New boat is looking good so far. Can’t wait to try it out someday!

Those tekotas were putting in work. What's your opinion on them?

Love them. Compact, reliable, good drag system. We get them serviced yearly but they hold up well in the salt.

Best reels I have ever used for salmon, bottom fish and halibut

Wow times have changed! I remember fishing the Kenai in the 80’s50-75 lb king were common, 40-50 lbs common at the mat su rivers, same with Kodiak! Now the kings and silvers are way smaller! The silver salmon derby winners at Seward and Valdez used to average approx 18-20 lbs! Now your winning fish are 14-15 lb fish! Two reasons, Seattle pollock factory trawlers and big increase in the orca population! Simple!😳🤣🤪

No doubt, times have changed. 30 lbs is the new 40-50 lb for King salmon. The King salmon derby in Sitka has had a similar trend to what you’re describing.

So is this for non-commercial salmon? I'm not a Full net fan but used carefully it is okay.
The trick with girls is to approach from downwind! BTW!

I’m not sure if that’s a compliment or not, but thanks anyway!
