It's almost perfect.. squeezing every bit of throw out of a smaller tube light. I wouldn't mind if Simon made a 21700 version with a larger version of this reflector.
I would suggest asking Convoy for the 5A Buck driver now instead of the 5A Linear driver that's over-driving the NM1 to 5.7A. The Buck driver sustains a higher output which is nice. Using the Buck driver in a C8+ with SFT40 it holds at roughly 950 lumens which is amazing.
Yeah I noticed this light gets pretty hot. We talked about this driver issue once awhile back. Man, I reckon a green PM1 could throw well over 500m in this host.
@@DarrenYeoYT I measured the NM1 at 5.7A to only 395m and ended up eventually turning purple, I sell my stock with 3A drivers now to play it safe. Maybe pair the PM1 with the 8A Buck driver to see some decent numbers. A PM1 Green at 8A would be impressive too. Just testing the Wurkkos TD03 and man it's super disappointing on output. Uses stepdown timers at 30 sec and 2 min down to around 350 lumens where it remains. I feel like flying over there and giving the engineers a good kick! lol. Go review the Aplos T02 🙂
@@PiercingTheDarknessyou sell the S6 as well? Would be. Good for your hunting demographic with that extra throw. Think there's also a green W1. Oh damn, I see some manufacturers are cutting costs lately. Wuben decreased the 30% off code I had to 20%. Those timer drivers could be catastrophic with higher powered emitters in hot climates. Continued reactivation of turbo..
Convoy is pretty awesome. Picked up an S2+ recently with SFT-40 3000K and Buck Driver. Really versatile beam, probably my favorite LED so far, and the battery last forever with the Buck Driver.
Very nice... Would it be possible to have some day time photos of the locations posted on screen?.. along with something for size reference , maybe a person standing by the tree?
Thanks mate, 18650 form factor is at the limit of what I find comfortable to carry.. these tube lights. But something like a reylight pineapple mini is also awesome.
Hello sir! Do you have info about how much lumens on 100%? I was ordered same, but different, S8+ with same CSNLM from mister Simon, and i was wondered how much lumen can provide. Thank you sir 🙏🏻
Merci 👍
@DarrenYeoYT For me neither the title or thumbnail showed me this was a torch. I had absolutely no idea. Now I know, a word like thower makes sense but even then I expect many people won't understand that. Just something to make it clearer what the actual object is :)

i bought this as soon as it got hype on r/flashlight this past month or two
S6 w/purple 18350 toob gang LETS GOOO

I guess that's the same 3000K high CRI version of the SFT40? Best of both worlds :)
@ Yep, the High CRI. Pretty much indistinguishable from an incandescent.
Thanks for the review. Will you be reviewing the S6 SFT40 soon?
Glad you liked it. Yes mate I will release that video too and a few comparisons.

That's a good idea. I'll go and take some photos during the day sometime.
No on-board charging is a selling point for me! Less water and dirt ingress points.
True. A good compromise is an 'under the bezel' unscrewable design too.
Thanks for the awesome channel bro! Where is the best explained breakdown of the mode selection for the s6?
Thanks bro, ok so you can check the bottom of the page here: www.aliexpress.com/item/1005005919131469.html
The 12 mode groupings are listed.
Great overview man. I usually stick with 14500 for EDC, but for work/tactical/wow factor purposes it’s a top contender for sure.

Sorry I don't test for output yet, need to build a lumen tube.

Hi, the SFT40 version throws 381m, so less than the NM1 version.
@@DarrenYeoYT Je te remercie 👍
This one looks promising...I just might
Well worth it man. Or look at the S8 as someone else mentioned it has the same reflector but comes with a clip, crenulated bezel, cooling fins.
The S8 is BA!
This one looks smaller? More less throw?
I’ll try to find your S8 video.
OK, you see my name you know what I’m gonna ask you! How does it compare to the S8?!
It's the exact same except for how it looks.
That title needs some work
Hmm, how could I improve it?
