with a swivel. I have had a bait not ride right and twist all the way out and fail to drop. Just tossing out ideas

Maybe use a lower grade drone to increase signal for Aquacat...
