The Canadian 50-cent piece is 80% silver, and has a silver value of £6.50. You could easily sell it for £8 on it's own. The St Christopher pendant dates from the 1970s or 1960s. That's a nice find. The silver alone more than covers the £20 paid for the whole box. The swiss franc is worth one pound. The 1936 penny is worth a few quid in that condition. A total bargain box. 😊
That was like a personal trip down memory lane. I was born in 1971. And our family holidays where always the Isle of Man. A lot of other personal dates there. Really enjoyed seeing the coins .
Nice little box of coins, the Canadian is especially nice, at .800 silver too. I have had slim pickings at the auction recently, which helps with my self imposed "no buying coins".
The football clubs came from a set which was issued on the centenary of the FA Cup (although not the winners from the first 10 years or so when it was a mainly amateur competition and was won by such mighty clubs as Old Etonians and Oxford University). These came free with Esso petrol. The date on the other side was the year(s) that the club had won and who they had beaten in the final. I have a set but, being made from cheap metal, they are prone to corrosion
2:50 MaxPax did the vending machines at swimming baths and sports halls. If you ever got a warm drink after swimming that was most likely from a MaxPax vending machine.
Another great video ! Lovely 1917 Farthing and '31 Half Penny, with an excellent '36 penny (really great condition) - not to mention all the silver and the Yes Badge, well worth £20 - look forward to the next one !
I heard that Yes song in a pub recently and have been racking my brains trying to find it! Never expected to have found the answer here of all places! Thank you Paul! (And no, as far as I know I'm no relative of Steve!)
A nice assortment of coins and tokens The bird on the Isle of Man 🇮🇲 two pence is a Manx Shearwater The Arabic date ‘1370’ is 1950 Easily £20 well spent Paul 😊 Great stuff 👍🏻
Wow Paul those coin are on very good condition and it was very surprising to see two 20c Australia coins and one was a 1966 and it a shame it wasn't what is call a wavey line and it would have been made in England if it was.A good mixture of currency nice pick up thanks for sharing cheers mate. 👍🇦🇺🖐
I love your videos, I fined them very informative. (I must fined more time to watch them all). You are definitely not a farmer 🧑🌾 I have never seen a bull with udders! 😂 you have got some lovely coins there.
You got your money back easily, and some interesting coins. Not sure about the box. I guess you could fill it with some old coins you have laying around, you might get £20 for it.
Some excellent conditioned coins there. The 1936 penny looked almost uncirculated. Nice few bits of silver with the 1946 shilling and Canadian 50 cents as well as the Christopher Collects charm 😁. Bulls? Cows? Or were you just trying to milk it? 😂. The Football tokens were issued by petrol stations (Esso?) with the main side showing the winning team's name and crest, and the other side showing the clubs they beat and the year. Not a bad selection for £20
Yes 1960 Canada 50 cents is 80% silver in that condition with silver content here in Canada worth about 12 to 15 dollars depending on the price of silver
Some decent quality there! It sometimes pays to look up things like that 50 franc coin. I came across a 1958 specimen in about VF/XF, which Numista lists at £76 (low mintage). Sadly your 1952 effort is only worth £2.60 ... sorry about that ;o)
Yeah the Canadian 50p is 80% silver up to 68 dropped back to 50% silver!! Worth about 7.50$, That silver Saint, be praised, it paid for your box today, that pendant is from around 74, 75 my brother got one then new. That 1946 get you a couple of dollars!! GaryBailey 1902 Six pence here would get ya 6.00$ The Moroccan coin is 1951. I have coin boxes of the cupro nickel coins But have not hardly one of the large Coppers or even smalls, except for the Irish pennies I have a whole set of them!! Gary Bailey
Notts County beat Bolton Wanderers in the 1894 Fa Cup final. There are 31 coins in the set all FA Cup winners within the 100Years Centenary. complete set is worth $15.00
The animal on the South African 2 Cent coin is a wildebeest. I believe it is known as a gnu in some places. It was very cool to see that come up! Thanks for sharing your new acquisitions with us, Paul! One question - what is a JPM token? I have a few but I don't know what JPM is or what they were used for. Oh! And the coin from Asia that you showed us is from Sri Lanka, not India. 🙂
Hi Andrew. JPM International, Ltd. was a British designer and manufacturer of slot machines. They were in pubs form the 1970's. Some paid out jackpots in tokens that you could exchange for items at the bar.
The cross on the Maltese coin is the George Cross because Malta won the George Cross in the Second World War. The Maltese cross is a completely different shape and doesn't have George and the Dragon in the middle. The 1970 FA Cup final was contested by Chelsea and Leeds United. The match took place on 11 April 1970 at Wembley Stadium and ended 2-2, making it the first FA Cup final to require a replay since 1912.
that’s a nice find for £20 👍 I recently got my hands on a very large quantity and rarity of old coins, so many i don’t no what to do with??? They are all in separate bags so it’s easy to establish the years etc but i wouldn’t no if or what was maybe worth any value or who to take them too that would know what they are looking at lol. 👍👍
Its nice little collection but it saddens me that as a coin collector myself I know that one day my collection will end up being sold in a car boot or by a dealer
Paul, I'm hoping that the Irish 1968 1d. is the chickless variety it appears part of the second chicks body is missing, you'd have to put it side by side with a standard 1d to tell. If so worth £15-20 in that condition. You could also look at Tim's Coins he does a specific video on the 1968 chickless variety.
The Canadian 50-cent piece is 80% silver, and has a silver value of £6.50. You could easily sell it for £8 on it's own. The St Christopher pendant dates from the 1970s or 1960s. That's a nice find. Thank you once again for sharing your coin hunts. For me, the 1936 penny was the outstanding find.
The bird on the Isle of Man coin is a Manx Shearwater.
Thank you 👍
Nice little pick-up. Glad you allowed us to look over your shoulder while looking through
🤣 👍
A fun box to go rummage through! Thank you for sharing this with us. 😊 the Canadians definitely 80% silver.
That was like a personal trip down memory lane. I was born in 1971. And our family holidays where always the Isle of Man. A lot of other personal dates there. Really enjoyed seeing the coins .
Wow.... me too... was born in 70 though 😊
amazing and great quality video as usual, love it, just started getting back into coins after some serious time out of it, ty
Nice little box of coins, the Canadian is especially nice, at .800 silver too. I have had slim pickings at the auction recently, which helps with my self imposed "no buying coins".
I was happy with this lot Matt. Yes, the Canadian half dollar was the star find 👍

And Railway stations.
The silver really boosted the value, nice little collection.
I'd say that was a good buy😊 thanks for sharing and knowledge 🤗🥰👍
Cheers Karen 👍
You are now Coinelius Collectus! King of coins!
The Maltese coins show a facsimile of the George Cross, awarded to Malta in 1942 by King George VI. Hence St George and the Dragon.
Thanks for the info Paul 👍
Got some nice coins. Canada half dollar is 80 percent silver. Thanks for sharing
Nice haul of coins you picked up! Some in cracking condition! Nice one
Another great video ! Lovely 1917 Farthing and '31 Half Penny, with an excellent '36 penny (really great condition) - not to mention all the silver and the Yes Badge, well worth £20 - look forward to the next one !
The Yes badge is collectable, Yes (prog not pop) have been going from late '60's to the present day.
Definitely!
Great buy . Good coins for a very reasonable price.
I heard that Yes song in a pub recently and have been racking my brains trying to find it! Never expected to have found the answer here of all places! Thank you Paul! (And no, as far as I know I'm no relative of Steve!)
Hi Paul, excellent car boot pick up. The coin you said was from India is actually a 1 Rupee from Sri Lanka 👍
Cheers Ian, thanks for the info 👍
Great stuff. I love buying job lots from the boot and not searching through until I get home.
Yep, I couldn't resist checking out the pennies, but I tried not to look at the rest until I came home and filmed them. Cheers Paul. 👍
If that 1966 Australian 20 cent has a wavy baseline on the 2 in 20, it's worth around $200 - $700.
15:37 , 1902 sixpence is 0.925 silver, good luck with your collections.
A nice assortment of coins and tokens
The bird on the Isle of Man 🇮🇲 two pence is a Manx Shearwater
The Arabic date ‘1370’ is 1950
Easily £20 well spent Paul 😊

Depends what you’re looking for but i would say it’s worth it especially for the condition of some of them👌 and the Moroccan one is 1950-1951
That Woolworths recipe probably had very faint print,as over time the ink fades.

Hopefully I've edited my "Bull" balls up out now 🐮
@@CoinPatrol at least it wasn't a German coin, then it would only be one bollock 😂

Saved by the canadian i think!
I like taking a gamble on a wee lot like this when you see a bit of silver in it.
Hi Andy, thanks for watching. Yes. The Canadian half dollar was the star find 👍
That was a bit of FUN !! worth the money I reckon The 1936 penny was Great
Yes 1960 Canada 50 cents is 80% silver in that condition with silver content here in Canada worth about 12 to 15 dollars depending on the price of silver
Nice. Thanks for the info cweed 👍
The 1961 Scottish shilling has a very low mintage compared to most shillings.
South African two cents has a WILDEBEES on the tail side. Maroccon coin year Hijri 1370 = 1950/1 English year i think.

I have the identical silver saint Christopher here from the 80s which I bought in a jewellery shop , so definitely real silver
That yes badge is worth between 20 and 30 quid
The 1902 Sixpence is the winner for me
Great purchase
Yes, it was certainly a very nice find. Can't beat an old Tanner 👍
The Caribbean quarter could very well be a SILVER coin of 1956..
1936 penny was sweet. Nice lot
The box may well have nice acoustics, but it’s Sue who has the rhythm of correction😂

The Canadian 50 cent piece is .800 fine silver.

Canadian here, 50 cent was 80% silver until 1967.

Looks like a wildebeest on the African coin.
Correct
Paul, I'm hoping that the Irish 1968 1d. is the chickless variety it appears part of the second chicks body is missing, you'd have to put it side by side with a standard 1d to tell. If so worth £15-20 in that condition. You could also look at Tim's Coins he does a specific video on the 1968 chickless variety.
Hi Peter. The chicks on the 1968 penny are all present and correct. I do have an example of the 1942 half chick variety.
I'd give you a fiver for the box. 😂
Colonial coins many I think the collector kept certain coins from their travels
Manx sheer water ?
how fun that is great
THe Canadian 50 cent - 1960 : 3,488,897 mintage... Valued at about $9.80 ..
I'm not an ornithologist but I imagine it is a Manx Sheerwater
Fulmar, then a Wildebeest.
Ah, the thrill of the hunt!
The box looks like an old church collection box.
50 Francs would have been about five quid, so a high value coin fron 1952.
No. They had a redenomination in 1960. Each New Franc was worth a hundred old ones. So this one became basically 50 centimes?
Would you be willing to sell the Chelsea centenary Cup token please
I believe that 1370 Hegira is 1951 Gregorian.
50 cents from Canada is 80% silver and about £7 in scrap 👌😁
Cheers Dave 👍
Great video, superb knowledge and also you helped me identify some of my own coins.
Young Victoria still in 1892. Old Victoria in 1901, the year of her death. She died on the 22nd January 1901 so that penny could be rare😮!
Moroccan coin is from 1950/51
As the new year starts in November I think 🤔
1 Rupee is Celyon, Sri-Lanka not India. Wildebeest on Suid Afrika. Hajira dates can cover 2 Western years, 1370 would be a 1960s.
That's a Gnu (or Wildebeest) on the South African coin.
Hi paul i got a 1953,1959 6 pence coin
