Great take, I have the x100vi but still end up grabbing my OM-D on my way out far more often!

I love both Fujifilm and Olympus. (Sensor size doesn’t matter for me.)
Fujifilm -> Aperture ring - Shutter speed dial - ISO dial. (Don’t hardly touch anyway.)
Olympus -> Smaller lighter bodies - Smaller lighter lenses.
💁🏻‍♀️ Game changer trying Olympus gear. Just more fun to throw in my day pack.

I've done so many weddings with the first Olympus OMD E-M5. My portfolio is mostly Olympus jpegs even other pros think I've edited those images.😂

I have a E-M5 for 10 years now and I still like it. It looks and feels great with it's metal dials, the battery that came with is still usable. The ultrasonic sensor cleaning works so well that still do not know how to clean a sensor because I don't need to know. Over the years many asked if I'm using a analog camera, so it qualifies as retro look quite well.
Unfortunately both OM System and Panasonic have no really striking new camera in the small/street category today. I would like to see them release something like the Pen-f.

Hi Ramon thanks for the video and I just subscribed! I personnaly bought a Nikon Z fc as an upgrade from my D3500. It remembered me of the film camera my father used 30 years ago and that I bought a 135mm lens for birds (didn't have lots of budget then). My objective was to learn to shoot manual and better understand f-stops, ISO and speed and those manual dials + the EVF have really helped me with exposition, depth of field, focus, etc. Since then, I've bought a used D500 which is ideal for bird photography. But even then, the Z fc has big advantages thanks to the EVF for macro, landscape, trees. The other day I missed a photo with the D500 for my work (journalist) because I used a f1.8 and it got totally overexposed - forgot that it was not an EVF. I'm even trying filming birds now on the Z fc which is in fact pretty simple to use for video outside the sh*** AF-C which struggles with waterfowls. So, the Z fc was a bit of an overkill as for my level the D3500 was totally suffiscient at the time even for birds, but it has helped me a lot to progress and learn photography and now perhaps to get into more filming also.

I admittedly am a Canon fanboy, but in the short duration of owning a Mark IV, I really love their vintage feel. Having recently been a film binge, I’ve been craving a vintage looking mirrorless that’s less inconspicuous compared to my R8. The lens I have on it is insane for street photography.

Excellent stuff! Sad fact is Olympus don't make cameras anymore they are now OM-Systems.

Look at the Oly PenF mono, get the ECG grip for Oly M10s - I use it all the time. My travel/holiday kit M10 mk. 1 + Leica 25mm f1.4, m.Zuiko 9-18mm f3.5-5.6, m.Zuiko 14-42mm pancake zoom. Pancake zoom is so small, it's pocketable , I usually have the 25mm f1.4 or 45mm f1.8 on...Best in camera jpg engine...

I use my Olympus EM1 mark III for exhibition openings with the 12 -40 pro lens and the photos come out tack sharp especially with head and shoulder shots of the artists with their artwork. In fact they do show a bit too much detail in wrinkles and need a bit of softening. My setting is f2.8 at iso 200 but will increase the ISO a bit to freeze motion as I had some movement in my last photos and it looked arty but do nit want that. I would not use anything else due to the amazing IBIS that allows this to be sharp photos with plenty of depth of field. I have used my Olympus EM5 mark II to photograph artworks and that works well too.

In almost 18 years the x100v is the only camera I’ve bought that isn’t a 4/3 sensor. It does have a special something about it. But so does my om5 with a Panasonic 20mm 1.7. My om5 and my em5 mark 3 with that combo is slightly smaller than my 100v. I have extra large glove hands and I just want no part of the modern look of the em1 and om1 bodies.

Thanks! This video is exactly I what was looking for. I have both em10 Miv and x100v and it is hard for me to go any of these. The small size and perfect output with f1.7 and f2.8 lenses in photography makes em10 miv a perfect camera for photography. But for video it is a big no. The flip down screen and lack of microphone Jack is a no brainer. But inbody image stabilization in these cameras are really one of its kind at affordable price. Whereas x100v is a king in its industry standard. Even though the focal length is fixed f 2.8 makes amazing pictures.

I think the pen f is just about the same price as the x100v, and just as hard to find sometimes.

@@RTPerspective I tried out a Pen-F a few weeks ago, was thinking of getting one, couldn’t live with that EVF though after using a OM-1, so passed. Hopefully they bring out a Pen-F II but they probably won’t.

Most people buy Sony Canon or Nikon. I let my sister and her husband borrow my Olympus Pen E-PL2 and my brother in-law still bought a Sony later. Everything that clown buys is Sony no matter what.
