you're so knowledgable.. thank you for this fantastic video, much better than your previous one with the white sock. I think I can get started with the instructions on this video, but if you're looking for ideas for future videos, please do one where you explain in detail how to pick up side stitches.. I find it a little tricky identifying the right one. but thanks again.. I'm really looking forward to starting a new project based on this video.
it depends how much bigger you want it, that fits a size US 7 shoe, keep an even number of stitches and it should be okay with whatever you cast on since it's stockinette stitch
Thank you so much mam for tutorial. I have watched so many videos but couldn't make socks but with your video and description written about every row I finally made a pair of socks 😊
I have a few questions. 1. Which rows do you repeat until the ribbing? 2. What do you mean by "Continue until you complete the ribbing"? 3. Does the pattern work if you do more than 6 rows of the ribbing? 4. Does the pattern work if you do more than 14 rows of the stockinette? 5. Does the pattern work if you do more than 6 rows of the ribbing and more than 14 rows of the stockinette?
Can you please identify which rows are for the toe portion of these socks? I’m trying to rewrite this to make it easier for a friend of my who is a new knitter. I’m Thinking the middle Or end of the toe is row 85 and then you start the sew as you go technique. Is this correct or have I totally misunderstood the directions? Thanks for your help. My new knitter is tired of making scarfs. LOL
Thank you very much. Tried it today. Result is definitely perfect even for a rooky like me😁. Looking forward to new sharings of you. Best wishes for the new year.
The only thing that confuses me is where you are placing your hook when you pick up a stitch. You should have given more instruction for this, especially for beginners. I can't tell if you are simply going one row up from the row you are on, or 2 rows up. If you pick the wrong one, you have to pull it all out and start over...
on Row 21, your stitches add up to 17 not 18. So, k1 leaves 17, slip stitch 16, k12 leaves 4, K2tog leaves 2, and then you say K1--can u please explain that one?
after row 92, when you said repeat until the ribbing, were you saying repeat the last two sets of patterns you showed us? Please respond as soon as possible, because I would like to make stockings for christmas
Lots of complaining on these comments. Thank you for the video and the pattern.
Brilliant way of making socks as I hate sewing since it create some bulk at the seams
Thank you. It's a big help for me knitting socks.

If I wanted to make a bigger sock, how many stitches should I increase to keep in line with the pattern? Thank you so much for this tutorial!

This is awesome thank you so much for sharing this. 🕊️🤍🕯️

yes the pattern will work if you do more rows for ribbing and more rows of stockinette.
@@BrandyM your replies are more confusing

Thanks
You could try 22 stitches, or just go up a needle size
@@BrandyM thanks my dear
i would love to make these socks but i get no sound on your video
What size needles do you use ...thank you so much for the tutorial👍
I used size US # 7
What number needles to use
US#7
what size of needle did you use and what size of yarn?
Worsted weight #4 yarn, and size US7 needles
@@BrandyM thank you for replying so fast.
How do you know which stitch to pick up? e.g. in row 29
I just picked up the next stitch that wasn't connected to the stitch on the needle, just try to pick up stitches evenly as you knit down the sock
How do you know where to pick the stitch?
i made the same type of video for babies, to try to show where to pick up the stitch th-cam.com/video/oO99hTRBv_s/w-d-xo.html see if that helps
@@BrandyM that is just as bad.. can u not describe or are u guessing?
@@esseff6481 it doesn't really matter which stitch you do as long as its close to the next stitch and you keep the sides even
What is stockinette?
it is one row knit and one row purl and repeat the two rows
#4 worsted weight yarn is too heavy for my shoes. How can I do this using sock yarn and 2.75 mm needles?
cast on more stitches
What size is the sock please
Should fit around 6/7 women’s
What size needles and yarn are u using
size US#7 needles and worsted weight 4 yarn
@@BrandyM Ty I have never made socks before and I haven't knitted long I'm gonna give this a try

@@BrandyM😊
are these soks for adult& what size ruffly?
Yes, size 7
@@BrandyM thank you !!!!!.
You don’t give a gauge or tell size needles and yarn to use???
I used size US7 needles and i used worsted weight yarn. This pattern will fit around a size 6/7 in shoe size
Where to pick up the stich????? You didn't explain this. Also you didn't explain that the picked up stich I just slip when I begin the next row???
When picking up stitches just try to do it evenly down the sock
on Row 21, your stitches add up to 17 not 18. So, k1 leaves 17, slip stitch 16, k12 leaves 4, K2tog leaves 2, and then you say K1--can u please explain that one?
k1 = (1stitch) skp = (2 stitches) k12 = (12+3=15) k2tog (2stitches = 15+2=17) k1 (1stitch 17+1=18) I hope this helps.
What are the socks sizes? Thank you.
7
@@BrandyM Is there any way to make the sock size bigger?
@@melissamarie8925 yes, you can cast on more stitches and add more rows to the length of the foot.
When you say rib for 6 rows is that one row of k2p2...and then p2k2
Yes, Row 1: K2, P2 (repeat) Row 2: P2, K2 (repeat) Row 3: K2, P2 (repeat) Row 4: P2, K2 (repeat) ect
Brandy M thank you i was wondering the same thing. And nice video!
Thanks for that question!!!
after row 92, when you said repeat until the ribbing, were you saying repeat the last two sets of patterns you showed us? Please respond as soon as possible, because I would like to make stockings for christmas
Repeat 91 and 92 until the ribbing
What yarn weight? Do you have a gauge?
I love this BTW!
I used worsted weight yarn, I don't have a gauge but it fits around a size 7 foot
Do you happen to have a link to written instructions?
no i dont, but i can write out the pattern in the description box if you need me to
Brandy M yes please
Where can I find link to written out link
I think I missed something, I heard stockinette for 14 rounds, and then jumps to row 21. What do you do from row 15 to 20? Thank you!!
sorry for confusing you, after the 6 rows of ribbing plus the 14 rows of stockinette will leave you at row 21
Brandy M oh!! Thank you!!! I am a beginner so, I missed the part of all of those are added. Again, thanks a bunch!! ❤️
I cant hear you at all.
Speak up dear! Can't make out the words.
