    Nitrogen does leak into the oil out of the bladder. And sag does change with different nitrogen pressure in the bladder, this is one reason your sag changes over time, I've done testing to confirm the sag changes before and after service with a big change in nitrogen pressure. More nitrogen is more force trying to extend the shock and pushes up the rear end, rebound damping also feels different, faster after service. I usually mark the spring and measure the length in mm to see the installed length and to see how much preload was on the spring. I like the idea of using the punch to mark the spring preload adjuster ring.

      Nice 👍🏻 I saw Tampa MX on one of your videos & was like hey Tampa FL 👍🏻 & love that 96 looking YZ. Dade City this Sunday for the extended track practice 👊🏼✊🏼 I might have to let you do my suspension. I’m due for a fluid change & I don’t have time to knock it out myself with everything I got going on

    Great video! I have a 2017 Honda CRF450R and the rebound adjustment is free spinning when I try to tighten it so the needle tip is most likely broke. If I leave it like that will it just mean I can’t adjust it or will it cause more damage?

    • @UpAllNight91
      @UpAllNight91  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thanks! It wont cause any further damage so that part will be ok. You just wont be able to adjust the rebound anymore.

    Hey mate,
    I followed ur video step by step and all was well for about a month. About a month after I’ve now blown the shock again all oil came out. By chance do you have any idea where I went wrong?? My setup is valved pretty stiff for free ride although lately I have mainly been riding a lot of trails that have some nasty deep rain ruts that it takes some quick big blows … I’ve put about 20-30 hours on it since I last did it … is that normal

      Hello. 20 to 30 hours is not a long life for a seal. They can usually last 150 or more hours. Although I have had them go bad in 50 hours or less but its kinda rare. Is the mud flap between the shock and rear tire on the bike in good shape? And the shock shaft in good shape with no rust and pitting? If alls well, then I would just change the seal again and hope this new one last longer

    Hi mate
    I have 2020 crf450l, I am getting clicking/ clacking noise when I push down fully on back of bike and same noise when shock to extended, my spring can be fully turned by hand , greatful any ideas
    Great vid

    • @UpAllNight91
      @UpAllNight91  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hmm. Not really sure. But it wouldn't hurt to completely remove the shock, then remove the spring off the shock and stroke the shock by hand just to make sure the clicking is not something inside the shock coming apart.
