Yes, I had a similar thought having owned the Pepsi, thinking I do not need the root beer. Then I saw it in person. I sold my Pepsi and my BB heritage in order to afford the root beer. A decision I do not regret. A beautiful piece.

I have to say I’m really impressed with the build quality and value for money that Tudor represents. As an old Rolex fan boy I have to say that Tudor are making the sort of watches that really appeal to me .. much more so than Rolex now. Keep up the great content !

Gives a bit of pop with the colour, makes it stand out from your other Tudors. Although don't understand why they didn't put T-Fit on this one to start refreshing those older style bracelets.
I've had my S&G Rootbeer for about 5 weeks. It's my new favorite watch. It looks much better in person. The matte gold against the steel is subtle and perfectly elegant and sporty. The colors blend nicely with the cream colored markers. This color combination softens the black dial and bridges with the rootbeer color on the bezel. The weight and proportions are excellent and it wears comfortably. The S&G is more expensive than the steel or the steel on leather but the steel version is equally gorgeous. Highly recommend checking out the 41mm version. My others are (nothing super special) 3 Oris, 2 Hamiltons, 3 Japanese Automatic Seikos, 3 Raymond Weils and 1 Mont Blanc.

Congratulations sir and I just picked up the same model from my local AD. My first Tudor! Definitely the gold has a darker hue similar to rose or even a similarly to bronze, but not yellow. The brushing of the gold makes it look more subdued which I like. I agree the piece looks much better in person and fits my 19cm perfectly. Thanks for the excellent review!
I also thought I didn’t need this watch .. until I see it. I ended up selling my BB heritage and BB Pepsi GMT .. and it was the right decision. It is an exceptional watch.
Congrats on your new Tudor!!, I got mine a week after the release and was the first on the island where I live to get one, I have a few new purchases I've made in the past year, Rolex 41 Sub, Omega NTTD Bond, Omega Speedmaster Chronoscope Panda, IWC Portugieser 150th Aniversary, and I find myself loving the Tudor Root Beer the most, I love the weight, the height of the matt dial that sits closer to the domed sapphire crystal, the toned down matt gold and the vintage vibe it puts out, the only downside I find is that there's no T-fit for the clasp, but nothing is perfect in life, hopefully next year we'll get it, thanks for all your great videos and enjoy your new Root Beer in good health my friend 🙂👍

So it’s eagerly awaited, the colours and materials are what sealed the deal for me It’s different enough to be a bit more unique, and it’s accessible, i was undecided between an Omega Speedmaster and a Hulk Rolex, the Omega has doubled in price in the last 5 years and the Hulk, well it’s virtually unobtainable as a brand new item and massively over priced on the grey market I will get a Speedmaster as a next purchase, as it’s a lovely watch, and will site well with my Seamaster i already own, but who knows, i could well end up with another Tudor black bay of some variety as they really do have such a great range currently 👍🏻 thanks for the review
I love tudors and Rolex. ppl often forget that they are very different watches look wise. one is more bling bling and another is more casual and vintage. Matching casual clothes is a lot easier on the tudors. Tudors also give you more room to change the look of the watch by letting you change the steel bracelet to fabric of rubber something Rolex watches dont look good when u do it. Overall id have both, Rolex for more formal occasions and Tudor for casual occasions.
A new watch is always a happy day! Congrats and wear it well. It's not my bag, but I absolutely agree it is nicer than the Rolex RB. Also, I think on your skin and living in HK, it's a very nice fit for you. In this generation of Tudors, I'm most impressed by the new BB36/32 bi-metals. Death to the crown stem!
Dear uptick, great comparison between these black bays. I like the matt aspect of the gold compared to the shiny seen on all the rest. I don’t know many brands do matt gold. Have you tried the under the radar black bay s&g 39, since this is my personal favourite from this year. I wonder if it is matt too like before? I do hope however they produce a steel model with jubilee and the mt movement.

They can make a 2 tone bracelet for bb58 but 2 tone on a bezel of a dive watch doesnt make sense. I have a less than 7 inch wrist and this watch fits perfectly on me
Interesting that the lumes are different colours. I own a two tone sub and the lume is also more yellowish than the regular sub white. Not sure why that is.
i have that ceramic tudor as well (on the leather strap).. it's a beaut also in real life (as i often feel that pictures sometimes make watches appear sharper and nicer than the real life counter parts)!

If I were you, I’ll sell all the Tudor and just get one of the hot ones, you won’t regret it, life is too short to be messing about with the second tier stuff. I mean it adds up to 20k (depreciating)dollar…you only have one wrist, what’s the point of having so many of so similar…not meant to be a nasty comment, just genuine curious, and what I would do. Though unless of course this is part of strategy to buy a hot Rolex at retail price from the AD??

I have the champagne two tone. Was after this but went with what suited my wrist. Love it.......and having a big wrist, the chunky size works.

Personally prefer the timeless look of full steel but still congratulations on the new piece.

What would you choose if you had to pick from- Sub Date LV + Black Bay GMT or Black Bay 58 + GMT ii BLNR ?

Yup..no point buying second tier stuff. Which is why I prefer Omega and so many others (including Tudor) over Rolex..
