Hi!! British coins seem unique in that we have so many non-definitive coins in circulation, but we rarely see Canadian coins. When we do... it's party time. I was given a bag of old British coins recently (video due out soon) and in there were 2 £2 dollar coins. That was a nice surprise!! Cheers.
Hi Ian. It hasn't been released yet. From what I read on the RM site, it's due out at the end of the month..... just in time for the next pay day! Judging by the prices on the Proof Sovereigns, my gut feeling is £100 for a silver Proof ☹ Cheers.
Hi Cap. Yes, it dawned on me after I finished editing. I initially thought it was 25 years since her death, so a memorial coin, but that won't be until 2027.
Hi. Yes, these are quite common. The UK is quite unique in having so many non-definitive coins out in the wild. Have a look at this page on the Royal Mint's website - it lists all the 50p's in circulation. Cheers. www.royalmint.com/corporate/circulating-coin/uk-currency/mintages/
50p's seem like such a chill coin to hunt. I wish Canada had a coin of that size and heft.

What did the silver sovereign retail at Les? My prediction was 80 plus, but I didn’t check it out in the end

@ Wow, they’re out pricing theirselves if they do, silly money
Just a guess but maybe it is the queen mother's 125th birth anniversary next year

Do you usually find these coins in circulation?
