    I once had an boyfriend who used Dawn Dish Soap to wash his face! 😬 When I asked him why he said “If it can get the oil off the baby ducks it can get the oil off me!” 😱 😂 He would not believe me when I told him he needs to be using an oil...or any kind of moisturizer for that matter. What a fool! 😝

    Oils use to scare me as well, I like the rosehip oil under my eye and I also use tea tree oil. Great video, thanks for the recommendations 😊

    When your normal/dry but still watch 😋 I currently have about 8-10 different Ordinary products - and I LOVE most of them! The other day I went on the Hush app (free shipping) and stockpiled the Argireline Solution 10% because it is a holy grail for me! It has help so much with my fine lines under my eyes and between my brows! I don’t know what I would do without it.

    I am loving the herbavoire lapis balancing facial oil! I had gift pack with a sample and loved it so much I got the full size! I’ve always had acne prone, oily skin so you may enjoy too!

    I am just about to dip my toe in oil and serums. I am honestly a little nervous, but I am glad the oil I am going to try is in your list! Thank you for all of the information. I really like your eye shadow. You look amazing with warm OR cool tones.

      Samantha Jane I recently started using hemp seed oil only at night right before bed as my moisturizer. I rub it in and then take a hot washcloth and put it over my face for about 30 seconds for it to sink into my pores. I really notice a difference when I wake up in the morning!

      Yes! Started about a year ago to help not only with moisture but also my hyper pigmentation. I did research and have made my own Rose Hip Oil, Geranium & Grape Seed oil blend, that I think has been helping my skin a lot! I am a face oil believer! ;) -Annaleis

      Yeah I always got scared about using oil (little acne prone skin). I recently ben using The Ordinary 100% plant Dérives squalane. I use it at night. It's been a good addition on my skincare. I'm glad the web site is up. I need to stock up.

    I love using oil!! I used to use rubbing alcohol as a toner when I was in high school so I’ve come a long way 😂 my faves are rosehip and jojoba oil and chia seed oil is a good one to use under makeup if you need a little bit more moisture ☺️

    I have been using rosehip oil but not these brands as part of a regimen for taking care of old acne scars. I think that using this in combination with the MSM cream has been doing a good job of keeping my face moisturized but not overly oily. And of course, helping to keep wrinkles at bay. The rosehip oil helps to brighten the skin naturally, as well as provide antioxidants.
    You look gorgeous, by the way. That's a great look, I have to check out that video.

    Great video. Thanks for doing this. I've tried Drunk Elephant, Kiehls, and Julep Boost Your Radiance. I'm going to have to try the new Glam Glow Starpotion. I've also used Tarte's Oil too but I wasn't too fond of it. I got the Tarte free at Ulta a couple of times so it was a great way to try it.

    The Ordinary, Laneige, pai and Drunk elephant seem safest. I have sensitive skin, I want no perfume and no essential oils in my skincare . I hope the Ordinary sorts their issues and that they don't nosedive in quality and style if they end up being acquired by loreal.

    • @samanthajaneyt
      @samanthajaneyt  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Renée Yell brands get acquired by other brands all the time and nothing happens, they have more resources and money then. Urban Decay by L’OreL, Too Faced and Estee - if they increase the prices they lose the customer base so it’s not in their interest to change an already successful business

    The Clarins sounds nice. Ha! I never though of the oils staining my clothes either, but I guess they could. I'd love to try the Drunk Elephant & Sunday Riley, and Laneige but they're just too damm expensive. I use a rose hip based oil mix I made myself , I mix it with my night time moisturizer. I use the Olay Regenerist Luminous Facial Oil (it's a light oil blend) mixed with a light moisturizer in the morning. :) The Pai oil sounds lovely! Thanks for sharing! -Annaleis

    Can you please do a part two of this video about oils that includes newer released oils. I’ve seen this Herbivore CBD full spectrum oil, the farsali volcano elixir oil, the farsali unicorn essence oil & the first aid cannabis oil. The first and last ones are saying that squalene and cbd (nonhallucinogenic) ingredients are good because they calm the skin and the blemishes but I’m not sure if I should try them!

      I haven’t seen her video but I’m going to continue using the brand. I’ve had a good experience with it and I’d say a lot of other brands do the same thing or worse, every business is shady to some point for sales unfortunately - doesn’t mean it’s right by any means but this video was filmed long before the other day so it’s up to others to decide if they want to continue on! I’ve already banned tons of other brands for racism etc so this one I don’t feel as strongly about

    Can you pls share what acne-fighting medications you are on? I know these are prescribed and any of us viewers would have to talk to our own doctors for oral meds, but I'm def. curious to know your routine and experience with prescribed oral meds!

    • @samanthajaneyt
      @samanthajaneyt  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm not sure I'm comfortable with that, I share A LOT of my life already and I really took a lot of shit for having acne in the first place and then I'm sure would again for taking meds. Everyone is very different and their derm will prescribe what will work for them based on medical history etc. Maybe eventually but I haven't been on it for even a year yet so I don't want to come and tell thousands of people my experience if that makes sense?
