@Imperial Death Trooper DT-725 Speaking of things that don't make sense... Ladies and gentlemen of this supposed jury, I have one final thing I want you to consider. Ladies and gentlemen, this is Chewbacca. Chewbacca is a Wookiee from the planet Kashyyyk. But Chewbacca lives on the planet Endor. Now think about it; that does not make sense!
Why would a Wookiee, an 8-foot-tall Wookiee, want to live on Endor, with a bunch of 2-foot-tall Ewoks? That does not make sense! But more important, you have to ask yourself: What does this have to do with this case? Nothing. Ladies and gentlemen, it has nothing to do with this case! It does not make sense! Look at me. I'm a lawyer defending a major record company, and I'm talkin' about Chewbacca! Does that make sense? Ladies and gentlemen, I am not making any sense! None of this makes sense! And so you have to remember, when you're in that jury room deliberatin' and conjugatin' the Emancipation Proclamation, does it make sense? No! Ladies and gentlemen of this supposed jury, it does not make sense! If Chewbacca lives on Endor, you must acquit! The defense rests.
He did not die he only went unconscious !!!

@Die in the face my allegiance is to the republic. To democracy!
There actually is a reason for vader being on the dark side. The Jedi left his mother in slavery and the first time he sees his mother in ten years is the last.
Not to mention, it was the Jedi who chose to leave her on Tatooine when they easily could've freed her, and several others if they really wanted to. The Jedi claim to be morally good. They claim to be loyal to The Republic as well. The Republic allegedly outlawed slavery. And yet, they constantly turn a blind eye to it. The only time the empire appears to use slave labor, however, is with the Wookies. The Wookies who can't speak and don't wear pants. Clearly, they aren't people, they're animals. The empire are the good guys, and the Jedi are not.
@@MasquedMocha i heard from another comment that the wookies were actually paid lol
Idk tho, havent watched it yet. (Dont ask why, i never get the time)
According to the novelization, Shmi Skywalker did not want to leave Tatooine as she fell in love with Cliegg Lars, got her freedom and wanted Anakin to be away from her so that he can fulfill the destiny that the Jedi told her about. Padme tried to look for her at some point but couldn’t find her as Watto’s shop moved elsewhere and Shmi was living in the middle of nowhere. If she came to Coruscant, Palpatine would probably kill her to try and get Anakin to fall to the dark side.
@@MasquedMocha The Jedi follow the ways of the force. If the force wanted his Mom alive and off Tatooine, it would allow it
@@MingusDynastyy So what your saying the force is: Yo Homie Qui Gon lets free this child of slavery because Im sure he would make a good Jedi but leave his mother and several thousand other slaves to rot and be sold and eventually die
I love how he summarized bounty hunters as private contractors
Thats what bounty hunters indeed are. Darth Vader is just giving job for these bounty hunters and Darth Vader said he will pay a lot for the bounty hunter who catches Millenium Falcon and brings them alive. So of course the bounty hunters listen then, when the empire itself has the most money in the entire galaxy, so they can pay you a lot, if you do what they want you to do. Empire can pay much more, than Jabba the Hutt could ever pay for these bounty hunters.
@@jout738 that don’t make it morally alright bro😂
@@jager-hill well what makes it morally wrong?

@@jager-hillor wrong.
I just realized something. If the rebels had never stolen the Death Star plans, The Empire may not have destroyed Alderaan.
True
They would've picked another planet with almost the same amount of innocents.
@@Cyberclone07 nah nah, nuclear deterrent. Nobody wants to glass an entire planet, it's an intimidation move, which they only felt the need to pursue the creation of because of the rebellion
@@cancerconnoisseur Sure, an intimidación move, killing thousands of innocents AND esentially making a massive genocide and a war crime. Surely that's an intimidation move.
@@Cyberclone07 Building the Death Star was an intimidation move. Destroying the Death Star caused more damage than destroying Alderaan in the grand scheme. Destroying alderaan, a planet full of terrorist sympathizers impacted only the lives of those from Alderaan. Destroying the Death Star plunged the galaxy into an economic depression that likely led to far more deaths than one meager planet.
@@cancerconnoisseur er, I can't tell if your joking or not, but if you aren't, well, the empire didn't have to destroy alderon. While yes, they did sympithise with the rebellion, it's not like the entire planet decided to declare war on the empire.

That disabled war veteran was Darth Vader.
Kaze Kaizaki that is rebel propaganda the Wookiee’s that are peaceful get to live in homes with their families only the rabid ones had to be controlled

The Stormtroopers bad aim was plot armor for the characters in every other instance the Stormtroopers wiped the floor with every rebel force. Fighting accurately, swiftly and precise.
Let’s be real here, the Jedi actually are the villains. Instead of helping anakin overcome his fears, they tell him to “let go”. The big bad Palpatine actually gave him a solution and his family only died cuz Anakin wanted power over anything else.
Ok let's be real. Anakin was a weak willed person, who let his attachments get the best of him. His mother. He killed all the sandpeople. And he probably liked that too. Then he fell in love and married, something Palpatine used to his advantage. "Only I can save the ones you love" and Anakin fell for it hook line and sinker. Now I won't deny the fear and anger. But with proper training, he would have been passed all that. But Anakin was weak willed and did what he wanted. Yoda lasted 900 years without attachments like wives, children or some other mortal trivial thing to interfere with his training.
@@chriswood1210yes and The empire f**king destroyed alderaan
@@chriswood1210but yoda didnt fully master the force. You must be able to balance to dark and the light. Thats what luke showed, you can have attachments and still be a Jedi. Having something to fight for makes you a better warrior
@@emmawatzon ok and? That doesn't contribute anything. Jedi could've avoided lots of deaths and suffering when the Sith only lead to more
@emmanuelwiller8256 Nobody masters the force. Not even luke mastered the force. At best, you can only ever become more masterful then those around you. Luke showed you can be a jedi with attachments, but yoda already knew that it was possible. He had an entire archive of past jedi that had attachments. But most of the time he saw they fell to the dark side so yoda tried to create an order that focused only on the light side of the force itself. The only real corruption of the jedi was that they were just as flawed as any other person. But unlike most other groups of people, when the jedi faced annihilation, most of the survivors were younglings and padawns. Most masters fought and died to keep their order and younger generation safe. They failed because they were naive and massively underestimated the sith, not because they were malicious corrupted villans. Overall Yoda raised an incredible generation of people that wanted nothing but the best for people. Its truly a shame, they were neither ready or prepared for the disaster called Sidious. Had they been even slightly more careful, it would have been sidious to meet his end. Overall though, im not agreeing with yoda's order, but Im more so concluding it under innocent naiveity. Yoda truly meant well and raised people that meant well. He just didnt properly prepare his students for the coming darkness and his order wasnt robust enough to wistand it.

Dude, that Lando Calrissian thing drove me crazy! When they made the decision to make Lando a General and put him in charge of the entire fleet, did no one stand up and say, "Wait, isn't he the guy that betrayed his friend and almost got us killed by making a deal with Darth Vader, just to save his own skin?"
You get enough evil sheepherders in your force, they do rather tend to take over. You've seen through the Alliance disguise, which even Lucas didn't "foresee". Rey for new emperor (which is actually the old emperor possessing her)! Hail Rey! Even bad girls can turn good, thanks to our original emperor!
Considering what some rebel cells did, Lando is actually one of the most ethical guys in their roster
When I watched the movie. I didnt even much pay attention, when Han and Lando were made generals, but it seems the rebel alliance does not have bigger charchters for generals, so thats why they make Han and Lando generals, when their one of the biggest charchters in the rebel alliance. Han and Lando general role still didnt have much in it, than to be complete maniac with their millenium falcon.
Who did some things off screen in between, keep that in mind. He's clearly done a lot for the Rebellion and he had a whole city to worry about
He also saved Han from Jabba so he redeemed himself
On a serious note. In the extended lore it is explained that the sith were originally an off shoot of the Jedi who called them selves the Dark Jedi. They did not wish to sacrifice their emotions and chose to leave the jedi. The Jedi order then tracked them down and systematically executed them.
The Republic was backed by the Jedi while the Empire the Sith. So by extension you could actually say that the rebels, whom are the remnants of the Rebpublic, actually are the evil ones.
Well. That is if you accept the extended lore as lore.
Falney Also the Republic then started complete utter genocide of the Sith species after
But with are inherently evil beings, who murder and destroy at will. And they are clearly aware of that.
@@arnolfo2741 technicalities
@@definitelyarussianpaidtrol1406 Its not fair to say the Republic. It was more the Jedi who at the time were in control of Republic troops. And its because of events such as the Great Sith Purge, that the Jedi were turned away from military action for thousands of years by the Ruusan Reformation. The Republic didnt agree with the Jedi in having to murder off a species and causing war over what was seen as a religious dispute. In fact, the only reason it changed was because Palpatine manipulated people to start a war. But thats all old news. Point is, the Republic and the Jedi are separate entities that dont generally answer to each other unless in times of galactic war.
There were so many really cool interesting things to do with the new trilogy... What were they thinking with the mess they put out? A movie about this lore would be awesome with tons of room to shoot off, tons and tons of philosophical questions to explore. Darth Vader just wanted his children. He was a single father who was a victim of child/family court who had mediators, counselors, and the other parents family turn his children against him. The novelization of A New Hope is even more supportive of this argument with the Empire’s focus on saving lives on Leia’s ship. Vader specifically orders that civilian survivors be left alive and only questioned, and we get to see a very interesting dichotomy just before Leia is captured.
We see the thoughts of the Stormtrooper who leads the group, excited to take her in alive. To simply stun her, receive a promotion, and return home a rich man to provide for his family. Then we hear the incredibly painful process of Leia’s blaster going through his helmet and melting his brain, after he would have merely stunned her.
I laughed when Princess Leia got a visit from the IT-0 Interrogator which punished her for murdering the galactic officer
Commander Buizel Bedwell wait, that shit was at the battle of Scariff... that means the rebels were taking civilians into combat with them ._.
Tbf, the novelizations had a blue Yoda so I'm not sure that's the best basis.
@Vice Admiral Buizel Bedwell
A compelling argument Jim Huss ENT and also Vice Admiral Buizel Bedwell but there is something to consider.
1: While the Galactic Empire is indeed a government on intent seeks to bring peace and order to the galaxy? It discriminates non humans.
In essence the Galactic Empire is really nothing more than the Third Reich, and while they too were a government, genocidal cleansing of those they deemed as, "non pure" meant ghettos, concentration camps, and finally gas chambers. Even until this day this argument is a core argument that we find very common about atrocities in human rights.
So if we are to take this into account? Is the Empire good? Because aliens that are not human in this case? With the exception of Thrawn are indeed inferior leaving other regions like the Outer Rim Territories to become the new slums leaving the Core Worlds to just human?
Yeah....frankly another example exist today between the rich living lap of luxury and the poor forced to suffer in the regions beyond cities.....
North Korea.
So in turn I hate to say it but yeah.....Suck it.....
2: WMDs to keep the "populace" in line.
Again WMDs could be considered a means of fear to bring about order. Sure the Atomic Bomb ended WWII? But THAT same counter argument incited ALSO a Cold War between the United States of America, and also the Soviet Union. A "Cold War" that on more than one occasion could have become both hot, and meant the death of lives and various civilization. In turn fear as a means of control is NEVER the best example and like any fear means eventually "apthathy" toward the oppressor.
Again gas on Jews in the Holocaust?
Gas used on Kurds?
Chemical weapons used in Syria?
You call those good examples?
Negative on that argument. Hate again only breeds hate, or anguish, in that case war, and in time could be good? Or worse than the power already in line. If atrocities were allowed not only would the galaxy in the Star Wars Universe reach a Dark Age.....
Oh wait, LOLZ, it is in the middle of a Dark Age......
THE MOTHER FUCKING DARK AGE OF THE SITH, OMFG FUCKIING BRILLIANT!
SUCK IT!
3: The Empire Was Never A Monarchy But Self Proclaimed Leadership Manipulated By Propaganda
Again I hear this a lot as for those that support the Empire, and sure yeah the Tantive IV might be an Imperial Ship?
Oh wait it was a Diplomatic Ship of the Aderaanian Government! FUCKING BRILLIANT!
See this is what you have to look at here, the Tantive IV was a ship from Alderaan, in other words a ship of the "State" this argument is pretty much debunked by definition if you will the Empire would be considered as "Federal or Higher Central Power" and Alderaan being "State, City State, or Providence". Now depending on the fact if Alderaaan is considered to be allowed autonomous is one thing or another. But IF SO; well then this is more of an argument of jurisdiction. Sure the Empire MIGHT have been collecting data back stolen on oh a Corvette "owned" by Alderaan? AND the Empire DOES have control of the galaxy?
BUT! The thing to look at here the Tantive IV was pursued technically in "International Space" or in this case one Tattooine. Which MEANS the Outer Rim Territories are considered more really as a region "outside" the control of the Empire and ALSO contested and yes this is canon by the "Hutts". So in other words yes while the droids, the data were on an Alderaanian Corvette? Not saying it isn't Corelllian Corvette, but YES none the less a Corvette from "Alderaan". Thus in turn the Emperor could bitch all he wants and use force to seize it? But again he would be in political terms breaking "International Space" seizing a Corvette in space he does not own!
So again to do this what does he do? He takes over Tattooine? To bring peace and order to the Empire?
So already a Corvette shot over a planet he does not own? Violates jurisdiction, out of fit Vader captures or destroys those on board, okay genocide if you will. Then after that to make an example brings Leia to the bridge of Palpatine's and the Empire's Big Ball to Jizzmak all over Alderaan.....
Oh excuse me.......destroy lives on Alderaan.
So we have already in this lets look at it this way.
A: Pursuing a vessel in International or Intergalactic Space.
B: Invading or Forced Entry on a ship outside of it's jurisdiction.
C: Maybe genocide to hide the events.
D: Invasion of a planet to find droids.
Uh yeah......sure their good I know someone else that did the same thing!
Naepolian, and Hitler, OMFG THAT'S FUCKING BRILLIANT!
So already an "Empire" committed violations already on an Intergalactic scale to justify itself would be considered laughable.
But I digress.....LETS SHIT FEST ABOUT THE EMPIRE'S CLAIM TO POWER! >:D
First what do we have, an invasion of Naboo. Jedi sent, and yeah shit goes wrong.
To justify things Sidious, "not in power" sends an assassin oh I'm sorry "apprentice" to keep the Trade Federation in line, kill the jedi with Padame who is queen at this time.
Wow opposition going to kill a noble through assassination. That's ALSO a form of treason. DUH!
After that manipulates events through kickstarting a civil war in II, followed by manipulate an individual through political intrigue to become his apprentice, AFTER he manipulated events to come into power as "Chancellor".
Finally in turn after winning the war, turn and kill a peace keeping force sworn to protect the republic. Jim Huss, you missed some of the main issues, like the Empire being environmentally conscious using solar powered TIEs. While the Rebels continue to use fossil fuels. The entire 8th movie is based on this.

The typical liberal material I expect from disney.
You know, that may be the reason why no one jumped to the aid of the "rebels" in the later sequels. This oddly makes more sense.
The new trilogy makes this video even more true. The fact the new republic fell in only a few decades proves that they never gained public support. Most people in Star Wars prefered the empire, otherwise the first order would not have risen so quickly.
Less than two decades - and they'd clearly been building forces for a long time. I get the impression overall that for most people life was much better under the Empire otherwise how did they garner so much support so quickly.

even if the stormtroopers did shoot at Obi-Wan, they would accidentally hit Darth Vader since they're so cordial that they can't fire properly

The emperor owns everything and everyone and can without or with reason do anything to anyone .
The core idea that by any means necessary to further the empire means morality can not matter and only exist as abstract. Destroy entire planet with billions of beings as nothing more then way test fire weapon when any of the billions of uninhabited planets would work . Killing of all jedi children because risk they may become list goes on and on show why is zero way for empire based on the core ideas shown in films or books to be good or even benign.

From my point of view, the Jedi are evil!
WELL THEN YOU ARE LOST!!
Memeing aside, the Jedi really did not have a good record before Palps came in.
Honestly, at least the Sith know what they're doing is wrong. Jedi basically were doing morally questionable things like taking babies, some of which turn to the dark side because of Jedi teaching failures, and refusing to learn from obvious mistakes.
At the end of the day for Anakin, the Jedi and Sith are no different, one had the thing he wanted in his eyes, the other were being assholes to him, the choice was obvious.
The Jedi are a child kidnapping cult of sexless space magicians.
They were seriously messed up. They only took children because they were easier to brainwash into never questioning the Jedi creed.
The first time in ages they took someone old enough to know how the galaxy really works - Anakin - and he grew up to destroy them.
Seme they killd lot of pepole on the deth star for like no reson
From George Lucas' point of view the EMPIRE is the EVIL EMPIRE.
Read the crawl.
The empire killed many people but most of the time they had been a threat to the empire, according to legends.. but it’s good to let people understand that the empire was actually good. More or less than 1,179,293 (counted from Wookiepedia) troopers, staff members, pilots and more were killed by a small terrorist group. These men weren’t clones but of course recruited by the empire, so they had to have wrote more than 1.1 million K.I.A notes to their families. Imagine how the pro-empire planets/civilians thought about the rebellion causing so much destruction and death
ian Neubauer true, it just depends on how you see them
Even if the stormtroopers were clones, they are still men.
Pizza Guardian but by destroying the Death Star is like destroying alderan also slave planets
They're ruled by a dictator, systems are subjucated and scared into submission, they use slave labour, they think nothing of obliterating a planet to make others fall in line. Yeah, sounds like the good guys to me.
Shogun Think about America and the Vietnam war. The US Troops were the good ones. Its the same with the Empire.

@@binderstonkeyes7172 uh what about the planet with MORE PEOPLE AND KIDS. And dont even try to defend them by sayong that was the only way to stop them.
The whole theory of Stormtroopers being bad shots has always had one major flaw. If they hit the targets that they're shooting at, then these movies wouldn't be very long. The people that they're shooting at have 12 inch thick plot armor protecting them. When they shoot at people when set to stun, or when they shoot at droids, they hit. Plus the one that shot Leia in Jedi, that was a hell of a shot. The clearing between the bunker and the forest was quite large, and the angle would have put Leia sideways with only a bit of her arm sticking out around the corner. Where it hit her arm is right on line with her heart, if her arm hadn't been in the way she'd be dead.
The only reason that the only reason George Lucas wrote the destruction of Alderan into the story was because without it the Empire would not have seemed bad at all.

7:40 han wasn’t ‘using an amount of distance to describe an amount of time’ the kessel run is a dangerous path near black holes, you can make the route shorter by flying closer to the black holes, thats why he used distance
that’s interesting
Also because at the time they didnt know that parsecs arent time, but distance, they had to bs theit way ouf of it later
But like...he was asked if it was a fast ship? That implies travelling a set distance in less time comparatively to some other commonly known referenced time. Any ship could do the Kessel run in less than 12 parsecs if they were lucky like Han. As someone who has read Timothy Zahn's Thrawn trilogy, I see what you mean. Thrawn was not trying to be harsh and unethical, he was just a navy commander. The empire, in those books, was not too bad.
Wtf, the main reason Thrawn is so special and has become so popular is that he was different than most admirals. No admiral cared about the life of their men, they just wanted to be promoted, the same way most politicians were willing to kill many people in order to become more important. And the big sith lord leader who murders his entire crew if they made one tiny mistake. The imperial academy, where every species other than human are being discriminated and attacked.
Then there was Thrawn, a man from a barely known species who values life and respects his enemies and treats his crew like his school class. He tolerated a lot of failure and had a high success rate. The reason thrawn was so special is because he was not scum who just thinks of himself like most other people in the empire. And even he bombed an entire city and murdered many citicens he had to protect just to kill a bunch of rebels. In the books you can see perfectly how corrupt the system was.
Apart from that this video is about the original trilogy and not about any books or movies playing at the same time. If you read the comics about vader and the time of Episode IV-VI you would easily see how evil the empire really is.
@Meister Hase . LoL. Osvald Teshik wanna know your location.
And the Rebels don't?
They also participated in the genocide of Caamas. A Bail Organa approved usage of baradium fission device, before DS was built. A thing for planetary obliteration. It blow up all in 500 000 kilometres radius(diameter of Alderaan was only 12 500 km).
A Rebels resurrect the Black Sun.
False flag operations and then arrive on the planet and propose an alliance.
They also easy can sell each others if it do a profit for them. They sold Leia to Hapes Consortium and let Hapes assassins start hunt on Han Solo.
Leia herself threatened women with the death of their children. Leia threatened a wounded civilian to leave him without help if he didn't reveal information.
Garm Bel Iblis just watch how rebel fleet die in Coruscant sky - he just wait before Mon Mothma make him important. And only after that he start save fleet.
There have cleaners for those who leave the rebels.
They betrayed their allies and shifted the blame to them. Like the rebels do it with Han Solo, when he help rebels in attack slave world.
They also have groups that will do everything and kill everyone.
It doesn't matter if the target is to blame.
If killing the target serves for intimidate the planetary rulers or serve any consequences for the rebels, they will do anything. Like kill families, kill childrens chop heads with absolute cruelty and use camera in process. Like it was write in X-wing books. And more other things.
Also, if Thrawn was constantly destroying cities along with the rebels(as you say) he should have blown up Leia and Han on Tatooine. When he hunted Killik Twilight.
Honestly I think the best thing for the SW galaxy would have been a reforming of the Empire under Thrawn. Thrawn and his second in command Pelleaon had real potential to clean up the worst of the corruption and make things run much smoother and hopefully more equitably. Pelleaon showed later in his leadership of the Imperial revenant that he did want what was best for the people. Really the Empire could have been great for the majority of it hadn’t been started by a legit evil madman like Sidious. The culture of the Enpire could easily have been different without it being set up on Sith backstabbing and power trip styles of leadership.
@@meisterhase3587 Imagine the SW galaxy had Thrawn and Pelleaon succeeded.
