So much respect for a chef that doesn't phone it in for a 3-course lunch. This is my kind of splurge, what a treat! Thanks, as always, for taking us along -- and for taking such care to be respectful of their filming policies.
After that disappointing Afternoon Tea a couple of weeks ago I’m glad we ..um…I mean …. you got to enjoy this fabulous meal.😁 So nice to hear that the service was designed to make you feel comfortable. I think people are sometimes afraid to go to high end restaurants because they fear they might be made to feel unsophisticated. Thanks for taking us along Hannah!
What a special treat! The whole Ritz experience looked amazing! There was a lot of food for the price. The dishes served were presented beautifully. It's not something I would likely done but it was great watching. Thanks much.🥰
It is so wonderful that you and your sister have these memories of so much fun and a wee bit of decadence. Life should be full of bookmarks and experiences.
Hannah, this video is my favourite that you have ever made. I love all of the places that you have shown in this post. The food and service at The Ritz definitely deserves the score that you and your sister mentioned. Thank you for sharing. 👏
Hannah, you're always on point, but this vlog was 100/100! I've been following you for ages and you just keep growing and becoming more and more delightful! It's so lovely when you film with your sister, Nathalie, as well! Lots of love and thank you for taking us along!
That meal was so much more special than the high tea you had at The Lansdowne for a similar price. Thanks for taking us along with you. Have a great weekend!
Spectacular Hannah!!! If i am ever in London again, that will be the 1st reservation I'm going to make! I love how honestly you & your sister review the restaurants.
❤ This is what I like about you as a human being. You value culture, education, architecture, but what you will not value is hype. When you said the set menus are rubbish. I 😅. I'm glad you enjoyed the food at the ritz.
Thanks for taking us to the Ritz! Such a beautiful afternoon, I feel like I've been there. Love the furniture and especially those gorgeous flowers. Thanks so much for helping us see London. I loved the stops into the pastry shops beforehand too. Such a wonderful moment in my day when your videos pop up.
35:11 I can’t imagine you would ever see this comment, what with over 700 comments so far about this vlog, but I was so moved by your visit to the Ritz, I had to say something. Your honest experience of the Ritz was so heartwarming it actually brought tears to my eyes. I was so happy to see you and your sister have such a wonderful time. So wonderful, in fact, I have put the Ritz on my bucket list (along with the Tate gallery). Thank you for such a lovely video. You are the best!!
I watch your blogs with my mum when she comes home for the day from her hospital care home. She said she would love it if you went to the Victoria and Albert museum. She wishes she went there and regrets that she didn’t when we lived in the UK. Your vlogs are much appreciated and enjoyed by 2 expats now in Nz. Thanks 🤩
Cheers Hannah, it’s your peasant friend in Atlanta, Sean! Hahaha, you actually flashed “peasant” about the silverware! And I also immediately thought, “Beauty and the Beast“ when you panned to the ceiling shot with those beautiful vines! I have not been to the Ritz in 20 years and it looks exactly the same as I remember it! What a fantastic hotel! Thank you for showing me the Connaught Hotel! While I don’t know where it is located, I may swing by on my next visit, assuming my pea brain will remember it. Some of those pastries were just too beautiful to eat. That was an extra special video for me! And I’m so happy that you both enjoyed your meal and all the little bits and bobs and goodies that they brought out to you, especially the gentleman making your dessert. Did you both have a sugar rush after the amount of sugar that he put in that frying pan? And I really liked the amount of liqueur that he added. After watching your wonderful video, I wanted to book a trip on the Orient Express… Sean
Now THAT'S what I call "Putting on the Ritz" Hannah.... Beautiful, elegant, friendly, warm....and the Ritz wasn't too bad either! 🤣 Seriously, that's on my list now. Excellent in every way. Thanks for sharing the experience with us.🥰
Hannah and Nat, everything about that experience was stunning, and I was tasting all that glorious food with you. I think it was actually great value for £89, so please do go again soonest.
Thank you Hannah and her Sister (no pun intended😂) loved the video. I was nearly in tears at your reaction to the amazing food, service in The Ritz. I so want to book in for afternoon tea next visit to London. You also make me smile/laugh out loud on your comments. Keep up the good work. Sending love from Rosie O from a cold Devon, England 🏴 x
So thrilled to feel as though we have experienced "Good Friday at the Ritz!" 10 out of 10 from both of you! And you two have such a discerning eye. Also, thanks for the recent Easter and Spring videos. Heaven!
My FAV … time for a London revisit! I lived in London on two different occasions: once as a student at Sotheby’s, and, years later, working for an international company, who paid my rent in a prime location in Chelsea. Your vlogs bring back so many lovely memories and I’m nostalgic for a return visit. 💕 Thank you!
Wonderful vlog, Hannah! You and your sister enjoying a meal at The Ritz and graciously sharing your experience with us. Seeing the “short” drinks menu was a chuckle. I’d be afraid to see the full one. The food looked absolutely delicious and the presentation was beautiful. The trolley with the giant silver contraption and the port was a duck press (the food nerd part…) Happy Friday to you and your family. Happy Easter to you all as well (if you celebrate). Have a great weekend!
Hannah, that was incredible! The environment, the food, the service, the details, and the way you felt welcomed and appreciated. Thank you so much for taking us along❤❤❤
I vicariously live through your vids, so yes, please may we go back to the Ritz? This was everything 😍🥰😍🥰 I am so thrilled that not only were your tummies happy, but that service was excellent, and the environment was stunning and visually a meal also. 10/10 would live through your eyes again. 🙌🏽
Me and my ex steamed up the windows of that phone box after we left there once. It was freezing cold and there were no cabs, so we made our own heat. The mint green in the lift looks awesome along with the white & gold. That central passage (ooh matron) carpet is awesome, I bet it'd cost a grand just to carpet my tiny hallway.
What a way to start off the long Easter weekend, it was so much fun watching both your minds getting blown with each course coming out. I also notice the Ritz seems to have solved the Lanesborough problem of not giving you the option to take anything home by giving you a head-sized souffle so you're too stuffed to think about taking anything with you 😂 Hope you two have a great Easter break!
Very lovely and unexpected! The visual presentation is impeccable. And although the portions seem pretty small, I think the experience as a whole completely makes up for it. I might have a snack before showing up though! And the last few complimentary sweets were mouth-watering through the screen... this might be a really good birthday treat. Thank you for sharing with us!
Alright, I'm sold!!! It will definitely be on my list! To get such a rave review by you and your sister?!? It's a must!! Literally every single thing you've filmed here is ART! Whoever said it was old fashioned is off their rocker! The style is purely classic and elegant!! What a special experience to watch you have and this is the kind of quality, service and beauty that makes it so very, very worth and also very rare. This kind of elegance is something you would see in a palace. And THIS is what I'm happy spending bigger bucks on. Why don't more restaurants have this timeless beauty and quality? Everything modern is so overrated but poor quality, cheap and not special anymore. But this?!?!? Absolutely incredible and thank you so so so much.. it actually gives me a little hope that British art, beauty, tradition are still living on 🥲 Also, I really love your earrings!! So beautiful and perfect for the occasion 💖
ok, I am now convinced the next time I am in London I need to treat myself to a meal at The Ritz!!! wow, thanks for this vlog. love your sisterly adventures.
Hiya Hannah. I'm in the proses of binging all your vids at the Mo, after just discovering you. Love all the comments you make so funny. I've seen a lot of your dinning out with your sister and so far this is the best one I've seen. I don't think it's just the food at the Ritz but the stunning surroundings. I'd definitely take all that in, looks the best place so far from what I've seen where you and your sister have dined. And If i get down to London this would be my go to place to visit. Thanks for taking us along with you, and looking forward to more blogs🥂
I really like your videos, it's always so relaxing to watch them, they always put me in a good mood, especially when they're videos about holidays like Easter
Oh my gosh! I think this is the best food video you've done. Everything was just gorgeous, from the little shops you stopped at before, to the hotel lobby, flowers, walls, food, trolley carts, it was just outstanding. I'm rating it a 10 and could just feel the special atmosphere there with you. I also felt the little shops before hand had the best easter goodies than any other shop you've done, maybe because it wasn't overwhelming and attention to detail was perfect. I've never seen so much easter goodies in any store in America. Tell Nat, yes you will go and do that again!
Alright, first watch back video since our return from London taking lots of your suggestions. The Ritz pre-fix was outstanding. Was not a fan of the Connaught dog nor the Marchesi signature dessert. 5 star Ritz though. And the ladies room was like a fairy tale!
Fantastic !!! I sat and drooled the whole meal. I can't wait to come back to London. I enjoy your videos immensely , Hannah, You are sooooo good at it. The Ritz today with your sister was a 10 out of 10!!! "Stunning!!!!"
Beautiful as always. I don't know why we, in the US always refer the toilet as restroom or bathroom. I have made many mistakes when traveling abroad and asked for restroom/bathroom and people were confused. In the US, when you refer to the toilet, it literally means the commode that you sit on to do your business.
Happy Easter!! I love your vlogs. I'm definitely adding lunch at the Ritz on my next trip to London! Thank you for the delightful tour! Carol from South Texas.
That was such fun! Now that entire experience was worth the price. You both looked relaxed and had a wonderful time. My husband and I are c9ming to London next year and I am putting The Ritz on our itinerary. Thank you for your videos I am enjoying them so much. 😊
Fabulous outing! Decor brings to mind the scene from The Last Holiday where Queen Latifa asks "Doesn't that ceiling make you want to cry?" Just lovely.
Hi Hannah. Happy Easter. Really enjoyed your vlog. The lunch looked super and Such a beautiful dining room! Great that Nat could be with you……made the whole thing so good.
The Ritz is amazing, great value for the quality and service. Nat's Lamb looked amazing. The Hotel is gorgeous looking. Look forward to your next video. Happy Easter 👍👍😁❤
l treated my Mother, my 'single mum' sister, and her daughter, my niece, [who is a toddler] for lunch there and the staff were completely delightful, unfazed and un-snotty, the food for two [and a bit] vegetarians and one omnivore [me] was SPECTACULAR, every dish a visual and taste sensation. We too had Champagne [by the glass], and they gave a [complimentary] teensiest tiniest glass to my niece, which, after lunch made for a peaceful afternoon, but not until the toddler had had a brilliant time rolling about on the [incredibly] thick carpet of the 'approach' corridor to the restaurant, as we 'grown ups' had our Coffee', and petit fours. The best bit was that NOBODY minded.. they were all as entranced as we were ! Yes, it was expensive, but in terms of lifting spirits, for two amazing women, [and creating memories] , l consider it worth EVERY last penny.
So glad to see you are getting lots of views and comments on this one! What a lovely meal. I love beautiful hotels and wonderful food, so it was indeed a fab, vicarious lunch. And there were no calories. Maybe I can talk my husband into going when next we are in the UK.
Fantastic. It all looked so beautiful and I thought your camera phone did a wonderful job. 10 out of 10 from me on the editing of the building. The food did look so good, I would go but being in Australia not really possible at this moment. But thank you for giving us the experience. It was a treat to see you both enjoying it all. That video topped my Easter viewing!!!
This was wonderful to watch, not just the food, the whole sense of place and that it was serene. Captured so well. Nat's reactions really made the video too.
So nice to know that the Ritz can live up to expectations. The staff appreciated that you both treated them as human beings and not automatons, and responded in kind. Having met all kinds when waiting for my mother I can tell you how much it's appreciated. The food sounded and looked amazing. That gorgeous Edwardian bakery, you could imagine the staff floating around in their long skirts, so beautiful. London can still give the best of the best. Thank you as always for taking us along. I will never go, but it's so nice to go with you.👵🏴🌹🌹
For tourists. If you go to The Ritz, get a London taxi there. As doorman will open door for you when you arrive. May as well add to the experience 😊 The Ritz is beyond description and think Hannah will say, her video does not do it justice. I did the 7 course taster. Can't fault the French food but was too rich for me. Service is impeccable
I love how you become more and more confident on camera...sign of a great blog when it feels like the person is talking to each individual viewer. There's a reason people now react to your videos hannah.
You popped up and i’m instantly a fan . Ex Londoner here now living in Canada .The patisserie in Mayfair looks wonderful , on my list for my next trip home in August .Wonderful video ,it’s made me homesick .
Living vicariously through Miss Hannah Ricketts. You go and show the whole world how this is done 😊
I could not have commented better than you ! But I’m going too anyway 😂
We all are lol one day I’ll visit London who knows??

Everything is absolutely gorgeous, the architecture, flowers in the hotels and all the food selections! Truly works of art.
I agree and for £257.63 that's a cheap price to pay for the everlasting memories
I love how you and your sister are so relaxed and honest in these very posh hotels. Thanks for showing us the luncheon

Happy Easter Hannah. Having your sister in the videos makes them feel broader and adds depth. Her quiet makes you pop.
I laughed for 5 full minutes at the "peasants" add-in during the strange cutlery appearance. Fantastic vid as usual.. Thanks so much, Hannah & Nat.

Oh my! 15:21 is that Ian, the pianist is still there!? I stayed there in the late 90’s and he was such a lovely and warm person to talk to.

I will never go, but it's so nice to go with you.👵🏴🌹🌹
Outstanding, the food the hotel and of course the sisters.
Love the very fitting, fun music!😊
What a lovely experience. The surroundings play such a huge part of the enjoyment of a meal. ❤
They were doing Jazz in the afternoon on terrace not to expensive just a drink😂😂...but looked good
For tourists.
Oh thank you for the tip! I’m going there on Monday with my mom
@@mollymo6229 it does add to the experience. Hope your mum and you enjoy it 😊
I love how you become more and more confident on camera...sign of a great blog when it feels like the person is talking to each individual viewer.
