Today was my first time cooking with an instant pot and I decided to make this recipe. It came out so tender and tasty. Would make again. Thank you for this video!
This lady is the best baker/cook!!!! Her recipes are spot on, easy to make and DELICIOUS! I made this with chicken thighs in the air fryer instead of pork. OMG the rub is phenomenal and the chicken was a hit, even with my firefighter son who knows how to cook. Everything I had tried on her channel has always come out great!!!! 🙏 thanks for all you do. Keep the recipes coming.
No, after you return the pork to the pot and put the lid on you change your setting to the "Sealing" setting so it will pressure cook it for 40 minutes. :)
This is the first time using an instant pot. I followed along with your video for the pulled pork but, the saute doesn't seem to want to Brown and it's taking forever! Did I do something wrong? The pork is just white on all sides?!!
Texas style is seasoned exclusively with salt, pepper, garlic. Carolina uses mustard based barbecue sauce and apple cider vinegar. This recipe was neither of those. If I had to label it I’d say Kansas City style was closest given the addition of the sweet brown sugar bbq sauce
Tastes the same but the slow cooker can provide the searing effect. You’d need a cast iron skillet on a stove top for that. Crock pot also takes about 8 hours to get the meat the proper texture. I can get 8 pounds of sliced butt in my instant falling apart tender in just 90 minutes. Those are the real differences rather than taste
If you cut it up then 30 minutes should be about right. But you will wish you made more than 2 pounds. Pork butts still go on sale for 99 cents a pound every few weeks. It’s the best deal in the entire supermarket
Searing olive oil turns into tar. Sear with a TFAL Pan while you're at it? Peanut oil for frying, butter for searing. Recipe sound like a go for next Sunday.
That’s because you either aren’t getting the cook surface hot enough or you are unintentionally dropping the temperature with cold meat. Olive or avocado oil gives a great sear with proper technique
I am pressure cooker addicted....thanks for the recipe
Thank you for not trying to be a comedian! Your instructions were clear and I can't wait to try this.
I hope you love it! :)
Best tool to have in any kitchen is the pressure cooker. I can't believe how much time I spent cooking old school compared to now. Thanks for sharing.
Made this recipe today and I think I'm in love Used a stove-top pressure cooker and sweet honey bbq sauce 😋
Love to hear this! Thank you for trying my recipe!

I hope this will work in my crock pot as I do not have a pressure cooker (:(
May the pork be with you!
That's brillent thank you Sam
Enjoy ❤
Just to be sure we’re leaving it on sauté for the 40 mine right?

My fourth time cooking this sugar spun has the best recipes and this is no exception
Thank you so much! I’m so glad you’ve enjoyed everything so much! 😊
Cool knife
Holy crap, dude. That looks awesome
It's SO good!
My lunch for this week! Solved. Thank you!
Curious as to why you would use chicken stock instead of a beef stock?
I find the flavor and richness suits the pork better. But you could use beef if you wanted to :)
Go Ahead. Now go ahead with going ahead with you going ahead.
I am going!
Dinnerrr recipes!!!
I have lots over on my blog and even have a new weeknight dinner email series if you want to check that out 😊
WHAT SETTING? 40 min on low?
High. Enjoy! 😊
I just did the pulled pork recipe and made panini samiches topped with the BBQ sauce recipe.
Yummmmm
Can I cook your pulled pork in slow cooker if you do not have a pressure cooker
I'm sure it could work, but I'm not sure on a cook time.
Yes you can. Cook time for 4 lbs of pork shoulder is 8-10 hours on high, 10-12 hours on low.

Excellent video , Thank You !!! Would this be considered Texas or Carolina Pulled Pork ?
Hmmm I’d say the sauce is more Texas and the style is more Carolina.

Does pulled pork taste any different when using a slow cooker vs using an instant pot?
I wouldn't think it would change the flavor using a different cooking method. :)

Looks super yummy n just n time for Memorial Day. BBQ w/o anyone standing over a hot pit all day my kinda BBQ😁
Exactly!
If I am only doing 2 lbs of pork, do I cook for 40 min, or 20 min?? Help 🙄

@@drdrew3 Concur on the avocado, not virgin olive oil.
