Absolutely right! I'm from the UK ( S.Wales to be precise ) and although it's considered proper to have Yorkshire Pudding with a roast beef dinner I wouldn't dream of serving any roast dinner without Yorkshire Pudding ( maybe that's just me though lol ).
Dad’s a natural! Good, hearty meals and fun to imagine these places years ago.
My wife and i agree, you cannot have a good roast beef dinner without a great Yorkshire Pudding. Thanks for taking us to those lovely pubs. Brought back many good memories of our times in England.

Here in Vegas they blow up buildings when they hit 50 years old. I can’t imagine being in a 900 year old pub. Excellent vlog. Kudos to bringing your dad along.

Hello Hannah. I'm from British Columbia, Canada. We have nothing like a 900 year old pub here. As I watched, my mind wandered into thoughts of the people, nine hundred years ago, sitting in those pews, drinking ale🍺, enjoying portions of traditional English fare and discussing current affairs of their own day. You all are so blessed to be able to so readily step into and experience such ancient environments. Dad's feast looked fit for a King and appeared easily a 10 out of ten! It was definitely special, Hannah, to see you together with your family in a very old English pub.👍 ❤🌺🌹
Also from BC (Vancouver Island) and i find myself always envisioning life hundreds of years ago as well, like in this pub. I wish we had more historical buildings! You're lucky if you find a house that's over 100 years old here lol

I lived in Vancouver for 36 years and then moved to London. Local people do not always appreciate the history here but when you come from Canada you really do appreciate all the history and you could spend a lifetime just taking in all the History.

The Royal Standard looks amazing. Can imagine the place as a stagecoach stop in the 1600's, crowded and loud. The food has me drooling. For the price and ambiance, well worth it. The weather even cooperated by being gray.

Hannah, my dad had a strategy for making room for pudding. Whenever we dined out anywhere he ordered his pudding first... worth passing on to your dad, as it solves that "do we have room for pud?" dilemma. And on another note, isn't it funny how there are always several claimants for the "Oldest in England" crown? Lovely to see you having a Sunday Pub Roast with family. That first pub was CRAZY. How atmospheric! The food looked incredible. Nothing nearly that old here in Toronto but plenty of haunted houses.
Remember a visitor from UK saying our Pioneer Village not looking "old" but more like Uncle Henry's farm. Being as Uncle Henry's farm was older than the museum. 😁

I really enjoyed this video, Hannah. I absolutely love the old English pubs. The history is amazing. No buildings that old in Western Australia, of course. The oldest building in Perth was built in the 1820s. Lovely to see your Dad.

New Englander here. Weather has been typically spring in Portsmouth, NH, much the same as yours in London Hannah 😊. Lovely to have some of your family in this vlog! OMG, what an amazing Vlog. The oldest pub or not "The Royal Standard" must be the quintessential British pub? I am definitely going there!! And letting Dad get in the act was a great touch as well!
Hannah, my wife and I love watching your vlogs. The favorite so far was your recent "budget" lunch at the Ritz with your sister. And now this absolute museum piece really tops it off!
I have 2 observations and perhaps a little help for working with you iPhone - set the white balance once inside and stick with it until you leave. The pink walls at the Ritz bathroom and dining hall would have been reproduced more accurately and not waffle around on its own like it did. The other is to use HDR which would have helped especially in very dark interiors or bright outdoor/screening scenes inside a theater. While HDR playback is not common on laptops, they are on almost every 4K TV which is how we watch you - we love reading all the menu details. Both white balance and HDR takes a little practice to get right, but it's well worth the effort to produce an even more cinematic experience.
As to location requests - The Waterside Inn , Berkshire - but you must arrive by boat; and La Gavroche in Mayfair. Some of my fondest memories (and best food) in England of all time.
Finally - you bring very fond memories and a smile to our faces every time. Bravo!
I've tried HDR on my iPhone and it just doesn't focus on anything sadly!

I absolutely LOVE this! Love the "Englishy things". I've always heard of Sunday roast dinners with Yorkshire puddings and the one Sunday roast I did have the last time I was in London had it, so I would have to say they should always be included in the meal. Love this vlog!

Oh what a treat! The oldest pub looks like a place from Harry Potter world. Exactly one year ago I was in the Italian Gardens and Kensington. It was a warm sunny day and I enjoyed myself very much. Thanks for the pub tip ( 😉 ) I'll make sure to check it out next time I'm in London.

As a northerner we only had yorkshire pudding with roast beef, yet here down south my in laws argue and say yorkie puds go with any roast. The history and look of this pub I really wish to see this place. Great food, decent prices and a haunting or two thrown for good measure. We want more of Dad and Judy. 900 years old I would fit nicely - first thing i can feel that old.

I so enjoyed your pub lunches Hannah in those two wonderful pubs. One I can suggest is The Anchor in Ripley if you are doing any more.
